Brightkit awoke in a place full of stars and beautiful trees. Had she come to live in Starclan? She closed her eyes hoping to awake in the marsh. When she opened her eyes she saw Smallkit. "Thank..you...for rescuing..me." meowed Brightkit. She tried to stand up but collapsed again. "Go get Gentlefur...." mewed Brightkit as she tried to keep her eyes open.

"Okay." she mewed and then ran to Gentlefur while yowling "Gentlefur! Help! Brightkit!"

Gentlefur heard Smallkit yowling and stood up, concerned. "What's happening?"

Brightkit spotted a rabbit hole. She went limped inside to hide from Goldenkit. She found a sharp and pointy stick that she picked it up just in case Goldenkit came back.

"Brightkit... hurt...come... quickly..." she panted and led her mother to Brightkit

Brightkit started to caugh. She was becoming so cold that she kept shivering.

When Smallkit made it to Brightkit she layed beside her sister trying to warm her.

"Keep...Goldenkit...away..from...me>" meowed Brightkit giving the stick to Smallkit as she layed her head down and closed her eyes.

"What happened?" Gentlefur repeated, licking Brightkit to make her warm.

"Don't worry." she mewled "I'll protect you forever, I promise." it was an odd thing for the smaller one to say to the bigger sibling but Smallkit didn't care.

Goldenkit kept close to Gentlefur, pressing against her pelt. Purring innocently, she looked down at Brightkit and she put on her fake act. "What happened, Brightkit? Are you alright?" she cooed.

"Th-Tha-Thank-yu-you Smallkit." meowed Brightkit as she barely opened her eyes. All she wanted was to get back to the nursery and stay away from Goldenkit.

"Go away!" she yowled at Goldenkit and then leaped in front of Brightkit protectively "You know what happened!" she spat

She entered the tree hollow and started grooming Brightkit's pelt, acting innocent.

Brightkit opened her eyes and saw Goldenkit. Suddenly all her senses came back. "Get away from me you filthy piece of fox dung." hissed Brightkit as she ran out of the nursery into the elders den and hid behind an elder that was sleeping.

Smallkit followed Brightkit and mewed quietly in her ear "Let's find a special place where only we can go and Goldenkit will never find! We can go there whenever we want to get away from Goldenkit."

"Well, I know one place. There's a little hole that we can crawl into behind the elders den." mewed Brightkit as she led Smallkit into the clearing to the back f the elders den where the tunnel was. Goldenkit was too big to fit into it.

"Goldenkit," Gentlefur said sternly, "What did you do?"

"That's great." she then went into it
