Owlpaw bounded around in delight. She was finally an apprentice. She waited for her mentor to show up so that they could look around the territory belonging to Riverclan.

Lonehawk sauntered out of the RiverClan camp. The brawny brown tabby tom went up to his new apprentice. "So, what do you want to learn today?" he mewed.
-
Owlpaw jumped up and down with excitement when she saw Lonehawk. "Everything!" she said, excitedly. "Take me everywhere!"
-
Lonehawk grinned at his apprentice's happiness. The dark brown tabby nodded. "Alright. Let's go down to the river. Follow my tail!"
The sleek cat sped off, his tail sticking high. "Catch me if you can!" -
Owlpaw ran right behind Lonehawk. "Where are we going first?" she called.
-
"The river," Lonehawk replied. the brown tabby enjoyed the sound of water cascading over the rocks. Music. That was what it was.
-
Owlpaw ran ahead to where she could hear the water running. She looked around for the river. "Where is it?" she asked.
-
Lonehawk saw the glimmmer of light on water. "Not too far. You see that shining light in the distance?"
-
Berrycloud had a mouse in her jaws as she heard voices. She went over to them.
"Hello." She meowed as she saw Owlpaw and Lonehawk, Apprentice and metor together. -
"Hi there," Lonehawk mewed a brisk greeting. "hunting any good?"
The brown tabby continued padding toward the river. -
Owlpaw looked at the newcomer. "Hello!" she said. "We are going to see the river! Wanna come?"
-
The brown tabby pranced to the river bank and gazed over the clear shimmering waters. "Look, Owlpaw, here we are!" Lonehawk nosed toward the expanse.
-
Berrycloud smiled at Owlpaw.
"Hello Owlpaw. I havn't caught much but the river would be a great place to hunt!" Berrycloud meowed. -
Owlpaw nodded her head. She looked at the river and saw her reflection for the first time. "Who's face is in the river?" she asked.
-
"That;s you silly!" Lonehawk chuckled. "When you look in the water, you can see the world that is opposite from it. For example, your face!"
-
Owlpaw gazed at herself in awe. "Really?" she asked. She wondered if she would be able to see her dead siblings using the river. "Can you see anything in a river?"
-
"Not everything," Lonehawk explained. "You can see anything that is opposite from its surface. Anything that you can see, can be seen here."
-
"And maybe a fish or two." Berrycloud purred.
-
Lonehawk nodded. "That's correct."
The dark brown tabby tom flicked up a fish with one swipe of his paw. "RiverClan is blessed with the river. We are always full even in winter." -
Owlpaw stared at the river in awe. "Cool!" she said. "Those that mean that all the clans are well-fed during the winter?"
