A light drizzle sprinkled down on the thick forest, most of the silver drops landing loudly on the hard ground; had the tall trees and outstretching branches not been so bare, the tiny drops would probably have never saw the ground. The day was mild for leafbare -- if you could call it day. The sky was an angry dark grey, looking almost as if it were night instead of the middle of the day.
A snow white, lean she-cat sat with her fluffy tail wrapped around her figure delicately. Small droplets caught in her thick fur on her chest, slithering their way down her body, hoping to reach the dry dirt. The air tasted like rain, and if Lunardestiny had not known better, she would swear it was a new-leaf day.
The she-cat's frosty blue eyes were clouded with pain; she felt lonely, cold, and bitter. The emotions flipped through her mind rapidly, each fighting to control her. She couldn't take it. She couldn't think about.... what had happened back in Thunderclan. That was the reason she left to begin with: to forget. The loneliness made it hard to forget... them. Those cats. No. They were never part of her family. She didn't know them. What cats? What is Thunderclan? The she-cat shivered as her mind flipped through images, and she fought to push them away.
The apprentice sized she-cat had become much skinnier than she already was after she had.... left Thunderclan. Or maybe she was just always skinny? She wasn't from Thunderclan. She didn't even know what that was. Although she was small, she was fully matured physically. She had been matured mentally too-- before... it... happened. She squeezed her eyes shut. She wasn't Lunardestiny anymore. She was Luna. She had always been Luna.

A hiss escaped Tango's mouth as he splashed through more mud. The down pour was small and the rain lasted seconds but it soaked everyone in sight, plastering his bangled fur to his body, making him look so much more smaller then he was. A small yet happy smile grew as he spotted a hollowed out tree trunk with his brown eyes and dashed to it, slipping in the mud. Once he got to it, he checked it for cats, did he slip in and begin to work on his fur, licking in the wrong way. But his made him think of his past... of Grace.
Pain slipped across his features as his beautiful sister and her vivid green eyes flashed across his mind. She smiled and laughed in his memory, more then likely at him and this bought one small tear to his eyes. Tango shook his head hard, making him dizzy before working on his mud stained paws, spitting out mud as he did so. She's gone now. All of it... gone. Never to be seen again. The thought jumbled together, clashing with the images of his sister and making him angry... so angry that he slashed the fur above his right paw, drawing a small stream of the deep crimson red and a sigh from the Bengal's throat. Leaving his leg bleeding, he sat up and stared into the misty rain, pain shooting up his arm... but nothing compared to what he was feeling inside. -
The rain seemed to fall from the sky faster, plastering Luna's fur to her body. She was glad it was not cold or she might freeze to death out here, alone. She kept fighting images of a warm den in Thunderclan out of her mind. I always have lived here.. in the woods she hissed to herself, looking for some place to go to dry off and avoid the remaining downpour. Although the silver shards of rain pelted the surrounding area as far as the she-cat could see, the droplets were relatively small. Without her fluffy fur to fill her out, she seemed to be much skinnier and starved looking; the she-cat seemed to have forgotten the last time she ate.
She didn't see any point in moving out of the rain. She didn't see a point in anything. She felt broken no matter how much she pretended everything was okay. Everything she had once had was gone. Everything that had once made her happy had slipped from her grasp faster than she could even comprehend. It was funny how things could go from being perfect one moment to terrible the next.
Lunardest-- Luna seemed to barely notice the scent of a cat approaching. The miserable she-cat didn't even seem to care. No one could save her from her agony and make her forget. The rain was doing a good job of concealing the cat's scent, so Luna was not sure if it was a cat she had come across before, nor could she tell how close the cat was. The snow white she-cat just sat and waited. Her pelt wouldn't be hard to spot. -
OOC- I still haven't gotta approved to post on the advanced board yet

IC- Tango spotted a splash of white and watched it move, closely, wondering if he was going crazy or not. Th rain poured harder and the blob melted away into the rain. Curious, the tom padded out. He tried to scent the blob, but nothing came. The rain must have washed it away. Sighing, he turned back, his pelt looking like it was going to fall off his body and a mouse scurried in front of his paws. Easily, he caught it and when he headed back to his little den, he bumped into something.
