    DarkEco sighed in his chest, "Last season, some . . . bad things. . .happened. . .and I became very distraught." he inhaled deeply, "I don't want to go into detail, but someone I . . . loved . . . was killed." his exhaled stuttered as he breathed it.

    "That...that...was like me...Stormwhistle...the one I loved...he was murdered...!"Sunkiss blurted out, she looked away eyes looking at the floor, wondering if she had somehow insulted DarkEco or made him feel more bad and sad.

    DarkEco's eyes narrowed at Sunkiss, then turned away, "I'm sorry to hear that. I really am." he meowed quietly.

    "I am sorry to hear about you and the one you...the one you loved..."Sunkiss whispered, looking away with her eyes looking at the floor.

    DarkEco looked back to Sunkiss with an emotion he had never felt for anyone: Pity. He truly felt sorry for the she-cat's ordeals and, for once, wasn't worked up about his own problems, "Well, the past is the past, nothing I can do about it except keep her in my memories."

    "Same with me...I can only keep him in my memories..."Sunkiss meowed.
    "But...I don't know if I should try to find someone else or...or just stay alone for the rest of my life, however long that might be..."She meowed quietly, not looking at DarkEco; afraid he might see what was in her eyes.

    DarkEco shook his head slightly, "No, I don't think there'll be anyone else I could love more than I loved Heart..." the black toms paws lifted him off the ground, "Have you thought the same with Stormwhistle?"

    "Yes, but sometimes I think it's time to just...move on and find someone else...maybe you should think the same sometime?..."Sunkiss meowed as she nodded. She noticed DarkEco had stood up, Sunkiss looked at him, forgetting about the thing in her eyes she didn't want DarkEco to see...

    "I don't know. I feel like if I do move on, then I'll be dishonoring her memory and I can't do that, not to her." he sighed and clawed the wall of the shed, "But the pain of remembering is so hard sometimes."

    I have to tell him! But what if he doesn't [i]likeme?[/i] Sunkiss wailed in her head. Sunkiss nodded, looking away with her eyes looking at the ground. Her vision was going a bit blurry; her eyes were watery.

    "Sunkiss? What's the matter?" DarkEco took a step towards her. His tail was low with worry as the she-cat acted as weird as she was.

    "DarkEco...I..."Sunkiss started to meow. She looked up at DarkEco.
    "I love you..."She meowed uncertainly, what if he DIDN'T love her too?

    DarkEco's heart skipped a beat. A cold sweat made the fur on his face stick flat, "What?" his startled voice choked out, "You...love me? We just met..." he thought about how many other times Sunkiss might have seen him.

    "Not to me...I've seen you lots of times...but I never really had the courage to speak to you and tell you that I love you..." Sunkiss meowed.
    "But now, the time that I talk to you, it seems you don't feel the same..."She sighed sadly, she looked at the ground; it was hard to make eye connection now.

    DarkEco lowered his head sighed, then looked back to Sunkiss. He took a step towards her and tentatively licked her cheek, "I never said that." he meowed quietly into her ear.

    DarkEco said nothing. He just licked her ear and purred. He did love her. They were so alike. They had both lost someone important to to them. They should be together.
