    A young sleek tabby she-cat pads into the apprentice den, exhausted. You'd think she'd be happy, had just been named a 'paw, but she had no family to share her joy, so she had no joy.

    Startled, Featherpaw looked up. "Oh, thanks!" She let out a purr, and looked for her nest, suddenly forgetting where it was.

    "It's over here," Jadepaw said with a knowing smile and flicked his tail toward an empty nest as if he had read her mind.

    She giggled, and padded over. "Hehe, thanks." Stepping into the nest, she stretched, and sat down, beginning to wash herself.

    Featherpaw settled down. "have you been an apprentice in ThunderClan long?"
