  • The teen had been a sipping a glass of refreshing water in a little, corner-table hidden by the shadows. He wasn’t one for drinking-always alert, ready to knife an assassin out to end his miserable life. He had been slightly amused by the commotion between girls and dealers. He smirked, the closest he ever got to a smile. The scum bags, he thought, referring to the men who paid others to do their dirty work. The boy was a strong believer in, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
He finished his drink, tossed a coin to the bar tender, and followed the girls outside, standing under the door frame: arms crossed, accompanied with a nonchalant posture. “Hey, nice ride,” he remarked, nodding towards the blue-eyed girl’s Harley Davidson.

  • Vira turned her head slightly to glare at the man. He thought he had been in the shadows, but she had seen him. She always made note of everyone in the bar and she always sized up their battle prowess. She figured he would be an easy one to handle if this got violent. She immediately distrusted this guy. Why would he follow two girls out otherwise? She'd watch him for now. "This is none of your business, get gone leech."

  • "I was talkin' to the other one, lady. You got no business bossing me around. You have no idea who I am or what trouble you could get your pretty little self into if you insulted me. Watch who yer callin' leech." He spit on the ground, right next to Vira's feet. She's a tough one, she is, he thought privately. But I could take her on any day. He moved from his slouched, nonchalant posture to his full, impressive six feet, three inches and scowled. He stood a a grand total of four inches above his potential adversary. That should scare her off, the teen smirked to himself. Creeps any other norm, but if it don't... well.He patted the blue-tinted sword at his side that shone brilliantly in the full moon, making the already-large weapon seem very formidable.

  • "I've defeated bigger.. and worse," Vira said noticing as how he was trying to appear intimidating. She sneered and shrugged. "Whatever. Your still a leech. Also don't call me pretty, or any form of that nonsense." She turned back to the other girl. "You probably should ignore this one. He's a leech." The black-haired girl made sure he saw the long katana on her back. She too was a sword user, she had felled many with that blade, and she made sure it was always as sharp as it could be.

  • "Nah, nah, nah," taunted the teen, making chatter motions with his right hand. This one's feisty, he decided. I like it "What's your name pretty lady?" The boy sneered when he mentioned the "forbidden" word. "I bet pretty lady doesn't have a name worth mentioning. I bet pretty lady's just a bum, scrounging around for money and food, drinking until her head's all clogged and fuzzy." He continued to taunt her, drawing his thick-bladed sword from its hilt. The prized weapon reflected the moon light as it was swung around in dizzying circles.

  • "I swear... If you say that one more time I'll sever your head," She snarled, her eyes glinting anger, and her fists clenching. She wasn't pretty, she was dangerous. "I'm not telling my name to a leech like you. And for your information, my head never gets fuzzy. I can hold all it down thank you very much. Now your ticking me off.. If you don't quit it might get messy out here." She hated guys like this. This wasn't the first time she was so brazenly hit on by guys who thought her 'tough girl' act was hot. They quit thinking that way real fast after she was done with them.

  • The boy snarled and stopped his easy-going swings. He crouched: fighting position, ready to attack. "You askin' for a fight?" he barked. "Then give it to me!" He lunged at her. The boy was no amateur. His swings were perfectly timed and his moves executed with precision.

  • "Aha! Attacking me after saying such things? The flattery!" Vira chimed sarcastically. The girl knew his swings were true - and on target and basically undodgeable. However, in her mind's eye she saw the attacks coming long before he even executed them. Her agile body moved like blades of grass. She was impossible to hit.

  • The boy swore the worst swear word he knew, knowing he could not hit the lady unless it was her wish, and of course it wasn't. She must have a sixth sense or something, panicked the teen, swinging wildly, forced to execute his grandest moves. Only rarely did he perform these fierce swings and forgotten techniques, proving this woman was a worthy opponent. He let out a mighty roar that upset the customers inside the bar, but they were too frightened to come out. His anger out and frustration under control, he stopped swinging and held out his hand. "Name's Ike," he introduced. "You are a worthy opponent. I hope we meet again soon." He sheathed his sword and walked away, disappearing into a dark ally.

  • Vira's mind returned to normal, the intensity of battle always heightened her mind and senses. She watched as the man walked away. She didn't know what to think about that. Normally the battle got so far along that the people regretted a few days later their encounter with her. She hadn't ever really seen anyone stop and walk away. Vaguely she guessed she respected it. "Mine's Vira," she said. She didn't know what possessed her to tell him her name. She never told it to anyone.

