  • Okay, so here's the deal: I have a cat named Falling-leaf who is plagued by an autoimmune disorder called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE; not sure if what it's called is really important, but anyway...). His mother had it also, and I've read on a few sites that it -may- have a genetic disposition, so I've been going with this. But now I'm starting to wonder...if he ever has kits, what would I assume genetically? That they have a chance of having it? And any idea on whether I should treat it as dominant or recessive if so? I mainly ask this because he has a sister who doesn't suffer from the disorder and I'm trying to decide whether she should be able to pass it on to her kits or not (which wouldn't be possible if I treated it like it was dominant).

    Any ideas? :)
