  • "Of course." Waterskipper began to help groom the kit, as well as cleaning up some of the afterbirth. It was too soon to tell if the kit's coat would be long or short, at least, she couldn't tell. "You have a beautiful daughter..." She seemed healthy.

Orchidpaw was just stayig out of the way. With all these cats around, she knew that not only was her help not needed, but the best way to help was stay back. "Wow...I'm an aunt."

  • ooc// Last post and I'll wait for the others.
bic// Koisplash gave a grateful nod to her grandmother.Once she was done with her first born she moved onto the cream and white she-kit and then the tom kit.Once that was done she placed them down by her stomach. At hearing her sister she gave a nod."Yep! Do you think you can let aunt Mistfling know?"she asked Orchidpaw. She then looked at her kits, trying to think of what to name them. But as she stared at her son a pleased purr rolled in her throat."Stonekit, you'll be Stonekit my son."she chirped happily. But Koisplash couldn't help but wonder, what was Hailstone thinking right now?

Flyingsparks, as impatient as he was, finally just went back inside. At seeing Koisplash with four kits and Waterskipper grooming one of them, his curled ears drooped in amazement. His yellow eyes turned wide as soft laughter escaped him, ears perking back up.Happily, he raced over, going around and sat down by Koisplash's fore shoulders. He couldn't believe his eyes, these were their kits.....his kits! No way he wanted them to grow up with the suffering he had in the past.Rejection.Loneliness.No family. That was no way to grow up but it did have a positive effect on young Flyingsparks. It had made him stronger in some ways, he knew what it was like to feel like you had no purpose. But that was in the past. Now, he had friends who cared about him, a beautiful mate that understood and loved him, and finally today he now had kits of his own to love and protect.

  • "Four and five! The clan's gonna be huge!" So many kits were being born. Myrrhkit looked up to Orchidpaw. "They won't catch a cold and die, will they?" She remembered the other day it'd been snowing, really cold. And they were so small.

Kismetpaw peered over to Koisplash's litter, noting the she-kit that looked quite like her mother. She looked down to her own kits. None looked as she herself did. Yes, this was His litter. Did that mean she'd not look after them? She couldn't even think such a thing! She had to act strong, she couldn't leave the kits or her father. She'd have to stay and endure, even if it felt like there was no ground under her paws. "She's probably hungry after that, mind if you get both of us something?" She asked softly before she started licking her suckling kits. She could feel a hunger in her, one that seemed to triumph the mental block and disgust that rolled in her belly.

  • ooc: Sorry, we went to my grandparents. We drove a total of five hours today, two and a half there and two and a half back.

ic: A cream she-kit with little white tufts on her ears mewed for milk. She crawled around a little before finding ehr mother's stomach and latching on to suckle.
    -----
The small beige she-kit let out a soft purr as she went into suckling mood again. She was very content and didn't know that just a few nests away more kits had just been born.
    -----
"Wow, I'm a great-uncle," Ochrewood purred in shock not believing both these cats had just kitted. "Well both of y'all had beautiful kits. I hope your feelig alright. Lunecry, you feeling like your about to kit? It seems to be the day of kittin'."

  • "...No," said Orchidpaw. "They seem very healthy. Koisplash congrats! I'm gonna go get Auntie Mistfling!" She dashed out the exit.

"Well Koi, you took that birthing like a champ," purred Waterskipper as she helped with the cleanup. "A full litter here and you've got pep to spare. You're going to be a great mother...you already are. Flyingsparks, congratulations...you're a father." Tears glistened in her eyes.

"...I'm close but not...no, not yet." Lunecry was laughing with tears of joy. She leaned against her mate gently.

  • "None for me thank you.I'm more tired then hungry.I was eating with Flyingsparks just outside the nursery when it started."sighed Koisplash as she laid her head down. She'd let her mate name the rest. But she couldn't help but chuckle at Ochrewood's words.

Flyingsparks could see his mate was tired. But luckily they had talked it over on what to name their kits. Each of the names they had picked were bi-gendered, meaning it would go well for a girl or a boy.The young american curl looked at his nameless daughters. At looking at the white and cream she-kit a smile spread on his face."Cranekit for her and lets see now,"he mewed pointing to the cream and white kitten. He then looked at the first born."I'll name her Serpentkit."he then laid his eyes on the last one.
    "Gratitudekit for her."they meowed together.

Koisplash gave a fond purr."Those are fit them nicely. What do you guys think?"she meowed.
    [hr]
Gladekit gave a yawn and curled up tight, sucking on her paw cutely as she fell fast asleep.

  • "They're wonderful names...just the sort I'd give them myself," said Waterskipper.

