Spiderstar purred. "First you are going to have to change the nests in the warriors den and nursery, Trustpaw will take care the apprentice and medicine den. I'll take you out to get moss and once we finish, we'll train a bit more and then see about hunting a bit." Spiderstar dipped her head to the kits, touching noses with each one in turn.

Swiftkit looked at Spiderstar. "Can we help Windpaw change the nests in the nursery?" he asked his leader.
-
Windpaw's whiskers twitched in amusement. The kits wanted to help her change the nests? They must be really eager to be apprentices. Then she remembered what it was like just yesterday, and she had to silently agree. Being an apprentice was great, dirty bedding and all. "Do we have to get the moss first, or do we have some fresh bedding in camp?" Windpaw asked.
Lightwing stretched again and padded towards the entrance, intending to hunt a bit.
-
"Oh... Well, ye, of course you may. You can start taking the dirty moss out, but save the feathers." Spiderstar purred at the kits enthusiasm. "We have to get the moss first. We can also get some willow tendrils to line them with." Spiderstar nodded to the kits and lead Windpaw out of the camp.
-
Windpaw nodded and followed, keeping slightly alert in case the fox decided to make another run of things.
-
Brightkit and Swiftkit ran to the nursery.
-
Spiderstar lead Windpaw to the training hollow and began to pull up moss.
-
Windpaw started to pull up moss as well, watching Spiderstar for a moment to make sure she was doing it right before continuing.
-
OOC: HEY GUYS!!! I'm gonna end the poll soon, like in a day or two. So far in a tie, but it's bolding the Briarlight/Cinderheart one, so that will be the one if the votes don't change.
Spiderstar flicked her tail as she worked, eyes watching carefully.
OOC: I've run out of things to say....

Accepted! Enter any way you like. Would you like a warrior name, or just keep it Jasmine?

Windpaw gathered up more moss. "Is this enough?" she asked, gesturing with her tail to the load they had collected.
Lightwing pounced, killing the vole with a bite to the neck once he had landed on it. His tail tip twitched with satisfaction as he buried his kill and scented the air to locate his next target.
Stormhawk emerged from the warrior's den and blinked in the light, shaking himself a bit to clear the bits of moss hanging from his pelt.
-
Spiderstar looked to the pile and nodded, rolling it up into two balls. She picked up one and signaled for Windpaw to pick up the other. She set off towards camp.
-
Windpaw obeyed, picking up the big moss ball and following Spiderstar. She knew this was supposed to be a chore, but she had enjoyed it. Maybe the excitement of being an apprentice finally was overpowering the tedium of the job, but she had a feeling she'd like every part of it.
-
Spiderstar felt proud of Windpaw, she was an amazing apprentice. As they arrived at camp she left Windpaw and the kits to the changing of bedings and decided to go hunting. "Stormkawk," she mewed. "Mind going on a hunting patrol with Thrushpelt and I. We could stop by the border to check for the fox." Spiderstar planned to take Windpaw there a little later, but she wanted to make sure they didn't run into anything while they were there.
-
Stormhawk turned to face Spiderstar and dipped his head. "Sure, Spiderstar," he replied. "I doubt it'd come back after the thrashing Thrushpelt, Lightwing and I gave it, but it's better to be safe then have an injured cat on our paws," the warrior stated, coming up to a standing position and shaking himself slightly.
Windpaw transferred the first ball of moss to the warrior's den and started to change the bedding, checking each load of moss for flees before she put it down. She wove the feathers and such that were there into the nests carefully, and when she was done she surveyed her work for satisfaction.
She left the warrior's den then and brought the other moss ball to the nursery and started on the same process.
-
OOC: I'll be back in a bit. I gotta feed the horses then study.
Spiderstar nodded and waved Thrushpelt over, leading her patrol out of camp.
-
OCC: Mmkay.
Stormhawk followed, falling into place a little behind Spiderstar. He kept his eyes and mouth open, making sure to scent the air every few moments. He had always been good at keeping alert.
Windpaw finished the nursery and once again surveyed it with satisfaction. Good. She padded back outside and saw that Spiderstar had left with her patrol. She then spotted Lightwing and padded happily over to her father, sitting down next to him and watching him eat a squirrel with envy.
Lightwing's whiskers twitched when he noticed Windpaw's expression. "Go ahead and have something, you worked hard," he told her. She nodded, the earlier happiness returning, and fetched a vole from the pile.
-
Spiderstar waved her tail for Stormhawk to hunt with her and Thrushpelt to hunt along the brush near one of Ashclan's many streams. She tasted the air, following the trail of squirrel. She flicked her ears toward the other side of the tree who's roots the squirrel was on, signaling Stromhawk to take position.
-
Stormhawk nodded and circled around to position, assuming Spiderstar meant to drive the squirrel right into his paws. Partner hunting wasn't something he did often, but he remembered it from his apprentice days.
