Memories of Z: The Demon World.

Z landed on it's back and looked at it's eye. Suddenly, black smoke rose from it's entire body, a devils mark showed on the ground. Startled, Z pushed Faith out of the mark. A bright light filled the area.

When the light finally cleared, Z was on the ground where the demons body had been. He was writhing in agony, holding his left eye and wing. The skin on that wing was torn and bloody, the feathers already gone. Some shiny black material showed where some skin had been. Blood seeped through both his hands.

"Stay back!" Z roared to her. "The demon lives in me! It's... Trying to take over! I can't risk your life right now!"

Z struggled but to no avail. His left wing tore completely open, revealing the demonic truth beneath. He screamed in agony as blood poured out of his left eye.

His left eye stopped bleeding and Z stood up, slowly, and silently. He looked in her general direction, licking his lips. Black marks formed around his eye, made by the blood of the demon. His red eye was now a pure red, with a dilated pupil inside.

Z chuckled. Or rather, the demon controlling Z chuckled, staggering forward one step. He rotated his arm ever so slightly to get used to it.

The demon snapped his neck. "Do you want to hurt your precious Z as well?" He chuckled maniacally. "You know, this is still his body. Whatever damage you inflict on me is inflicted on him as well."

The demon chuckled and stretched his wings. Without a sound he vanished, reappearing in front of Faith, reaching out to grab her.

The demon missed her, obviously still clumsy with his new body. he growled and shook his head. "You can't escape me little girl." He chuckled.

The demon chased her.
