Blizzardpaw had been following dutifully behind his newly-appointed mentor, Scorchwhisker. "What are we going to do today?" he meowed; he was very excited. He had heard of a lot of apprentices saying how good it felt to be an apprentice and participate in the battles, and now that he had been promoted to that rank, he wanted to take full advantage of it.

"Well, first I want to see what you know. Tell me, what can you smell?"
-
He stood there for a few heartbeats, tasting the air, then meowed, "Vole, I think." It really had been a mouse, but he could never tell the difference between the two.
-
Scorchwhisker shook his head. "Don't worry, but that scent is mouse. You can tell by the more grassy scent. Voles smell more like water. So, Blizzardpaw, do you know anything about fighting?" The firey colored tom asked.
-
Blizzardpaw cocked his head slightly. "Um.. yeah, I guess. I've seen the other apprentices fight before when I was a kit and I sort of learned a few moves." He didn't add that he didn't think that his version of the moves didn't look too good in his opinion. In fact, in his eyes, they looked... demented, almost.
-
"Okay, good. Well, there is one move that I really want you to know. It's called the Dizzy Tackle. Here's how to do it: This is a great move for swift young cats facing older, larger warriors. You run in circles around them at top speed until their to dizzy or tired (if the were chasing you) to keep up. Then you tackle them. While they are down, attack. Caution, standing directly over them makes you vulnerable to the Belly Rake. This is a One-on-one move and is not recommended in a place with many foes. Now, I want you to do exactly that to me. And rember, claws seathed." Scorchwhisker nodded and stepped back, waiting for Blizzardpaw to start.
-
Blizzardpaw scrambled to take and remember everything that Scorchwhisker had just said. As Scorchwhisker stepped back to let him take a try, he faced his mentor, trying to think about how the move would work out. After a few heartbeats, he dashed straight towards Scorchwhisker then began running around in circles like his mentor had told him to.
-
(OOC:Starlingfeather, your mentor is Scorchwhisker. Eaglesong is in WindClan and is still an Apprentice.....)
IC: Scorchwhisker nodded. "Perfect."
-
Mossbrook saw the discomfert on Mosspaw's face. "It's fine," She soothed. "You'll do great. You were just stressed out. Next time, if you imagine that your just training, I bet you'll do fine." Mossbrook prepared to launch herself at Mosspaw, and she hoped the apprentice listened to her.
-
(I know, I'm sorry. Mistake :) . And, out of curiosity, how did Eaglesong become an apprentice yet be Eaglesong not Eaglepaw?)
Blizzardpaw stopped, a little dizzy, but the ground soon stopped tilting beneath him and he looked at Scorchwhisker, pleased.
-
(OOC: She is still Eaglepaw. Her Warrior name will be Eaglesong.)
"Do you feel dizzy?"
-
Blizzardpaw looked a tad bit guilty. "Um, yeah," he meowed in reply. Wasn't he supposed to, though?
-
"I felt the same way when I made this move up. And yes, I came up with this move." Scorchwhisker purred.
-
Blizzardpaw's eyes were wide. "How?" he meowed, with awe clear in his voice. He'd heard of the legendary moves that had been passed down from generation to generation; those really common moves that pretty much all ThunderClanners knew. But this?
-
"I just practiced."

MOSSPAW.
I'm looking for answers, some kinda relief
some kinda salvation, to make it all completeSwallowing hard, Mosspaw could do nothing other then nodd. She would simply have to believe in her mentor, and do her best. If it was that easy. The apprentice internally scoffed sadly. Spreading her paws wide, the white she-cat prepared herself. This attack wouldn't be like the one during the battle, the one that had sent Mosspaw's nerves and fears spiraling out of control.
"I can do this." Her soft words were not for her mentor, but rather for herself. Determinately, the she-cat locked her eyes on her mentor, watching the tabbies every move carefully.
-
"So you practiced fighting many times over and then finally you learned that this move was effective?" Blizzardpaw confirmed. He really wanted to know, because he wanted to one day make up his own fighting move that would be just as effective as Scorchwhisker's in battle.
-
Scorchwhisker nodded. "Yes, that's exactly what I did."
-
Mossbrook watched Mosspaw prepare. She made sure her claws were seathed, and then she launched herself at Mosspaw. She knew the apprentice would do purfect. :)
-
Blizzardpaw nodded. Then after a short pause, he asked, "So do you want me to try it on you again?"
