  • Swiftclaw walked up next to Autumnleaf. "Would you want to go hunt with me? There's hardly any freshkill on the freshkill pile..." He said curiously, "I have nothing else better to do today, besides the Dawn patrol later...."

  • Autumnleaf stretched, still drowsy from just waking up. "Sure," she replied, claws kneading the ground, "haven't been hunting in a while."

  • When they got to the forest, Swiftclaw opened his mouth to bring in traces of mouse. "Hmm, the mouse is one fox-length away.." He meowed to himself.

  • Meanwhile, Autumnleaf stalked a chattering squirrel, tensing as it looked in her direction. She leapt and hissed in frustration as it swiftly scurried up a tree.

  • Swiftclaw stalked up on the mouse and pounced on it. "Heh, not even a challenge, how dissapointing..." He said to himself.

  • After a few minutes, Autumnleaf picked up the scent of rabbit. Now, she was no long-legged Windclan she-cat, but she was confident in her skills. She quickly padded behind the tree the rabbit was eating near, but once again her prey saw her before she attacked. The rabbit bounded off, but she was not about to let it go. Autumnleaf took off running at a dead sprint, weaving between the thin trees, chasing down the rabbit. Though, very soon she lost track of the fleeing rodent, and stopped by the river to catch her breath. Maybe she could try her luck at fishing...

  • Swiftclaw padded up to Autumnleaf. "Tisk, tisk, tisk, you lost the rabbit, I could've caught that rabbit in a second," Swiftclaw said, "how dissapointing..." Swiftpaw jumped up into a tree near the river and looked at Autumnleaf for a seconed, he then leaped among the trees in search for more prey.

  • Autumnleaf's lips twitched into a snarl, and she almost leapt after him, but her ridiculous fear of hieghts kept her glued to the spot. She turned around and sat at the riverbank with a frustrated hiss. She watched and waited, until a fish swam near, too near, to the bank. Autumnleaf was about to bat the fish out of the water, when she froze. The fish was oddly beautiful to her, with shiney red and silver scales. Instead, she watched it as it swam lazily about the clear waters. When it moved upstream or downstream, she'd chase it along the bank. She spent at least an hour doing this, and eventually dozed off on a flat rock near the river bank. She felt quite ashamed for not catching anything, but was to relaxed to think about it.

  • While Autumnleaf dozed in the sun, Swiftclaw came back to check up on Autumnleaf from the long hunt. He stood on a branch and watched Autumnleaf from above. He had burried the prey he caught, since it would be rather difficult to jump from branch-to-branch with food in his mouth. When Swiftclaw saw Autumnleaf sleep, he thought it was rather cute. He smiled. Swiftclaw actually smiled for once...!

  • Autumnleaf opened one eyelid, her bright orange eye glancing to Swiftclaw. She pouted, remembering they were on a hunting patrol. She glanced back to the water, hoping the fish was still there, but it was long gone. She would have to go back to camp empty pawwed. Autumnleaf scowled and quickly stalked off into the forest swiftly to avoid being scolded by Swiftclaw.

  • Swiftclaw swiftly jumped through the trees back to camp, he was quite fast, he got to the camp faster then Autumnleaf. He had put his freshkill he caught on the freshkill pile. Swiftclaw padded to the warriors den and layed in his mossy bed. He was still quite upset that his kin didn't catch anything today, but he knew she would probably do better tommorow.

  • Autumnleaf took her time getting back to camp, chasing bugs and butterflys as if she was a kit. She was quite proud of herself, though, as she had caught a good-sized frog that she could bring back to camp. She then hurried her pace, so she would still have time to wonder the forest before dark. She ran into camp, earning a few odd looks from other warriors, and placed her frog upon the freshkill pile. Autumnleaf then padded out of the camp to stroll in the forest sunset.

  • Swiftclaw just rested his eyes, he remembered had to go on the Dawn Patrol soon, so he got up and stretched. Swiftclaw walked out of the warriors den and chose a sparrow from the freshkill pile to eat. He decided to sit next to his friend Goldenpelt, who was also eating, Goldenpelt was eating a plump vole. When Swiftclaw was done eating, he said farewell to his friend and padded over and sat with the other warriors he was going on the patrol with. Those cats were Runningwind, Featherpelt, and Whitemist.

  • Autumnleaf walkthrough the forest, listening to the distant sound of barking and making another few failed attempts at hunting. She frustratedly clawed at a tree, leaving a deep gash in it. The barking had gotten a lot closer, and she padded in the opposite direction. The barking then became alarmingly close, and she bounded away. A medium sized dog burst through the bushes, running much faster then she ever could. In desperation, she clawed her way up a tree, fur puffed out in fear. The dog eventually lost interest, and padded away. Autumnleaf sighed in releif, only to suddenly relize how far off the ground she was. It wasn't a very tall tree, but to her it seemed like she was miles above the ground. She shivered in fear and squished herself against the trunk, too unnerved to look down.

  • When dawn came, Swiftclaw went on patrol with his clan mates, they were soming Autumnleaf's way, the smell of dog was still strong, and they scented it right away. They followed the horrible stench, and it lead straight to Autumnleaf. When Swifclaw spotted his kin, he was terribly upset. "What...Happened..." He said to Autumnleaf trying not to lose control of his anger.
