    Haki turned his head away. This tom had really almost gotten them both killed. Us? He'd invited Haki along, but the black and white bicolor acted as if he hadn't noticed. "Good for you. I've survived fine under stair steps before but that's irrelevant."

    "Oh... I just hope that gang is'nt there, I dont want to lose a friend jsut because of my past..."
    So tought Sandfire...Slowly padding away, as carefull as can be, out of the cave.

    He split direction almost immediately, the moment he was free of the cave's confines. Haki flicked his tail and didn't look back as he trotted away from Sandfire.

    "Hey, wait up!" Howlered Sandfire, "Wath are you doing. The nest is this way..."
    Sandfire almost realize he maybe had lost his first friend. "Wait, oh! Please wait and tell me I did'nt lose you!" He tought. "If you dont want to come along, than at least tell me were youre going..!"

    His muzzle formed a shaggy looking grin mixed with grimace. "I don't know yet. My paws take me where they will." Haki mewed, shaking his head. Did this stranger he had just met really care about him? How sad. How quick some cats could think they were with good friend.

    "Damnit, I need Haki if I want to live against those rogues..." "Huu..Haki, I really need you for something..."No need to say the whole truth" Do you mind just helping me out for this once?" Sandfire mewed.

    His eyes narrowed. "A favor does not come without price." the black and white bicolor mewed suspiciously, flicking his tail with masked contempt towards Sandfire. "What do you wish assistance with?" Haki asked evenly.

    "I need to get rid of a gang of rogues, but if you dont want to help me, its fine" "I'll just have to live this mesiry over and over." Sandfire added to himself.

    "You're looking at the wrong guy here." Haki mewed with a quick shake of his head. "Rouge-smashing is not my thing in case you didn't remember pointing out that I've got these..." he flicked his tail to some of his more realized scars from the fight he had encountered against Philadeplphia and Scarback.

    "Good then, Im happy whe got that settled. But you just made a choices for yourself. Since I cant get back to my home, Ive got nothing better to do then to follow you." So said Sandfire, now realizing he had no help for is quest, qich he now had to abbandon. He jsut hoped Haki wasnt going to kill him once he went to sleep, or worse, leave him. Haki was the only friend, even tought in an odd way, that Sandfire never, ever had."Where are we going next? If I may ask." he mewed in a cold voice.

    Haki's mouth half dropped open. How had he picked up a clinging loner? Ah... things might be safer if he traveled with someone else, this was true. He couldn't deny that, much as he disliked the idea of having to watch this tom's back. His ears flicked irritably. "I just walk. And avoid well marked borders."

    "Wathever, I just need a goal to my life." Tought Sandfire. "Its fine with me, wath ever works for you will work for me." Sandfire flicked is tail in impatience, wondering where is paws would lead him with this new "friend" of his. "Maybe I just need company" He tought...

    Haki snorted softly and headed off walking. He always did this, there was no purpose to it, there was no real plan. Maybe it wasn't the wisest route of action, but it was how he lived. And it would be how he died. The black and white bicolor tipped his head and tried to ignore the fact that he now had a companion. It was way weird.

    Sandfire tryed to pace up with Haki. Just a few mouse-lenghts behind him, Sandfire started thinking about the last days of events. He was dazzled by how much hapenned.

    Haki was relentless -- he didn't care of Sandfire fell behind. He was well fit to go tramping around, that was what he did with his life. The black and white bicolor flicked his ears,a dn was annoyed at the sound of another tom going along behind him.

    Sandfire did'nt ask any question, wondering where they would go next. He tought of maybe...Yes, that migth be interesting. "Have you ever heard of the clans?" He asked.

    An even growl was Haki's only response as he continued froward. Yes, he'd heard of the clans... dealt with some of them too. Stuck-up worrywarts.

    "I like that third thing you said, but yes, I've even 'met' the clans." Haki's scowl deepened, and he wondered if Sandfire knew how to appreciate silence.

    Sandfire understood. "looks like this is going to be a little bit boring, but you never know wath might lurk behind corners. This could just be the adventure I've been thinking about." "I'll be back sister..." Sandfire murmured to himself, "I'll be back with help I promise."
