RP^^
Necropolis has a rather plain camp. It most likely will not be permanent, for Necropsy can be indecisive at times. The main camp is situated in a clearing almost completely surrounded by trees, brambles, and a large stone cliff. A fairly narrow hole in the brambles and thorns provides the only way in and out of camp. The dens are located in individual caves within the ledge of the cliff; The Leader has his own den, The Blessed have their own den, The Assassins share the den with The Royalty, the Respected have their own den, the Apprentices have a den, and so do the Workers. The Queen's den and the Prisoner's chambers are also located within separate caves in the cliff ledge, however, these two dens are protected by a bramble/thorn barrier with an opening large enough for one cat to squeeze in at a time. At night, the Prisoner's den is blocked off further by a large rock that takes multiple cats to move and guarded by a Slave. The Slave's den is located in a patch of bushes surrounded by a bit of bramble. Freshkill are placed in or on a hollow log in the center of camp that has small holes in it in numerous places. The territory is rather large, with tall trees, occasional bramble, and a small river. Prey that are abundant in Thunderclan are abundant in Necropolis.
Necropsy, a tom, was once Blackkit of Thunderclan. Really creative name, right? He hated his mother even more for that one. Well, from the moment he was old enough to form thoughts, he did not like Thunderclan. He hated all of the clans, really. He was always playing a little too rough with his siblings, and he never understood why Thunderclan didn't just slaughter its enemies. Plus, his parents and siblings thought he was a bit of a freak-- well, so did almost everyone in Thunderclan. So, before he even had a chance to receive his apprentice name, he ran off. A mere kit can't survive on his own right? Wrong. Necropsy was independent since birth and stopped at nothing to get what he wanted. Sure, he struggled-- a bit more than he would like to admit -- but by the time he was almost 'warrior' age, he would have made most of the Thunderclan warriors look like kits; however, his thirst for blood and violence was a bit... overwhelming. Necropsy considers violence the answer to everything. Who can argue with a dead cat? Besides, fights always produce a clear winner and loser.
Necropsy wandered throughout many different places: the city, loner lands, anti-clans.. but he never really found a place that suited him; he wasn't the one to take orders. He always considered himself special.
So, Necropsy got a following of cats and formed a group based on his beliefs: Necropolis.
Necropsy considers Necropolis an anti-clan but at the same time, that isn't the Necropolis's main focus. Necropsy wants to be famous, and he wants his group to be too. He has always wanted his name to be well-known and feared, and he has wanted to produce the best offspring to keep his name and Necropolis as something to be respected.
Necropsy believes that the most violent, strong, respectable cats go on to The Haven where they are given almost infinite knowledge about the future and the world while the other cats that are 'average' go on to The Brink where they stay for eternity unless their kit does something respectable enough to get the parent into The Haven. In The Brink, cats can see the events happening on the earth, but they get no knowledge of the future. Also, cats in The Haven can be downgraded to The Brink if their kits do something cowardly or not 'respectable.' The cats that are cowards or that are downgraded even further by their kits are sent to The Grim. In The Grim, cats cannot see or know anything that is happening on earth nor do they know what will happen in the future. If a cat is sent to The Grim first, the highest they can hope to be if their kit does something very respectable is The Brink. Cats that go to The Grim immediately after they die can never be part of The Haven. Likewise, cats who go to The Haven after they die cannot be sent to The Grim even if their kit does something very distasteful.
Necropsy believes select cats are so great, they can be healers to cats on earth and occasionally receive messages from The Haven. These cats are some of the most respected cats in Necropolis; cats go to them for advice and healing, and they are believed to go directly to The Haven after they die. This special rank is called The Blessed and cats of this rank CAN have mates and breed but can ONLY breed to cats chosen to be worthy by Necropsy. Apprentices of The Blessed are normally chosen kits revealed to Necropsy by The Haven and are normally kits of The Blessed, but they do not have to be.
Necropsy believes that kits are untainted by bias as kits; what that means is that kits are reflections of their own capability and talent instead of the training put into them. In this sense, kits are 'pure' therefore, designated ranks in the clan are determined far before the kits have the experience to be called their certain rank. Kits are forced to fight at 4 moons old, and the result of the fight determines their rank. Whole litters either fight against each other or if another litter near the same age is available, against each other as well as the other litter. If a kit fights solely against his or her own litter, the highest rank he or she can achieve is Respected. The worst part of the Necropolypse is the parents of the litters are forced to watch; if any parent shows visible signs of weakness through watching his or her kits fights, the cat is immediately down-ranked according to his or her reaction. Necropsy does not allow weaklings.
