Paige walked around in the streets, listening to her speed metal with her headphones plugged in her ears.

Paige walked around in the streets, listening to her speed metal with her headphones plugged in her ears.
Joseph sat on the curb, staring on boredly and sighing once in a while. When are they coming he thought to himself, staring at the horizon.

--
She looked up at the pretty sky, and smiled. That's when she tripped over something. It was a person. Paige fell to the ground, scraping her palms to draw out some blood. She looked up,
“Sorry ..”
Joseph," No it was my fault. His vision shift for a second, covered in red haze. Then he shook his head quickly and snapped out of it. He offered his hand to help her up.

--
The small amount of blood stained his hand. She looked at her hands, then looked back up at him with her brown eyes.
“It really was my fault, though .. And sorry for the blood on your hands.”
His vision snapped back again to the red haze as he saw the blood on his hand," It's ok.I'm Joseph by the way." he answered, barely able to contain his fangs

--
She smiled weakly, not noticing his behavior.
“I'm Paige ..”
She held out her hand for a shake, but pulled it back because she didn't want to get blood on him again.
This time his fangs slid out and his line of sight was covered in red haze. He looked at her bloody hand hungrily.
She took a step back, her brown eyes wide in fear.
“U-Uh ..”
Joseph tried to snap out of it but it was hopeless. His hunger had taken over. Blood was the only thing on his mind as he went closer and closer.

Eyes widening, she tried to distract him from whatever he was doing. Paige leaned in and kissed his passionately, trying to snap him out of the strange behavior.
Joseph stumbled back in surprise and hit his head on the curb. He finally snapped out of the haze and shook his head," I'm so sorry." he whispered

--
She still didn't know he was a vampire. No idea. Paige smiled weakly at him.
“It's okay, really. Some people act weird around blood, too. Some faint.”
The teenage girl said softly, holding out a hand to help him up.
Joseph was amazed that she still didn't know that he was a vampire," Yeah.... that was it..... I don't like the sight of blood." he murmered. His eyes were searching the horizon line and he knew They were coming." You really need to go." he said, not caring if he was rude.
Carson stopped and smelled the air, the only thing he could smell was blood. And his human-loving brother, Joseph. He narrowed his red tinted eyes and piled his hoodie over his head. Now was the time to hunt. Not think.

She was confused, looking around the streets.
“W-Why? What's wrong?”
Paige asked in a confused tone, her brown eyes glistening with curiosity.
" Something bad is coming." he said, his eyes filled with terror. Even he was scared of his brother.
Carson dashed through the streets, his brother always had a human with him and he was hungry.

--
She was still very confused, and she was frozen in her place.
“What's coming .. ?”
Paige asked, looking around once again.
" You just have to go." he said forcefully, now wasn't the time for explanations.
Carson was barely a block away. He could smell the sweet scent of a girl's blood.

--
She nodded, and began to run away towards her house, which was in Carson's direction.
Joseph just stood there helplessly, waiting for his brother.
Carson ran into Paige and chuckled to himself, There's dinner. he thought evilly.
He smiled at Paige, it was a horrible smile, full of venom.