A growl rose in his throat as the scent of cat washed over him but as he blinked his eyes, he saw his sister... or a copy of his sister. Dropping the mouse into the muddy puddle below him, he padded closer. "Grace?" He whispered loudly, stared at the white she-cat with such intensity, the Bengal must have looked crazy. -
OOC: Oh well. Sh, keep it on the DL. (sorry I took so long to reply... I have been CRAZY busy) How many words/sentences are advanced supposed to be?
IC: Luna seemed to be stuck in some sort of trace. The silver droplets fell before her eyes and hit the ground with an audible ting, and Luna seemed to only see the drops. Everything else blurred and faded and only herself and the small but rapidly falling drops remained. The white, graceful she-cat didn't even notice her pelt was becoming sodden and heavy, nor did she notice a slight shiver had set into her body. The world spun while the drops and herself stayed firmly planted.
Luna longed to forget herself. She dreamed of waking up and being anyone but herself. What a miserable thing it was to fear existence and fear remembering. Suddenly, her trance was shattered as something large slammed into her. All of her memories came rushing back and it was too much for the she-cat to handle. The pain hit her like she had been physically attacked and she cried out loudly, curling up as if to defend herself from an onslaught of claws. She heard a voice and wondered if she had died. Is this what dying is like? Who is Grace? she thought. -
OOC- Don't worry, it's fine.
I believe it just has to be one full paragraph.
IC- Tango gasped as the she-cat yowled like he hurt her and curled into a tiny ball. "I-I'm sorry, I thought you were... someone else." He mewed, bending down to check her pelt, but there wasn't any wounds. The rain dripped from his ears and nose as he remembered Grace was dead... but could she have been reincarnated? He lifted her up, noting she was as light as Grace, but her wet fur added on some weight. He set her on his own wet back and padded to his little dry den.
Setting her gently into his warm nest, the Bengal asked, "Are you okay?"
-
Luna seemed dazed. She had no clue how she had gotten into the forest; heck, she barely even knew who she was. The tom that had grabbed her from the spot she had been in, in the middle of the rain and forest, was handsome and seemed sweet. She wondered if he was her mate. Had she met him before? She really didn't know. A word seemed to be on the tip of her tongue, Thunderclan, but she wasn't sure why. What was Thunderclan?
The words of the tom seemed to echo. It seemed as if only he and she existed and nothing else mattered. Who cared what Thunderclan meant; it was just a jumble of useless words. She felt warm. She was still wet from the rain that had soaked her pelt, but amazingly, she was warm. Snapping into reality, she realized the bengal tom had asked her a question. "I th-think so" she mewed quickly. Was that nervousness and awkwardness she felt? She seemed to have forgotten how being around a handsome tom made her feel. She truly hoped he wouldn't leave. She felt so confused and lost, and he seemed to know all the answers. -
OOC- Still haven't gotten Angel approved...

IC- Tango eyed her with his own green ones. He came closer to her, and began to lick her fur the wrong way, it would dry that way. She looks so much like Grace... he thought, looking at her longingly before shaking his head. "You think so?" He mewed back, softly before chuckling. "Well, you seem in no condition to go anywhere, and you wouldn't get anywhere in this rain." Shifting his gaze to the rain, which was pouring down so thickly and it was so cold it created a mist and he could barely see two feet in front of him.
"I'm Tango." He mewed simply before licking his own fur the wrong way.
-
The tom's voice sounded wonderful to Luna. It seemed to pulse through her body, filling her with an emotion she hadn't felt in forever; the tom's voice made her feel.. complete. What a strange thing that a stranger could make her feel like a new cat, which is exactly how she wanted to feel. Her past seemed to disappear with the misty rain. "I suppose so" she mewed, her heart skipping a beat at the thought of staying with him. It was like this was a dream. If this was a dream, she really hoped she wouldn't wake up anytime soon.
"I am Luna" she purred, trying to sound beautiful, if that was even possible. To sound beautiful. How strange. But this tom was doing strange things to her already, and she had only known him for moments. -
OOC- Still haven't opened it yet... -sighs-
IC- The Bengal smiled friendly towards her as he finished licking his fur. "When I saw you go in the rain, I thought you were someone else." Tango admitted, kinda shyly before he chuckled. "That was a silly thought, really." He mewed, mostly to himself before watching the rain.. thinking. He felt like his heart was finally fixed but then crushed again, harder. The thought of his wonderful sister alive was amazing... unreal. Yet, Luna looked so much like her. Suddenly, his gaze hardened as he watched the puddles form. I have to move on.. He thought before looking at Luna and remembering why he came here anyway.
