Swearing?

    Is using bad words allowed?? Someone in one of my RP's used some bad language and I reported it, then was told it wasn't against the rules. Something doesn't seem right? It made me uncomfortable and I believe the player has gotten in trouble before for swearing.

    It is not permitted. However, we don't censor the more mild coarse words. Only actual vulgar ones. Now, if anyone is using them to insult someone, that is never allowed no matter what.

    They were using them during a role play situation and then using one in an out of chat situation but only using one letter....

    It depends on what bad words they were using. :) The word filter picks up on words that are not allowed and censors them, so if the words you were offended by were left uncensored than they're allowed to be left as is :)

    In roleplay I believe we allow swearing - as long as it's not over the top, and some people do prefer to censor it. If it's something insanely over the top, though, even in roleplay, it should be reported.

    Yes, in roleplaying - as long as its in character, some minor little swear words are allowed. ;) Major ones still need to be starred out, but minor swears are allowed. However, any swears at all - major or minor, starred or unstarred, directed at another person out of character is never okay and should be promptly reported.

    Oh, if it was in Dawnclan, that was me. It wrote S*** but with stars, I wasn't pointing it to someone, It was sarcastic. Sorry for the confusion Blacksoul.

    i swear all the time at home but online you could be suspended or band from an rpg site so report rude words right away!

    In Roleplaying, it's alright to swear as long as it doesn't go way overboard or if it's overboard, it's starred. But if a random user, for example, typed "You @#$%!" [let's just say, the said user typed a cuss w/o censoring] and it's aimed towards another user [or you], that's already a rule break, I think...
