    He crept out of camp and went to the river. He sat down and rembered. When he opened his eyes, when he became an apprentice, when he made a friend, when he met his friends sister, when he became a warrior, when he mated his friends sister, larksong, when they crept out of camp every nighy and looked at the moon, when she became pregnet, when he met his kits, and when a storm came and a big wave came and flooded the camp and swept away his kits and mate. "how will I go on."

    GreyFang padded down to the river to sit with him. ''Are you-okay?'' she mewed consideratley, licking him on the head.

    "nothing much Greyfang, it is just tonight is when I started loving larksong. I miss her so much and songkit, barkkit, and brindlekit." he squeaked.

    GreyFang looked sympothetic, sad. ''Want some freshkill?'' she mewed. ''It should help you feel better.''

    "Sure" he looked around and herd mice. He pounced and killed it, then moments later he came back with two mice."Here." he pushed one to her.

    She shook her head. ''Im fine.'' she mewed politely. ''I expect no return.'' She lapped at the clear water which sparkled like Moonstone in the moonlight...

    Greyfang was beautiful... Did he like her more then a friend? Mabe."So how is your mate doing?" he asked eating the mouse.

    GreyFang paused. MATE? She suddenly thought back to the kits..''Oh, we were friends and'' she trailed of, looking at her paws.

    GreyFelt felt something that she'd never felt before...

    Cinderbreeze dived into the river.She came up with a giant carp flapping in her jaws."Everybody except us has eaten.Wanna share?"Her aqua eyes glittered.
