    Havenpelt's fur shone in the moonlight. her gray eyes glittered. she sat by the river looking. thinking about the days activities. she had lost her mate to a badger and she also lost her mother. she heard something behind her. " whos there? " she called out in a shy voice.

    "Its just me " a strong tom with gray spotted fur that gleamed with the stars padded through the bramble

    " hi! " she called out cheerfully. her voice masked the saddness within her but her eyes told the hole story.

    " im havenpelt. who are you " she said curiously

    " you look like youve had a bad day. what happened? " she inquired.

    " thankyou " she said. shyly she added. " yours is too. " her ears turned pink with embarrassment

    she purrd and rested her head on his shoulder. all her troubles melting away

    havenpelt didnt care. instead she raised the volume of her purr to match his.

    " no its not to early. i will go hunting with you " she answered. havenpelt always loved hunting. she was always the best out of all her siblings.

    she smiled and ran along side him. soon she smelled a mouse and stalked it. she soon was only a couple tail lengths away. with a giant leap she landed squarely on the mouse. killing it swiftly.

    A water vole scuttled through the undergrowth and seeing it Leopard crouched tiptoed and then attacked and killed.

    after she buried the mouse she caught a bird, squirrel and another vole.