"So Luna," A hint of cunning and danger mixed together in a perfect combination, "Why were you in the rain?"
-
The rain continued to drip. It fell from the trees in glorious drops, scattering across the forest floor so effortlessly. Luna wished that she could be but a drop of rain. To be part of an endless, effortless, thoughtless cycle. This thought calmed her and coaxed her with its gentle promise. Then, the lovely white she-cat with the pained eyes could be free. She could float to the forest floor and not think about anything. It was strange how the older she got, the more she felt weighed down by her experiences. The things that had once made her happy now made her terribly sad, and her heart ached with longing to repeat the past. To appreciate it. To cherish it. She didn't want to let anything go. She envied kits and apprentices. They were so free. Their hearts did not carry the burdens her heart did.
The tom seemed to defrost her frozen heart right along the edges. She felt warmer, but the frostiness remained. She ached to forget. She ached for it with every particle of her being. She knew she was being a bit rude through her distantness. However, something told her she couldn't tell the tom of her past. To admit something like that was to admit it happened, thus making it real. If she didn't say it, maybe it would just disappear, washing away with the crystal drops of rain.
She looked at her paws, fighting to bring back the outgoing cat with the pristine personality. The cat that had not been damaged far beyond repair. The cat with the frosty blue eyes that were everything but cold. The cat with the eyes full of warmth and joy. She would have to pretend. Pretend she wasn't broken. Wasn't damaged. She couldn't run the tom off and lose him like she lost everything else. Well.. she mewed. It may sound a bit silly, but I was lonely. I was hoping I would come across someone or something. Her eyes glistened like the drops of rain, though they were full of happiness rather than sadness. Luna could be a pretty good actress if she wanted. She was the type of cat that could act so well, whatever she pretended became true to her and instilled in her heart as truth. Who did you think I was? she asked, with just the slightest hint of playful curiosity. -
Now it was his turn to draw away. The pain returned, eating the playfulness that surrounded his green leaf eyes. They widened slightly as he tore his gaze from the rain and to the she-cat. Pain struck in his heart, worst then it was before. It reopened wounds and cut deeper then before. How could she had left me? Maybe she faked and this is her...? Tango thought before frowning. My sweet sister would never do that to me.. not after the nights and days we spend together. This thought seemed to close off the wounds, only band-aiding them as an old feeling he got when he was laying next to his sister spiked his senses.
Slightly weak, walking in the rain.. alone and lonely... The words mixed together with his tiger-like personality. Shielding the wounds and closing his heart off to the feeling of.. well he didn't have a name for it. He came slightly closer, a flirty tone tinted his voice he smiled cunningly. "You looked like someone I knew who was just a beautiful as you."
-
The feeling inside of her that buzzed with familiarity was strangely odd. The warmth that tugged at her heart and made her stomach flutter with tinged with something bitter and desperate. This was not the same feeling that had warmed her soul when she had been with her mate and kits. This was different. However, the she-cat didn't quite realize it. She ached for the tom with desperation unlike she had ever had before. She needed him in her life. She refused to let him leave her. Refused.
The rain continued to fall, pour really. Large, heavy drops of sorrow. The drops were like a baptism. The start of a new life. Leaving the past behind. Could she do it? I can, she reassured herself. She puffed up her fur, further instilling her vow of confidence. She blushed slightly when he called her beautiful; she hadn't heard that in a very long time. Thanks.. she mewed shyly. You are handsome yourself. -
He flashed a cunning smile and made a pose. "Well, I am pretty handsome!" Tango said with a chuckle. True, the Bengal tom had something different from the other toms. His stunning amber eyes seeing to catch she-cats like a net. His Bengaled fur was very exotic and was always clean and fluffed. Plus, his muscles can be very well seen.
OOC- Out of muse..
-
OOC: Do you want to do a time skip to get this plot moving?
IC: Luna had never imagined falling in love with another tom, but she had. She had. She fought to admit it to herself, but another part of her refused to believe it. Her long fur was beginning to lose the droplets of rain it had caught when she had wandered out into the forest. Fluffy white clouds were desperately trying to push away the angry grey ones. It seemed as all of her past had been washed away. A new chapter of her life was beginning.
-
OOC- Sure, we can say that they became friends and this is were he says he 'loves' her?