  • Abby had seen everything from an alley way. She was impressed with them. Abby looked around and steppped out of the alley, afraid that the gang she had encountered last week, the only thing left of that encounter was a destroyed car that had been the last the gang owned. It wasn't that she couldn't hold her own in a fight, it was that she was afraid of loosing it in a fight and blowing them up along with many of the buildings. Abby walked through the alley ways, seeking the quickest way out of the city and back to the woods and avoiding most of the taverns, fearing that her flames would blow them up. She was just passing an alley when she heard shouts from behind her. "Hey! It's the fire user that destroyed our last car! Let's get her!!! Oh confound it all... Abby thought as she cursed at being spotted. She put her groceries down and turned to the gang members, who were running at her with weapons and various tools they were using as weapons. "You should have come and got me before I got more gasoline!!!" Abby yelled as she flicked open her trusty lighter and lit it and, with a roar, a huge jet of flame was sent at the gang, throwing them back and scorching the road before them. Abby looked at the devastation she had caused, slipped her lighter up her sleeve and continued down the street.

  • "Ah!" Vira hissed as the whole area shook. "An explosion?!" she hissed in surprise. She looked the way she had heard it and saw smoke billowing and a red glow. A fire? No, a fight. She wondered if she should get involved, probably not, but curiosity prevailed and she ran to see what was happening.

  • Abby was just finishing setting the gang's headquarters on fire. "All done." said Abby, brushing her hands off and putting her lighter back into the holster she had made for it on the inside of her right wrist. She turned around and started walking away.

  • Ike continued down the ally. Vira. He rolled it around in his mind, repeating it over and over again. Sounded like an okay name. Suddenly, he heard a large explosion that had shook the earth and decided to investigate. As he grew closer to the source, he felt tremendously hot and surveyed skeletons of burned items. Whoever caused this mess is strong, he thought. Watch out. He drew his sword from its scabbard.
When Ike approached the site, he saw the running form of Vira. We meet again. Sooner then I expected. He picked up his pace to match the one of the newly acquainted frontrunner. "We meet again," he said, breathing hard. "I see you like explosions too?"

  • Vira glanced behind her. Although nothing ever took her by surprise, she still didn't think she'd ever see Ike again. She didn't bother to answer his question, instead she ran up to the source of the explosion. A female stood in the midst of fire and ashes. Glaring she replied, "You don't just blow the place sky-high because you want to! Theres a certain order of things."

  • Abby looked over as she was extinguishing the left over flames. "Sorry. I lost it a little. These guys were coming at me so I acted without thinking and used more power then I should have." said Abby.

  • Ike had rolled his eyes at Vira's disapproval. Personally, he liked to blow things up: happened at least once every day with him and the gang.
"What gang?" he asked, wondering if he should declare war on a potential threat. "Sweet power by the way," complimented Ike. What was with him today? Was he sick? Ike had given, like, two compliments to complete strangers : the most he had done in many, many years!

  • "No you idiots! You don't get it!" Vira hissed, throwing her arms up in exasperation. "There's a reason we leave this gang alone for the most part! They're protected by The Full Moon Gang!" she said, pointing to a sign that was only slightly burning. The sign had a moon on it with a sword going through the middle of the moon. "The Full Moon occupy a few cities near here. If you mess with their allies like... like this!" she said flinging her arms around at the destruction. "They are going to send out reinforcements to avenge so to speak! There's a reason why the Full Moon occupy several cities and why other gangs are allied to them, due to their incredible strength! Idiots! Who doesn't know this? Augh!"

  • "Hey. I've been living in the woods for years and I only come into the city when I need to buy more gas for my lighter. Beside's they started it. They shouldn't have gone up against me." said Abby, getting a headache from the sudden use of her power after so many years. "Thanks for the compliment." said Abby. "I can only control the flames. I can't create them." she said.

  • "Yes.. When they mess with you, you beat them up! You don't destroy their entire base! Not when they are protected by a stronger gang!" Vira shouted. "Right mess this is now! I'm going to have to leave this city and I had rather liked it." She turned on her heels, "Well later. This isn't my problem. We might have doomed this little city... You may have doomed it. But, oh well, I'll find another tavern somewhere."
