"That has a million and one legs!" Lapin complained. At least they weren't all crooked and it wasn't so creepy. "What will poison do to you?" she asked, daring to reach out a paw, but not teaching it yet.

"Poison will make you very, very sick very fast," said Firefly. "Some bugs are poisonous, and so are some plants. If you get poisoned badly enough, you would die."
Puddle internally made the decision right then never to eat a bug.
-
"Don't touch no buggies! Wabby make them not tough da buggies!" McCamey exclaimed. She was pro-life and thought everything deserved to live. McCamey didn't even like watching her own parents eat fresh-kill, death made her sick.
-
"I think I won't eat any either," said Puddle.
"Nah, you just have to know what kinds are safe," said Firefly. "Most kinds are fine to eat. Like those," he nodded at a medium sized black beetle. "Those are pretty good."
Puddle peered at the small black beetle. Then, going on his father's advice he put it in his mouth and, with teeth just coming in, started to crunch on it. It was...weird, but not altogether bad.
-
"Jerk! Jerk!" McCamey started screaming before pouncing at her brother. In her mind he wasn't supposed to eat buggies and she wanted to make sure he knew it, by scratching him up, a lot.
-
Puddle screamed and pulled backwards, front paws flailing as he tried to force his sister off his head. He dropped to the ground kicking and screaming trying to dislodge her. "Ger'offa me!"
-
"He, he." Soledad watched as McCamey began fighting with Puddle and decided it was her moment to find a bug.
She began pushing a damp, soft old wooden plank with her nose, putting in effort until it flipped over to reveal its dank underside, several ants suddenly crawling out, carrying large off-white larvae. Her tail became bushy and her pupils dilated in excitement rather than fear. "Those good bugs daddy?" She asked, her paws twitching in want to attack.
-
Kankuro, on the other hand, was having fun alone with his spider. He looked over to see his two siblings wrestling. His grin spreaded wider, "Fight, fight, fight!" He crowed loudly. The black tom kit was all for a justle, especially if it included sibling rivalry.
--
Dotteddot looked at Firefly worriedly. This was her first time as a mother, and already the kits were fighting to what seemed like to the death. It was starting to discourage her as a new parent. -
ooc: Are they small black ants?
ic: "Yeah, those're ants, they're everywhere and that kind's safe," said Firefly. "The more bugs you eat the less they'll infest our den. Hey, you two knock it off. Mccamey, he's your brother, don't try and unscrew his head off."
Puddle, meanwhile, heard his family members' words weighing on him. He kicked at Mccamey as hard as he could, trying to reach her and grab at her. He also tried to bite one of her front paws. He wasn't going to take this without a fight!
-
Joc had pretty much ignored the squabbling of her siblings. It had already become such a bore, they did it all the time. The she-kit got to her paws, warily taking a step forward. It was wobbly at first, but with each step she felt growing confidence. It wasn't until the she-kit had wobbled over to her father, did she realize just how easily the older cats could become toys. With his tail lashing, Firefly had captured her attention. Padding forward, as quick as the little paw would carry her, Joc pounced on top of the furry tail tip.
-
Firefly lashed his tail some more, actually slowing it down to a mere swishing. Lashing his tail a while made his tail sore. "You like that eh? Catch the tail!"
-
McCamey felt all the bites and jabs by her brother, but she also was fighting back scratching and biting, too. McCamey was very fierce, but immediately turned into a big baby seeing Soledad mess with some bugs. "Stop!" McCamey yelled getting out of the fight and marching over to her sister.
-
Kankuro was batting around the spider, then he pounced. He heard a SQUISH under his paws. He lifted one black paw that was too big for his size, spider insides were all over the pads of his feet. He wrinkled his nose, "Yuck!" He exclaimed.
-
Puddle was more than glad to have his rabid sister off him. The brown striped tom glared at her, ears back, as she launched herself into an attack on Soledad. He groomed himself, particularly the little bites and scratches she'd given him. Lousy sister!
-
Soledad was lapping up the panicking ants as McCamey came over, hesitantly raising her head away from her 'meal'. "What." She dully stated, simply expressing her disdain and confusion at her sister's behaviour. She didn't feel a single pang of sorrow for the demise of the bugs she played with. The she-kit raised a forepaw and flung it towards McCamey's face, a low growl rising from her chest.
-
"Kits and adults only drink milk, not eat bugs! "McCamey objected walking over to her mother Dotteddot and starting to suckle. She wanted to show the right thing to do, since in her mind her siblings were just dumb and didn't know that suckling was right.
-
Puddle padded over to Soledad. "You okay?" He sighed. "She fighted me too."
"Mccamey, you need to chill," said Firefly, shaking his head. His daughter was becoming a bit of a behaviour problem.
-
Kankuro looked at his sister, his eyes clouded for once. His smile faded. "You no fun, Camey," he stated bluntly.
--
Dotteddot licked her daughter, "Chillax, sweetheart. You're brothers and sisters were just playing with bugs. No harm done-" She batted a near by bug to prove her point,
"-See?" -
"Sheesh, what's up with him?" Kiara asked, staring at McCamey. She'd never seen a kit fighting so fiercely for a bug. "There's a ton of them all over the place," she meowed.
"Git away, Mickeyjerk! You hurt Puddy!" Lapin snapped, slipping her paw under a bug and flinging it at McCamey. She hoped it would splatter all over his face and teach him a lesson. That would be great!
-
Puddle, his front paws sifting through the bottom of the bedding {where it was yucky} looked up in time to see Lapin flick a bug at Mccamey. He began to giggle uncontrollably. Mccamey had earned little respect from him after her vicious attack on his head--which had been beyond playing. It had hurt and taken all his counterstruggles to get her off. "Bug on her FACE!"
ooc: Okay folks, what kits aren't being played here? Most of them seem to be, but no way do we have 6 active kits. Time for rehoming if any aren't being played at all. Those kits that are slated for blindness are set to start suffering vision loss soon, too...starting with night vision, which begins to fade first.
