  • :D Rubyspot would love to be Runningpaw's mentor! (Her apprentice before was kidnapped :( )

  • ((Great)) Runningkit is now an apprentice and Rubystot is her mentor. Runningpaw ran up to touch noses with her mentor. " Hi!" she murmered sweetly.

  • "Hello." Rubyspot purred. "Perhaps you'd like to try to catch your first prey today?"

  • "Alright then." Rubyspot meowed happily. They then walked out of the camp. "Try sniffing the air. Do you smell something like the prey in the freshkill pile, only different?" Rubyspot asked Runningpaw.

  • "Good!" Rubyspot meowed. "Try to locate it. Then try to stalk up to it like this." Rubyspot demonstrated, tip toeing carefully with her tail not up high or down low.

  • Rubyspot continued."Then you pounce on it like this." She jumped onto a leaf and bit it. "Do you understand?" she asked Runningpaw.

  • "That was really good!" Rubyspot praised. "You caught your first prey on your first try! Lets try that again on another mouse."

  • Rubyspot spotted a mouse. She slowly stalked up to it. Then bam!The mouse hides into its burrow. Rubyspot smiled embarrassed at Runnigpaw. "Sometimes that happens." she meowed.

  • "If you want to we can give the elders a taste of your first mouse. Then we can try some basic battle techniques." Rubyspot said.

  • "Alright then. Try this." Rubyspot meowed. She suddenly lashed out with her hind legs. "Remember to keep your weight on your front paws." she instructed.

  • "Excellent!" Rubyspot meowed. "Do you think you can try to do this one?" Rubyspot pretended that a soft clump of grass was her opponent and brought her front paw hard down on it with her claws sheathed.
