Azulkit lay in the nursery, The Black and white Tom-Cat simply plodded along outside the nursery and sat down.
Silentbreeze padded beside the nursery. her black pelt looked grayish in the sunlight.

Azulkit watched the queen, curious.
She passed the nursury and walked behind the nursery. She paddded up to three little holes that were covered in dirt. Her eyes filled with sorrow. Her three kits were just killed yesterday by greencough and were buried behind the nursey. She went up to one of the holes. "Shadowkit....Duskkit....Nightkit.." she meowed one by one. She looked up at the stars. "Let starclan light your path..." she whispered.
Azulkit twitched the tip of his tail as he watched the she-cat.
Blackclaw, Silentbreeze's mate padded over to her. "Your mourning for them?" he asked. "Yes I am sweetie," she whispered back. "They were good kits" "I KNOW they were good kits!" she hissed. Blackclaw put his head down. She looked at him. "They are our only kits! Why did Echosong have to conclude that this was the only batch of kits I was ever gonna have!" she yowled. "And to think we don't even have any kits that will look like us or smell like us like you wished-" he was quickly cut off by Silentbreeze. "I don't care anymore. I want ALIVE kits!" she yowled sobbing. Blackclaw nosed her toward the nursery. "You should get some sleep dear." he meowed. "Your right," she meowed back. "Bye," he meowed padding toward the warrior's den. "Bye" she meowed back heading to the nursery.

Azulkit felt bad for her, He felt the same. He had no parents nor anyone to take care of him, he had even taken to eating meat early because that's what he was used to.
Silentbreeze slowly padded toward her den. She pricked her ears when she heard something. She turned around and picked up Azulkit. "What are you doing out here kit?" she asked. "You should be with your mother," she meowed.

Azulkit hissed, "My mother died!" he mewed, wriggling free from her grip and dropping with a thud on the floor.
"Oh..." she mewed. "I wish there was something I could do."

Azulkit looked at his paws, mewing, "Well, i hardly need mothering... I've learned to eat meat from an early age" he murmured.
"Awwww.... you poor thing," she whispered licking his head.

Azulkit slumped down in his nest, mumbling something quietly before twitching the tip of his small tail.
Silentbreeze sadly looked at him, her eyes full of sorrow before climbing into her nest and falling asleep.
