    OOC: this is open so if aggressive dragons come to fight, we can have a little action... lol
    IC:
    Paige layed down in the nest, it was in a cave on the side of a mountain. she was a storm dragon. she flicked her sparkly blue tail. she had large sharp green spikes going along her head, back, and tail. her apple green eyes looking at the three eggs. any day now and they would be hatching. she looked over at festus, love in her eyes.

    "I can't wait." he rumbled excitedly. "To pass the time, would you like something to eat?" His yellow eyes burned brightly and his bronze scales shimmered.

    "Yes thank you, there should be a wild deer herd on top of the mountain and there is a farm to the east." Paige informed him happily.

    Festus nodded and jumped out of the cave. He opened his wings and soared to the mountain. There, he caught two bucks. He picked up the deer and flew back to the cave.

    OOC: do you want to play one or two of the dragons?
    IC:
    Paige looked at her eggs eagerly. as soon as festus arrived, the eggs started to crack. her eyes widened with love. "the eggs are hatching!" she said excitedly as her mate arrived.

    OOC: IDC. Two?



    IC: Festus laid down the deer in a corner of the nest and watched as the eggs cracked open.

    OOC: alright I will play one then.
    IC:
    P: Paige smiled as the eggs hatched.
    ?: she poked out her gray snout out of the egg

    Festus: Festus smiled as the three baby dragons hatched.
    ?: She poked her blue tail out of a crack.
    ?: He clawed at the green egg shell, cracking it.

    "How about Samuel, Katelyn, and Paige, after her mother." he suggested.

    "I like the names but I dont know if she should be named after me...how about ditzy doo?yeah I like that." Paige said thoughtfully

    Festus nodded. "That's a good name." he rumbled. "Samuel, Katelyn, and Ditzy Doo."

    Festus rumbled in agreement.

    Paige looked at Festus with excitement but with some worry shining in her eyes as well. "it is great we have eggs but what if dangers come and take them away?" she said worry building up in her.

    Festus tilted his bronze head. "I would protect them with my life." he growled slightly.

    P: Paige smiled brighter, with a new glint in her eyes. "i know you would festus.." she whispered silently, cuddling around the little hatchlings. "to bad none of them adapted your golden color....except for ditzy's golden spikes but...maybe next time?" she said happily.
    D: Ditzy doo cuddled happily next to her moms belly, opening her gray snout in a huge yawn, her pink tongue showing. she had small golden spikes running down from her head to her tail. she opened her eyes, kind of quick for a new hatchling!
    P: Paige gasped with horror. "oh festus!" she said with absolute sadness. "ditzy doo...her eyes.." she said looking at the floor. "it must be genetics.. my father and brother both had those eyes... just i look..." she said trying to explain her despair.
    D: Ditzy looked up at her saddened mother, her golden cross eyes, trying to make sense of the sort of blurry dragon.

    F: Festus looked at Ditzy Doo. He frowned. "What's wrong with her eyes?" he asked.



    S: Samuel swung his head around blindly.



    K: Katelyn crawled out of the egg shell.

    "its genetic...she's cross-eyed...meaning thats just the way she'll look and it will be a little harder for her to see....it comes from my brother and father...." Paige explained sadly. "but! we will not treat her any differently!" she said stubbornly, nuzzling each of her hatchlings.
