  • Perennial kit disliked this large cat whom she knew to be her mother. Though she didn't like it, and she didn't want to, she nursed anyways. She had to, or she would die. But hey, everyone dies eventually, right? Yet, Perennialkit still wanted to survive, her instincts kicking in. Staying alive, though, meant she could hurt or destroy the things that she didn't like. She would grow to look at it as doing all of the world a favor.

  • Perennialkit's anger still scared her, she was startling to get used to it though... She let go and lifted her head, she could smell a tom smell that wasn't a kit, 'that must be my father' she thought. She mewed, then realizing she had let go, fell, she hit something. She feared that it may have been Perennialkit, and Mewed in terror.

  • Brokenkit flattened her ears slightly, wondering what the spots Perennialkit could be possibly be complaining about. She settled down after a few seconds and started to nurse. She flicked her ear as she heard Dawnkit mew. We sure are a noisy bunch.. she thought.

  • "Shh. Shh. Little Dawnkit. It's just my tail." Fawnsong whispered and nuzzled the kit.

  • Realizing that she had done nothing to anger Perennialkit, she calmed down instantly. Then she stuck out her tiny tongue and licked Fawnsong's tail. 'Oh so this is 'tail' I think I have one of those!' then she turned around and licked her own tail. She mewed at her discovery.

  • Perennialkit, annoyed at her sister, mewed her first mew - a mew of annoyance, but still a mew nonetheless. Idiot... just figured out she had a 'tail'. Perennialkit was smart. She knew inexplicably what things were and how they worked. She knew how to walk - though, she needed work on balance. She knew how to eat, she knew how to do things. Instincts. That's what they are. She told herself.

  • Dawnkit noticed a pang of pain in her stomach... every part of her screamed of hunger... she mewed and climed back up, without realizing she climbed up all the way on to Fawnsong's side, then mewed again startled to be up so high.

  • ((Sorry, I was at my parents house visiting and had no wifi D:))

Lostkit mewed in a way that sounded as if he were in pain, although he obviously wasn't. Actually, he was more scared then anything...the new smells, feelings...it was just so much to take in! He continued to mew, this time as a grumble arose in his belly...what was this...was he...hungry! That was it! He was hungry.

  • OOC: I have a plot Idea

She falls off of Fawnsong and onto a warm fuzzy thing 'Is this mother's 'tail' again?' and licks it.

  • OOC: Sounds Good to me!

Perennialkit let out another annoyed mew. Would her sister ever learn? She wished she could see, and open her eyes, so that she could show her sister what she really thought of her. Hissing, she swiped blindly at where she thought Dawnkit was. Though, even if she managed to hit Dawnkit, the blow would be ineffective as she hadn't unsheathed her claws.

  • (omg I'm so sorry I'm late! I live in Japan and time zones suck D< )

Last born brown tabby she-kit, Leafkit, was the last one to react to everything around her. Seemed reasonable, seeing she wasn't really much of a playful kit more than she was a loving kit who loved to snuggle. Leafkit mewled pathetically in fear at the unknown atmosphere around her and stumbled over to her mother's teat to nurse, instincts amazingly telling her she was in need of the warm liquid her mother provided. She blindly and weakly crawled over her siblings in attempts to reach her goal, climbing on top of Perennialkit and suckling from there, ending up in a position to straddle her slightly older littermate.

  • This just made Perennialkit angrier. Ignoring Dawnkit, she turned her attention to her newest sibling. She let out a low growl, warning her to get off. It was loud and deep, another sound that shouldn't come from a kit her age. She tried to roll out from underneath her, but she was trapped. Letting out another hiss, she aimed to bite Leafkit's leg - the one closest to her face.

  • Brokenkit, starting to get annoyed by her siblings, let out her first hiss. She had her soft ears flat back, and she knew that if anyone fell on her or bit her or clawed her, well, she just knew it wouldn't be pretty. She knew she shouldn't let Perennialkit's anger affect her like this, but she couldn't help but be annoyed by her siblings.

  • Sootkit mewed and kneaded his mother's side. It was clear that he was very small; maybe even a runt. He found a place and suckled, eager to fill his empty stomach.

Bladespirit sniffed each of the kits gently, love flowing through him.

  • ((OOC: real cats open their eyes after a few weeks, but in warriors bluestar's prophecy they opened their eyes after about a day (This book is actually a prologue to In to the wild so there will be NO spoilers if you skip to page 8 (the prologue contains details on her death...) than yeah... (Click here then on preview this book, then scroll down to the page 8. According to page 8 warrior cats open their eyes much sooner than real cats which one are we following? Sorry for this long thing, but... I was wondering.

  • Fawnsong gently guided Dawnkit towards her first teat. Brokenkit was on the second, Perrenialkit on third, Sootkit on fourth, and Lostkit on fifth. She licked her fussy kits and purred lovingly

Leafkit let out a squeak when she felt her leg nipped on, and though it didn't hurt as much as one would expect, she flailed on top of Perrenialkit. When her mother moved Perrenialkit however she tumbled off and over, rolling a few times away from the nest before blindly mewling for her mother and crawling around, unable to come back but crawling further away. The poor little runt was too dependent still, unable to survive without her parents.

  • Fawnsong purred and nudged Leafkit towards her sixth and final teat.
