    Cheetahbreeze then mumbled "I-I'm going to go rest" She flinched when she lied. She felt restless. The kits meowed goodnight and they then went to Runningcreek.

    Ghostkit meowed "You taught Cheetahbreeze?" Echokit pushed him aside and meowed "Can you teach me?" Goldenkit chirped in "No me!"

    "Well, that's not my decision. Besides, you all are still too young to go outside of the camp. But," said Runningcreek to the kits, "maybe one of you will become my apprentice once you come of age."


    Rushingfalls was whispering with the medicine cat apprentice in the dark den.

    Cheetahbreeze's ears twitched as she heard Rushingfalls talking to the medicine cat apprentice. She layed her ears flat, so she didn't have to pick up anything. She wanted so bad to eavesdrop but couldn't.


    Goldenkit meowed "Your going to be mine!" Ghostkit whispered something in Echokit's ear and they both give a nod and tackle Goldenkit. Sunkit blinked, and meowed in a tiny voice "Can you be my mentor?"

    Her black pelt tingling with curiosity,Dragonflyfrost padded up to the stranger."Hi,my name's Dragonflyfrost."She settled down beside the stranger."What's yours?"She asked,hoping she sounded friendly.After all,she didn't want to scare a possible friend away.

    Cheetahbreeze smiled and meowed "Cheetahbreeze pleased to me you" She glanced at Runningcreek and the kits and Rushingfalls inside the medicine cat den.

    "...and I'm Runningcreek. My brother will be out shortly. He's getting a..... checkup," he meowed, staring in the direction of the medicine cat's den. "Now, I am not able to choose your mentor, but there is a great possibility that I could be yours," he told Sunkit kindly.

    Sunkit's eyes brightened and she meowed "Yes!" She then pounced playfully at Cheetahbreeze's tail and asked "Cheetahbreeze will you have a apprentice?" Cheetahbreeze looked down embarrased and meowed "Probably"

    "You don't need to get an apprentice until you are ready, Cheetahbreeze," said Runningcreek. He knew that she would be a little nervous about becoming a mentor one day.
    Rushingfalls returned back to the group with a grim expression on his face. "Who's the newbie?" he asked, looking towards Dragonflyfrost.

    "Well, just dandy," meowed Rushingfalls in an irritated voice. His tail lashed with annoyance.
    "Hey, not cool, Rushingfalls," scolded Runningcreek.
    Rushingfalls shot his brother a look, then stood up and stormed into the forest towards the river.
    "Don't follow, you hear?!" he yelled at his brother who was starting to get up.

    Runningcreek looked worriedly towards his brother, then looked at Cheetahbreeze.
    "I don't know if I should go after him, or..." he trailed off.
