Lightstride sat up and says,"Hello Vinepaw I'm your mentor, Lightstride."

"Hello Lightstride!" the grayishbrown cat purred. "Pleasure ti meet you!"

"Would you like to start training now?"asked Lightstride.

Vinepaw's face lit up. "Yes, please!" she said.

"Let's go to Snakerocks and work on your speed." said Lightstride.

Vinepaw nodded. She was not as quick as some of the other windclan cats, due to her long fur. "Great!" she meowed eagarly.

"Then go grab something to eat before we go."said Lightningstride.

Vinepaw nodded and walked over to the fresh kill pile. She choose a mouse and dug in.

Snowpaw was at the Snake Rocks. Her beautiful white coat glimmered in the sun. Snowpaw observed the territory, she saw Vinepaw and smiled.

Vinepaw gave a purr to her denmate. "Hey, Snowpaw!" she said as she padded up to her.

"Hey Vinepaw! How have you been?" She asked.

"great! I've been learning all kinds of hunting and fighting and today im working on agility!" she meowed. "How about you?"

"Me too!" Snowpaw laughed.

Vinepaw laughed back. "Sure is a good day for running, huh?"

"Oh yea!" Snowpaw smiled.

Vinepaw sure liked the friendly cat. "Speaking of running... I'll race you to therock shaped like a tree!" she flicked her tail towards the rock resembling a maple tree and pelted toward it.

"Bring it on!" Snowpaw smiled.

She didn't go all the way fast at first. She saved up her energy to set free in small bursts. She worked up long strides in her lean muscels.

Snowpaw made long strides as well, she saw the tree she started to speed up.
