Redcloud nodded in reply as they arrived at the clearing. "Alright," he said, looking down at his apprentice. "Can you copy these moves?" He spun in the air and lashed out his hind legs in front of Frostpaw, missing his chest by a kittenstep.
Frostpaw twitched his ears and nodded briskly, copying the move.
"Hmm... Your posture is a bit off. Try to keep a little higher off the ground, or all you'll hit is grass and dirt. Try it again."
Loudspirit stepped up. "Try it on me. Maybe it will help if you have guidelines to practice with."
"Hello," Shallowpool replied, glancing at Shadowspark over her shoulder. "I'm just off to gather a few herbs."

he looked at shadowspark

Frostpaw concetrated on Loudspirit for a moment, then tried again. His movent shook somewhat clumsily, but his aim never wavered. He sent the warrior's hindpaws flailing until she fell to the ground. "How was that?" he asked, gazing at the two warriors.
Redcloud and Loudspirit exchanged a glance and smiled. "Good," Redcloud said, licking his forepaw. "You're a quick learner. A good quality in any cat."
Loudspirit nodded in agreement and got to her paws, shaking sand in dust out of her long, black and white pelt.
Shallowpool dipped her head thankfully and began to claw the roots from the ground. She dug up two catmint plants. She narrowed her eyes and saw a dock bush in the distance and trotted over to it. As she began to pick the leaves, she noticed an odd feeling of burning eyes. She turned around briskly but saw nothing there, so she picked another leaf. Just then, she heard the faintest, tiniest rustle in the trees, and then the forest grew eerily silent. She stared into the source of the noise, and suddenly, there was a loud low growl as a massive canine leaped from its cover.

rushstar walked to the fresh kill pile
-
Shateredsky lunged at the dog
-
Shallowpool stared at it in fear. It was unlike any dog she'd seen; it was huge with pointed ears and a fluffy tail. A wolf! She yowled and leaped at its paw, but it flicked it awaay with a slight flick of its wrist. She shrieked as she fell to the ground and heard bones crack underneath her.

rushstar grabbed a vole to eat

Shadowspark yowled angrily

he took three bites

Shallowpool got to her paws, wobbling. Her vision was blurred and spinning slightly, and she could feel blood leak from her mouth.
-
he finished and decided to take a nap
-
Shallowpool instantly knew she had broken her jaw. Intinctively, she called out, "I need comfrey!" but it was barely audible and her speech was slurred. She choked on her own blood and fell to the ground. She screamed as the pain shot through her face again and soon, a pile of blood was gathering on the grass.

He dreamed of a wolf attacking his clanmates

Shadowspark bit the wolfs paw
-
Shallowpool shuddered at the pain and twitched. She heaved herself to her paws eventually, but the weight of her own body almost made her collapse with the effort. The medicine cat crawled weakly away, leaving a trail of fresh blood behind her that sent the wolf's head shooting up with a furious snarl. It's eyes had gone wild, wide and filled with hatred as he fought Shadowspark for Shallowpool. The medicine cat yelped in fear and carried on as swiftly as she could and made her way to the stream that connected the borders between FogClan and ShardClan. She dipped her face in expecting relief, but a sudden sting shot through her jaw and she yowled, jaw still in the water as she got off the blood. She really needed someone to give her comfrey- if she chewed it herself it might result in further injury. As soon as the wound in her mouth was sealed enough, she ran back to camp with her jaw tipped awkwardly to the side. "Wolf!" was all she managed to say to warn them before she half-collapsed again. She blinked drowsily and crawled half-heartedly to her den, falliing asleep in the patient's bedding.

His head shot up "my dream" he gasped and ran out
