Tamina shot her paw back, but not quickly enough, the dog had managed to grab the very end of it. She screeched.

Blackpaw jumped on the dogs back and sank his teeth into it's scruff, the Rottweiler reared back but didn't throw Blackpaw off. He growled angrily

Tamina jerks her paw free and, seething in fury, rakes her claws,down the dog's face.

The dog snarled in rage and rolled over, squishing Blackpaw on the pavement. Blackpaw let out a single, "OWCH" then went limp in the street. The dog then turned to Tamina.

Tamina lurched forward and scooted under the dog's legs. Using her skills learned form the Acqdemy in the Northern Kingdoms, she aimed to dash by and scoop up Blackpaw.

Blackpaw felt himself be carried by a cat. He lifted his head up, and looked around dizzily, his eyes widened when he saw the dog was still here.. "Run" he whispered.

Tamina had successfully executed the move! She dashed across the thunder path and leapt into a tree. She set the young cat down on a sturdy branch. "You ok?" she asked.

Blackpaw nodded, "Thank you" he said. "You saved my life." he lay down, closed his eyes and fell asleep.
The Rottweiler stood barking at the base of the tree.

"You're welcome.....um, young one." she murmured. She was very happy that the scoop-and-run move had worked. She was proud to be the Queen and the soldier of the Northern Kingdoms.
