    "I'm Zealkit." mewed Zealkit, looking up at Lunecry before sniffing in the fresh-kill pile and picking out a small mouse.
    "My brother, Sinkit, and me are 6 moons and ready to become apprentices," she meowed before sit down "But I'm not sure if I'll ever get to be a warrior 'cause of my blindness," she paused to take a bite of her mouse "I would love to be a med cat apprentice, but seeing as we already have one I guess that won't happen..."
    She sighed before continuing to eat her mouse.

    "Hi Zealkit, I'm Acekit." The seal point kit mewed, but he was staring at Bridgekit, something his cousin wouldn't even be able to tell he was doing any more. A pit of sadness was forming in his stomach.

    "Hello Acekit," Zealkit mewed, she could smell another cat was here but obviously couldn't put a face to the smell "Who else is here?"
    She finished up the last bit of mouse and sat up.

    "I think that blind cats retire to the elder's den, although I have no problem with you staying in the nursery with me and my family if you'd rather," said Lunecry. "My sister Mistfling lives in the elder den though, she's really nice...she's blind too."

    Splotchkit got up and saw that the others were still there and walked over to them. "Hello Zealkit, mom may I have the last rabbit even, though the elder's look like they haven't eaten in days?" Splotchkit asked. She was hungry and didn't wait for an answer. Quickly she picked up the rabbit and started eating.

    Acekit whipped his tail lightly against his sister. "Silly. Why don't you go ask if they want any?" he mewed, a kind of exasperation in his voice at his sister's actions. "Sorry about her." he mewed to Zealkit.

    "What do you mean they look like they haven't eaten in days?" Lunecry glanced back toward the elders' den. Her own sister lived there and had looked fine the last time she'd seen her.


    "Mistfling was just out in the moors with me and Koipaw yesterday," said Orchidkit. The black kit shrugged. "She's normal looking fatwise."

    Zealkit hadn't minded the idea of staying in the elders den or nursery but she didn't really want to just stay at camp and do nothing all day.
    She rembered having a convesation with her brother about him trying to teach her the moves he learnt in training when he became an apperntice but adapt them to her blindness.
    "Hey," she mewed "do you think my brother would be allowed to teach me some of the moves he learns when he becomes an apprentice, cause he said he would if he was allowed."

    "I-I'm Shyspirit."mewed the brown tabby in her normal manner towards Zealkit.


    Then, out of the apprentice den a young calico she-cat came out.Her amber eyes were bright but were dulled a bit by mild pain and she still looked warn out.It was Koipaw, the adoptive daughter of Hailstone and Cricketstride---the eldest in fact.But by the look on Koipaw's face she was day dreaming about her crush again.But she quickly snapped back to reality at the sight of her adoptive kin.

    ooc: I couldn't have Orchidkit join Koi's thread--she's in here and is distressed by her brother having gone blind. :P


    ic: "Koipaw! how are you?" Orchidkit bounded over to her and greeted her with nose to nose rubs, tilting her head up a bit to do so. The size difference between the two of them however was not as large as it had once been. Orchidkit was pretty average in size but as she and Koipaw both got older the differences had begun to lessen. "You okay? You still look kind of tired. Bridgekit's gone all the way blind."

    "Yeah. But it doesn't matter Orchidkit. She wouldn't care about her non-family anymore." Acekit mewed coldly, turning away from Koipaw as she had neared them. He didn't want to speak to her.

    Bridgekit nodded to Zealkit, thinking at first that she could see just fine. As the conversation continued he learned that the she-kit was in the same position as he was. It would be nice, having a kit in the same Clan being blind. "I'm Bridgekit, nice to meet you," he meowed politely towards Zealkit, not wanting to appear rude. "Maybe we could practice training together, and teach each other things." His mind wandered to Bryonykit. Would she have someone in her Clan? He remembered how she seemed so lonely when he had met her. His paws itched to return to the RiverClan border and meet the she-kit once again.


    At the sound of his cousin's distressed voice, the grey and white tom took a few uncertain steps towards Acekit's scent. He rubbed against his cousin's seal point fur. "Do you want to talk? Your acting so up tight lately," he asked, his voice purely matter of fact.


    ((OOC: I'm going to be gone for around three days, so if I don't reply that is why.))

    "Oh, sore and still a bit tired.But I'm fine other then that."mewed Koipaw as she swatted Orchidkit's ear before flopping down onto her belly.The calico she-cat tucked her paws under her chest then tenderly licking her chest fur.Koipaw then shot a soul piercing leer at Acekit.Not once had Koipaw shown her temper or look at her kin this way."Oh really now Acekit.Why don't we stick through all the expriences I went through.Like loosing your father, being kidnapped, loosing your mother to a fire, living in fear, loosing your sibling to a beast, oh and let not forget the ever so popular starving to death!"spat Koipaw as she fluffed out her tail."Don't get cocky or smug with me----EVER!My kit hood was a living nightmare for a huge chunk of it so don't go saying I don't care!"she growled.But Koipaw quickly calmed herself down, ears laying flat as her pupils turned to mere slits.This, in reality was the first time she had been so angry.Other times it had been only annoyance or fear.It felt strange experiencing this feeling."S-sorry, I didn't mean to get angry.I just lost my cool aunt Lunecry."she stuttered to the queen.


    Shyspirit flinched at the intensity of the apprentice's gaze when Koipaw became angry.But the tabby warrior was always a shy, timid thing and tended to frighten easily when not in battle.But she gingerly looked closer at the amber eyes.Sympathy shined in Shyspirit's yellow eyes as she saw a different emotion mixed with anger in Koipaw's eyes----mental pain, pain of a wounded soul.As she listened to the apprentice she felt bad for Koipaw.No cat during their kit hood should have gone through so much suffering.It was no wonder the poor girl was struggling.But she had to admit, Koipaw had courage beyond belief for hiding her suffering with a smile to comfort her loved ones.She really is true to her name.She's a good fortune to these kits, Cricketstride, and Lunecry.But most of all Orchidkit.This apprentice cares more about her adoptive family and her birth clan then her own well being. thought Shyspirit.

    ic: "Please just stop fighting, please,' said Orchidkit. "Acekit i'm sorry I yelled."


    "We all need a little down time I think,' said Lunecry. "Koipaw. Do you have any close friends at this time? Someone...well, you can talk to who isn't one of your love interests? I think it would help you a lot if you don't have anyone to just come to me or Mistfling or even Grandma. Or your siblings." Those of them who didn't hate her...

    "I know about your stinkish past! Could you move-" he broke off as he yelled onto of her, and with everything hanging over his head he turned and felt tears leaking down his face. The seal point pushed his kit head into Bridgekit's shoulder, the comfort of his cousin also smothering his cries, though he was sure his body shook. Koipaw hadn't addressed the issue of why he was mad; did they not count as family to her?

    "Stop fighting, we all know about Koipaw being adopted, bt that doesn't matter we are still family and I love you all. I hope we can all live the best of our lives and be together, even Koipaw likes smelly Raccoonpaw."Splotchkit mewed.

    "It's nice to meet you too Bridgekit," purred Zealkit "And I would really enjoy training with you!"
    She paused before continuing to speak "I could help you with finding your way around places, seeing as I was born blind I got used to it so maybe I could help you too."

    "What is so wrong with her getting older and having a boyfriend?" said Orchidkit who from the start had just not seen why it was such a big deal. Everyone knew apprentices started getting girlfriends and boyfriends. It was how the world worked! "It just means our family's getting bigger."