Necropsy does not hold one true mate. He believes that he is to produce the best kits possible in order to continue his name and his clan. He will choose mates based on who he thinks will produce the best possible kits so he does not get down ranked after he dies.
1. All kits are forced to fight at 4 moons old in what is called "The Necropolypse"
2. Cats much respect cats of higher rank and perform expected duties or they will be down-ranked.
3. Any cat that breeds with a Slave or Prisoner will become a Slave or Prisoner, and the kits taken and dealt with accordingly
4. Any Slave or Prisoner that has kits with another Slave or Prisoner will have their kits taken and either killed or thrown somewhere outside of the territory.
5. Any cat with the ranking of Guard, Assassin, Royalty, or Respected that breeds with a cat in the rank of Worker or lower will be down-ranked, and the kits dealt with accordingly.
6. Cats of the rank The Blessed may breed only to cats chosen by Necropsy.
7. The highest rank a cat not born in Necropolis can achieve is Worker.
8. Any cat not born into the clan that joins willingly will be ranked as Slave. Then, the cat will be given a challenge or task to complete by The Leader and ranked according to how the cat responds to the challenge or task.
9. Captured cats become prisoners, and the highest rank they can achieve is slave.
10. Slaves and Workers must cater to Assassins and cats of higher rank if called upon.
11. Slaves must cater to The Respected if called upon.
12. Kits fight in the Necropolypse until Necropsy decides the time has been 'sufficient' in his eyes.
13. The word of The Leader is law.
Ranks are listed in order of most respected to least as well as order of who receives the best prey and most privledges
Leader- Necropsy
The Blessed - Description in beliefs
The Blessed Apprentices - determined in RP
The Royalty- kits of The Leader or The Blessed
Guards- Protectors of The Leader, The Blessed, and The Blessed Apprentices, and Queens carrying kits of The Blessed and The Leader. Guards have a highly respected position and are allowed to breed. Guards are well trusted by Necropsy.
Assassins- Assassins perform important work for Necropolis and Necropsy. This rank is achieved by a kit killing a kit of his own litter while in The Necropolypse with two or more litters. The Assassins can pretty much lounge around how they please and are not expected to hunt for themselves if they do not feel like it. Slaves, Respected, and Workers are expected to cater to them. This rank is highly respected and allowed to breed.
Respected- The respected are cats who perform important work that could have more casualties than Necropsy would like to expose Assassins too, but doesn't require too much talent to complete. The Respected are also 'back up' for the assassins. This rank is achieved by a kit either killing a kit of his or her own little while in The Necropolyse with only his or her little, or by a kit permanently injuring a kit in his or her own little while in The Necropolypse with two or more litters. This rank is respected and allowed to breed. Respected normally hunt for themselves, but have a fairly cushier lifestyle than the Workers. They are allowed to ask a Slave to cater to them if they please.
Queen- Queens are pregnant female cats that are having kits considered 'acceptable' or 'respectable.' Queens are catered to by slaves are expected to do little work and rest almost all the time to have the best kittens.
Apprentices- Cats between the ages of 4 moons old and around 8 moons old. These cats have already had their ranks chosen through the Necropolypse but are not trained to the rank yet. These kits are expected to be trained by a member (or members) of his or her own choice and will receive a ranking ceremony after requesting the leader and proving to the leader that he or she is ready.
Workers- This rank is considered 'average.' The majority of the cats in Necropsy will be Workers. Workers are the 'front-line' in battles. They are respected enough to be able to get a job done for Necropolis, but fairly expendable. Workers are expected to hunt for themselves at all times (unless sick and in care of The Blessed). Workers are allowed to breed. Workers rank can be achieved by a kit showing average talent and no hesitation to fight in the Necropolypse and by taking it seriously.
Slaves- Slaves are cats that were hesitant to fight in The Necropolypse, showed weakness, showed little talent, or are cats born outside the clan that joined by choice or Prisoners that proved themselves worthy. Slaves can also be cats downgraded from another rank. Slaves must cater to Respected cats or higher and do the major 'dirty work' called upon by The Leader. Slaves work almost non-stop. Not allowed to breed.
Prisoners- Prisoners are captured cats or cats that protested against The Necropolypse. Prisoners can be tortured by any cat ranking higher and are fed little. Prisoners are also cats downgraded from higher ranks. Not allowed to breed.
NOTE: if you want to RP a rank higher than Worker, Queen, or Apprentice, a more detailed bio as well as RP sample will be required. Advanced RPers will be preferred for these ranks.
