  • "Hmhm, nice try, but I heard you before you even jumped down! Noisy furball!" Cresentfoot gave a merow of laughter.

  • "Nope! Maybe is you werent cracking branches like a squirrel, you probably would've had a chance," she said with a smile. "Want to walk with me?"

  • Cresentfoot tilted her head in confusion. But she decided to let it go. She took a deep breath of the crisp winter snow. The sun bouncing off the snow made it glimmer blindingly.
