    Mekai tried to stifle a purr as she blushed. "oh... thank you" she mewed.

    Mekai stretched. "I'll go find some moss for my bed" she mewed. She padded away, hoping Kreme wouldn't notice the spring in her step.

    Mekai stepped outside into the moonlight. A cool breeze ruffled her fur as she padded towards a mossy tree. She clawed the moss off neatly, with practiced skill.

    Mekai returned to the cave with a large bundle of moss. She set it down and arranged it to make a cozy little nest.

    Mekai lay down in her nest. She stretched out. "Finally, after such a long and tiring day!" she mewed.

    Mekai nodded her thanks and took a bite. "Mm!" She mewed. "It reminds me of when I lived next to the ocean- I used to catch fish that were stranded in pools when the tide went out." Mekai took another bite.

    Kreme smiled. "Tides? I don't know what those are but okay. Maybe I'll see some someday. Who knows, I might be with someone. Mekai, do you forgive me for stealing the cookies?"

    Mekai purred. "I would find it very hard not to forgive you." She mewed.

    "No, but I'm a very forgiving cat" Mekai mewed. "Besides, I only hate mean cats. You're the first cat that i've talked to since.. well I dont even know!"

    "And your not so bad after all" Mekai mewed.

    Kreme blushed and twitched. "Thank you." For a second, he wanted to lick her, but he knew that they weren't on that level.

    Mekai stood and yawned. "We better get some sleep." She mewed.
