A Fresh Start [Open]

Neon looked up at her mother and wove between her paws where she finally sat down with her head poking out, the cold had finally gotten to her. "Mommy, I am cold." She said, her face turned up to her mother's chin.

Neon purred. The sound was a deep rumbeling that shook her chest with its strenght, viberating the ground lightly. The soft feel of her mother's fur against her own soon showered her in warmth. She smiled and turned her eyes on Dawnstar.

DawnStar:"If you have decided to come along then follow me, the camp isn't to far." She began to pad away towards her camp.

Scarlet tilted her head and followed silently, watching the cats carefully.
She smiled as she saw the parents of the kits, but it soon faded as she could not remember her own.

DawnStar noticed Scarlet for the first time She flicked her tail beconing her, still making her way to her camp, "You there, who are you? You don't seem to be with them."

The young she-cats eyes widen and she padded forward, not wanting to alarm any cat. Ears flattened and tail dragging, she whispered, "I am not with them... My name is Scarlet... I live in that old badger set over there." She pointed toward it with her tail.

DawnStar:"Hello scarlet I am DawnStar, Are you on your own?" she meowed calmly, looking over at the she-cat.

She nodded slowly, not feeling very welcome, but she did not allow her expression to show it. She muttered, "I was separated from my parents... They went hunting and never returned."

DawnStar:"Hmm... Well you are welcome to join my clan if you wish." Up ahead the clocktower was coming into view, "We are almost there, my clan lives in that clocktower up ahead, it is nice and warm inside, the clocktower was abandon by the two-legs years ago." She called out to the others.

Scarlet shuttered but put on a smile. A clan! Her pelt was hot with joy. Her tail shot up and she pranced at Dawnstars side.

IC: DawnStar:"Who knows, when we get there I could even be your mentor." As she had finished what she was saying they had made it to the enterance of the clocktower, she nodded to the cats guarding the enterance.

She turned to the other six cats following her, "You can all share a den together, I will escort you to it." She walked over to an a extra den in the nursery area, "Here you can stay, feel free to help your selfs to the freshkill pile near the enterance."

Scarlet purred and kept pace with Dawnstar. She had never thought of having a Mentor. She smiled, her pelt bristled with excitement.

DawnStar:"Scarlet you can sleep in the apprentices den on the 4th floor or if you feel uncomfortable being around so many others right now you can have a den up on the floor that my deputy and I sleep on it is on the sixth floor, I will escort you to the den that you choose."

Her mind spinning with all sorts of ideas, she purred, "I would like to get to know some other cats my age... So I guess I'll take the 4th floor."

DawnStar:"Okay then follow me." She began walking to the third floor, "We currently have four apprentices, HollowPaw, SilverPaw, SilkPaw and RussetPaw." They had now reached the 4th floor and had attracted much attention, "Here it is the apprentices den."

RussetPaw padded up to DawnStar and Scarlet,
RussetPaw:"Is it true DawnStar, are their cats coming to stay with us!"
DawnStar:" Yes as a matter of fact the one next to me right now is willing to join our clan as an apprentice."
RussetPaw looked over to the she-cat standing next to DawnStar, "Oh sorry! I Didn't notice you their, I was so exicted." he blushed embaressed that he did not notice the she-cat.
RussetPaw:"I am RussetPaw by the way, who are you?"

She purred, amused by this tom, "Scarlet. It is nice to meet you Russetpaw."

DawnStar smiled, "I can see you two will get along nicely, I have got to go now see you later."
RussetPaw looked up no longer embarassed, "Bye DawnStar!"

He turned to Scarlet, "I'm the medicine cat's apprentice, that means I take care of my clan members when they are sick or injured, your going to be a warrior apprentice right who's going to be your mentor?" he asked unable to control his excitment.

Scarlet giggled and meowed, "Hopefully Dawnstar." She could tell this kit was overwhelmed with excitement. She licked his ears, "Calm down..."