"I agree. Wow, this is like...a real baby boom in here all of a sudden. Starclan picked such a strange time to bless us," said Lunecry.

  • "Thanks grandma and aunty."she purred.Koisplash then waved her tail goodbye to her mate as h e left for hunting duty. The calico queen then could not help but laugh."It would seem StarClan has a sense of humor.I wonder what mommy's thinking up there."

  • "She's proud of you," said Waterskipper. I know my baby girl. She loved you so much while she was here. That love never goes away, not even after death. She couldn't be more proud of how you've handled this...always with the same positive attitude and face full of sunshine that you have always had."

  • Mistfling was getting used to Windclan camp again. She poked her head in the nursery, "Um, I ended up the apprentices den last time, is this the nursery, or the warriors den?" Well, sort of. She knew she wasn't in the elder's den, because then she would be going in a circle! But then the scent of milk wafted into her nose, "Yeah, it's the nursery all right," she purred.

"How's my niece and momma?" It was more of an affectionate tease then a question, "I hope I didn't miss Koi's kittin'!"

  • "Aunt Mistfling!" Orchidpaw giggled. "I was just going to get you. Koisplash had her kits! They're all healthy and there's five of them. They're all multicoloured! Koisplash is doing great..." She was still talking in an animated fashion as she re-entered the nursery, close beside her aunt.

  • Thrushclaw settled nearby Kismetpaw, finding that he'd be around for awhile. He couldn't take his eyes off the five kits before him. Nothing wrong with them, perfect.

"Nice names." Kismetpaw nodded lightly, looking to the three kits that had yet to be named. Compasskit, what a name! She wondered if that was how Thrushclaw felt, that he was finding his way again? Kismetpaw licked her paw, drawing it over her face as more tears came. "I'll name this guy Jackalkit and this guy Aloeverakit." She meowed, pointing to the chocolate kit and then the cream tom, her voice soft, not wanting to interupt the family moment. Afterwards she laid back to rest. Kismetpaw found herself leaning on her father's shoulder. She jerked back up, settling for her paws. There was one more to name, the she-kit beige one.

  • Ochrewood sat layed down on his side gazing off into the distance. "I'll make sure that I hunt and these kits won't starve especially if I'm related to them or closely intertwined with them, if I can help it there will be no deaths this leaf-bare." Ochrewood purred.
    -----
The smalle biege she-kit lay there sleeping not knowing her mother was having trouble on picking a name for her.
    -----
Cranekit let out a little squeal before suckling at Koisplash's side. She climbed up on top of part of Koisplash's belly and fell asleep only to slide down and land head first which made her start squealing wildly.

  • Lunecry purred. "I know you'll do your best...I don't see why I can't do some hunting too once the kits are born, after the first half moon or so. I did it with my first litter."

  • "Oh, Cranekit, you're ok."cued Koisplash as she rasped her tongue over her daughter's head.Gingerly she grabbed Cranekit by the scruff and placed her back down beside Stonekit. At hearing her aunt she raised her head, amber eyes wide with excitement but at the same time she knew her grandmother was right.Someday Hailstone would see each of them again when their own times came. But right now she was excited to see her aunt, Mistfling."Yeah I had them. And it is four kits Orchidpaw, not five you silly girl."purred Koisplash.

Stonekit gave a annoyed squeal at being disturbed.By now it was clear his fur was long and fluffy with a solid bluish grey color.

Gladekit gave a chirp as she awoke, happily latching once more to suckle. Her tail waved about in a mischievous manner.

  • Mistfling purred, stepping a little closer. It was hard to find their scents with all the other heavy milk scents in the nursery unless she concentrated. She was depending on their voices. "Tell me what they look like," she whispered excitedly. This reminded her so much of Hailstone's kitting, man, this took her back.

'Another kit!' She remembered Hailstone gasping, 'Oh Mistfling, this one looks like you!'

  • "Nope, just four Orchidpaw."purred Koisplash. At hearing her aunt, Mistfling she gave pleased purr."Of course.I had three daughters and one son.My son is a fluffy blue-grey and I named him Stonekit in memory of mom,Serpentkit looks like me---a calico---but has long fur, Cranekit is a cream tabby with white tipped ears, and lastly there is Gratitudekit who is a cream tabby and she's the smallest of the four." "Stonekit has Flyingsparks' built and is the biggest in the litter seems.Little Cranekit is showing to be quite the adventurous one."purred Koisplash.

  • Steelhawk padded into the den, from his jaws swinging a struggling Gravelkit. The small gray tom cried in protest.

"LEt me go, you great lump!"

The dark gray tabby dropped the kit at Waterskipper's paws. "Waterskipper, this is your kit right?" he asked.

Gravelkit closed his eyes. All of 'dark forest' was about to break loose!
