Its fun, yet iritating because the things you think are easy turn out to be SO HARD!!
-

Ready to get that blue badge!! 8)
-
It will be awhile for me sense I don't know enough yet, but I hope you get the blue Badge!
-
I have a question about one of the practices in this thread. In the;
Blue classic tabby x cinnamon ticked tabby
Brown ticked tabby, blue ticked tabby, cinnamon ticked tabby, fawn ticked tabby.I don't understand where the Brown Ticked tabby came from o_o I understand that it has the ticked tabbing because the ticked tabbing is dominate to the classic, but I don't understand where the brown itself came from in a Blue x Cinnamon pair. If someone could please explain, I'd be really grateful. xD

Brown is the Tabby equivalent of Black, which is therefore a dilution of Blue ^^ -
Oh, thank you for explaining.
Makes more sense now. x3 -
I'm a little rusty, haven't practiced for about 6 months. Nice to help someone else learning, though!
-
Me Again D:
On this example;
-Blue with white x cinnamon spotted tabby with white
-black, blue, cinnamon, fawn, brown tabby, blue tabby, cinnamon tabby, fawn tabby, brown spotted tabby, blue spotted tabby, cinnamon spotted tabby, fawn spotted tabby, any of those with white, or white with any of those.I don't understand why there isn't any mackerel tabbies. I though when you had spotted tabbies, you'd always have the possibility of getting mackerel tabby offspring? Also, when it says plain 'Tabby' which tabby type is it referring too? I probably sound like a fail xD But I'm super curious about it so I wanted to learn. x3

Probably Classic Tabby ^^ -
Oh, Weird. I was thinking Classic, but I thought it wouldn't show up because I figured Spotted tabby would be dominate to it. But, I only really started training myself today, I don't know much yet. xD

Tracking<3 I really gonna need sme help when learning genetics! =3
-
I know some genetics, but I'm still new to it.
-
I like learning them ^^
could someone explain to me the Browning Gene (Caramels, Apricots etc)
-
Hi, is it OK if I jump in here with a question?
For hairless cats, should I assume they are genetically brown tabbies, with the color being masked by the hairlessness, like you would for a white or red cat?Also,
Also, when it says plain 'Tabby' which tabby type is it referring too? I probably sound like a fail xD But I'm super curious about it so I wanted to learn. x3
To add my $0.02: Mackerel tabby seems to be more common than classic, at least in the US. So if it's not given, maybe assume mackerel, since that's probably what the other person is imagining, since that's the kind of tabby they've seen more? -
If it just says tabby then it is like this.
A=Unknown tabby
a=soild or no tabbying.Thats what I would do.
-
I havent seen many classic tabbys.. Ive mostly only seen Ticked...
I agree with Wings of Change though
