" do you want some food?," darkfang asked leafpad when she got back.

" I'm okay, Leafpad." Nightstream meowed softly.

Leafpad nodded to her mate thankfully and settled down for her kits to suckle

" ok i will be right back.," darkfang meowed as he padded out of the den and came back with two voles," here you go.," he meowed as he gave them each a vole.

"Thanks."purred Leafpad

" you are welcome.," darkfang purred as he went over and laid down by his mate.

She ate and moved her tail as Frogkit and Maplekit pounced on it

" they are going to make fine warriors.," he wisphered in a purr as he licked her ear.

Nightstream looked around, aware that her mate wasn't here.

Nightstream stared at them, purring together. Nigthstream sighed. There purrfect together. she thought. I wonder where Darkgaze is? Nigthstream wondered.

" so..... how is your day today?," darkfang asked nightstream.

" Um... er, fine I guess." Nigthstream answered slowly, feeling her kits falling asleep.

" good i guess....," he meowed as he put his head beside leafpad and dozed off.

Nigthstream felt something inside her. Something that she felt before, jealousy. She was jealous that her mate wasn't with her. Nightstream shrugged and pushed the feeling away. Nightstream looked at the ground, feeling ashamed about her feeling...

darkfang woke with a start..... he remembered something he did ask before," where is darkgaze??," he asked concern in his voice.

Nigthstream was the first to answer. " I dont know Darkfang." Nigtstream sighed with a hint of sadness, in her voice.

" oh..," he meowed as he got up from where he was laying," i am going to find him be right back."
