Fernflare frowned, knowing she'd upset Ace. She raced after him, trying to trace his scent. "Wait, Ace, I'm sorry." She called. "I'll...I'll see what I can do. I'll see if one of the queens can do something to help the pup."

"Really!?" Ace mewed happily,nuzzling the she-cat. He blinked and sighed.

Fernflare blinked her aqau eyes in surprise as Ace nuzzled her, then looked at him as he sighed. "What's the matter?" She asked.

"No, it's a sigh of relief." Ace mewed, looking at Fernflare again,relief shining in his eyes.

"Oh, alright." Fernflare mewed. She looked at the fox cub. "Does he have a name?"

"I named him Picho." Ace smiled.

The tabby she-cat nodded. "That's a nice name." Fernflare mewed. She looked from the fox to Ace. "Like I said, I'll see if I can get one of the queens to nurse him. But what will happen to him if they refuse?" Fernflare asked, genuine concern in her vivid eyes.

Well, I'll take care of him." Ace sighed and looked down. "Well, that's just an if." He continued,brightening up.

Fernflare nodded. "How much longer will he need to be on milk?" She murmured.

"Probably for 3 more moons." Ace shrugged.

"Alright." Fernflare meowed. "So...How's your sister doing? Lily?" Fernflare meowed, remembering Ace's sister's name.

"Oh she's fine! Except her kits are big trouble makers." Ace smiled.

Fernflare purred in amusement. "I'll bet." She meowed.

Hazel was gone away for good.

Ace smiled and nodded. "I've always wanted to raise my own family and kits. But I travel alot, I'll be leaving this afternoon." He mewed sadly.