IC- The grey clouds began to loose the battle as the fluffy white ones pushed through, the rain slowing by the minute.
-
Luna settled down into the nest as the dark clouds disappeared from the sky. She felt safe, secure, and relatively happy. She was exhausted, however, and she wanted to sleep off the aching feeling in her muscles. She wondered what her life would hold now that the handsome tom had come into it and washed away all the bad memories. Her mate had never existed. Her kits had never existed. Lunardestiny had never existed. Now, there was only Luna and Tango. The thoughts soothed her and rocked her to sleep.
-
Tango watched Luna fall asleep, staring at her and slightly smiling. After she was already asleep, he didn't move from were he was. His leafy green gaze switched up to the sky as the puffy clouds took over and the blue sky smiled back at him until the sun began to paint the sky into it's inky night sky. The star twinkled and the Bengaled tom smiled sadly. Can you see me Grace? Do you know I love you? Do you approve of what I'm doing? He thought and braced his self for his wounds to open up again in his heart but was surprised when they didn't.
"I'll take that as a yes." Tango murmured before curled up beside Luna.-Timeskip-
-
The pain seemed to almost have completely faded from Luna's heart. Luna seemed settled now that Tango had stayed with her and hadn't left. She felt comfortable and happy. She had never thought either of those things would be possible again. Luna had forgotten about her life in Thunderclan; she had realized that if she lied to herself enough, the lies would become truth. She needed Tango like she needed air to breathe. She clung to him every day.
One cold night, she had discovered Tango with another she-cat. She had woken up in the night to realize Tango was missing. Panic set in, and she desperately chased his scent through the frosty forest. The thoughts of her kits and mate dying sprung back into her mind painfully, and she imagined Tango dying a million terrible deaths. Finally finding Tango, Luna nearly fainted with relief. However, she saw the other cat and other emotions took over her frail frame. She knew immediately that it had to be the she-cat's fault; Tango would never ever hurt her on purpose. So, she quickly forgot that ugly mousebrain she-cat and moved on. That was the only time she had really thought about them since meeting Tango.
Tango to Luna was like a drug. An antipsychotic pill. She needed her daily dose of him, or she would be a wreck. She would wander aimlessly like she did before, caught between the past and reality. Without him, she did not even know who she was. He grounded her. He made her a new cat. Her obsession with him deepened every single day. She would not lose him. Even if she had to follow him every single day, every moment.. Tango was hers. The day was like any other perfect day since she had met Tango. The thin white she-cat woke up as the sun itched its way over the horizon. The ground was coated in ice outside their den and the frosty air somehow pierced her fluffy pelt. Luna waited for Tango to wake up. She was eager, like every other day. She could hardly go 5 seconds without seeing his beautiful eyes, hearing his smooth voice. She needed her daily dose of medication.
-
It was true. Tango went along with Luna for awhile. He actually loved her. She looked and acted so much like Grace, it almost hurt to see her smile, or look at him. The white she-cat had taken his heart, and cut it into a million pieces. She reopened the wounds but he quickly healed them by laying next to her. Then... it set in.
Luna began to follow him around... asking all the time where he was, who he met and how long ago was it. Tango held on to what she was like when they first met, the day in the rain.. where he thought she was Grace. For awhile she was sweet and caring like his wonderful sister. Now she changed. She still looked like her but she had changed. And that almost hurt more then before. The Bengaled tom didn't know why though. Was it because she took his only way of 'seeing' his sister away? Or was it because he was moving on... from Luna herself?
He didn't know but it became annoying and frustrating! She was always following him and soon enough, she changed the picture he had of her into a crazy cat. Did he ever say anything? No, because he was scared she would leave.. and then he couldn't see his 'sister's twin' smile at him. In the night, Tango slipped away and found another she-cat. He knew it was wrong.. he knew it wasn't right, but that's what he changed into after Grace died. He craved to lure a new she-cat in and then move on. He couldn't settle. When Luna found him, he claimed it was nothing and she was to blame. He lied because he didn't want to see Grace, I mean, Luna run away. He couldn't let that happen.
Few weeks after, the Bengaled tom twitched his ear and rolled over, chilly air wrapping around him as he turned over and opened his leafy green eyes and almost screamed. There was Luna, like everyday lately, watching him sleep and staring at his face. Tango shook it off by smiling and sitting up to flex his sleepy muscles. "Good morning Luna." He purred.
