Jadepaw saw her mentor dash into the clearing. "so...what are we doing today?" she asked, trying not to show her excitement.

"Some battle moves." she meowed,"Come to the training place." bounding away to the small area, she smiled.
-
She followed Linxpelt into the small area. "what moves will i be learning?" she asked
-
"First...attack me. Don't be shy." this was an old tactic on teaching apprentices about fight.
-
"Are you sure?" she asked. "I don't want to hurt you."
-
"Attack." she repeated.
-
Jadepaw stared a moment then charged at Linxpelt's feet, only she didn't go for her feet, she ran right underneath her and jumped onto her back. She made quick clawing motions, her claws sheathed.
-
Linxpelt flipped the apprentice from her back,"Somthing I didn't expect. Good. Again."
-
This time, she ran right in front of her, but then whipped along her right side dragging her paws across her flank.
-
Linxpelt slid aside before she got to the flank."To slow." She commented as she hit her apprentice upside the head to role her over with an stealthed paw. She grinned.
-
Jadepaw relaxed under her mentor, then suddenly kicked upward throwing her back a little. she skidded backwards and smiled.
-
Linxpelt rolled backwards and let out a mrrow of laughter as she landed standing." Good one. Your getting very good at this.
-
Jadepaw purred. "thank you." she let herself slunk back down, and stared off into the woods. "Most cats in the clan don't get to know me, they just treat me like an unloyal rouge." she sighed. "i wish i could prove them wrong."
-
Linxpelt purred," I know you will one day. You are going to make a great warrior." she curled her tail around her apprentice," Lets go climb some trees, okay?"
-
Jadepaw smiled slightly. "alright." this was an area of talent she had explored before.
-
Linxpelt nodded," Lets go." she purred.
-
They walked to a small grove of trees. Jadepaw looked up and examined them. they were sturdy with strong, flexible bark, great for climbing. "which one?" she asked
-
I want to see how fast you can climb, but first. Pick what tree you think i s steartyist. "
-
"OK." she said looking around. Her eyes rested on an old beech tree. it had low sturdy branches, and smooth bark. "this one," she said, jumping up. she jumped from branch to branch with perfect precision and speed, the skill that comes from doing it countless hours as a loner kit. "How was that?" she yelled from the top.
-
"Great!" Linxpelt yowled," Now, speed. I'm going to chase you through the trees at ordinary walking pace, you don't get caught." she leaped onto a tree, then to another closer to Jadepaw. She walked along the branch then leaped nearer to her apprentice.
