"Hey." Jake said quickly. "About that bear thing, I found the bear. Problem is, its dead. It's bones are broken and there are a lot of bloody scratches on it." He lowered his voice. "Do you know about any other ... creatures living in this area?"

Jake frowned. There was something really wrong about this. "Tell me when Rose wakes up, 'kay?" he said to Thomas. "I'll do some more investigating."

Thomas shut the door then sat down on the couch.

Rose's yees opened. They shifted side to side. She had over heard what Jake had said about the bear. She swallowed.

Rose sat up, grimicing a little and making sure not to look at her leg. She thought for a moment. She hadn't seen her brother since the attack. Acctually, he wasn't there when the bear attacked at all. She thought. Is he still alive?
