Tigerstripe slipped inside the warriors den beside Ivypool, giving her a comforting lick. It was almost midnight, but he had been out patroling the territory late. "I'm back, Ivypool," he whispered in her ear.

"I got stretched a bit, but the medicine cat put me back in shape," he teased jokingly, giving her a comforting lick before laying down. He curled up around her, resting his tail on her flank.

"That's wonderful!" he purred, giving her a quick lick. But he had doubts, however. Before, Ivypool was pregnant, and her kits had died. He had hope, though. They're going to make it! I can feel it!
