    District

    ●\\Appearance//●
Gelid is a largely built tom with a powerful, lithe structure, which lets him stand taller than most cats he confronts. His nimble legs are longer than most, and allow him to move in an elegant fashion; though, it leaves him looking slightly weak or frail of body according to others. Despite this, the young tom should not be underestimated, as he moves with surprisingly graceful deadliness for what would appear to be a gangly bone structure. The lithe tom's slight set muscles ripple lightly from under his thin layer of rich, beige tabby-striped fur, making him quite powerful in both appearance and action. His ears are large, even for a tom of his breed, and look pointed at the tips; set quite close together atop his head. His claws are abnormally larger than other cat's, and stand out a bold black against his stripped pelt, ideal for gripping the ground for support and balance. There are markings of white on the young tom's paws and muzzle, and the same gentle shade framing each of his eyes; though his lengthy tail is by far his most striking feature; long and rippling in appearance, and usually dancing behind him as he weaves in battle. Though, whatever beauty may have been in his pelt previously is ruined by a hideously large scar that leaves most of his left side bare and aching. The scar stretches from his neck down past his stomach, leaving his hind left leg to be slightly-dragged across the ground in a slightly lopping pace; though as moons passed, his leg became stronger and more efficient. Though, it left the graceful tom as a poor hunter, and restricted him from climbing or swimming. His eyes are quite large, and almond shaped; a cold, distant blue in color. Though his expression usually takes on a stoic taint, his eyes are clouded with wisdom beyond his years.

    ●\\Personality//●
Stoic and serious. Gelid is wise beyond his years, and will not be pushed into doing anything that seems "unsuitably idiotic" as he calls it. He's the type of tom that takes most things calmly in his stride, and almost never fails to impress when he feels the need to actually try. Although the tom is not overly aggressive, he does tend to have a much more violent or irritable view on life, and is sometimes prone to using cleverly disguised sarcasm to enlighten that matter. There is a dark and almost dangerous aura about Gelid, and it is not clear whether he is actually attempting to rebel against Percy, or if he is simply loyally following the cat; mainly due to his uncanny ability to conceal his actions and emotions. He's quite a challenging tom, in his own subtle way; though it appears that this side of him only appears around the lower ranking cats. His heart, or what is left of it, is set solely against Percy, and he has been internally struggling with keeping his emotions and opinions at bay; though he has done so thus far, in following orders given without question. Despite loathing his own leader, he would kill a cat on command… he would even go so far as to kill a recruit, as he feels that it would keep suspicion of him long enough for him to plot against the tom. Naturally his blood is cold, or else he wouldn’t be able to cope with killing so many innocents to reach his goal. Colder than cold; gelid.

    ~Likes
Silence- It gives him time to think in depth, allowing him to repent for the wrong he has done.
Cats with strong wills- No matter their views, he finds their determination extremely intriguing.
Rain- It may be cold and quite discomforting, but everything from the feel, to the scent reminds him of his family.

    ~Dislikes
Being asked questions- Though he'd never show it, it annoys him to no end when he is asked a question, as it makes him feel as though he's being made vulnerable.
Sunny or bright days- The light and its rays irritate his sensitive fur.
Talkative Cats- He doesn’t talk much himself, so he fails to see why others would need to.
Death- He wants so badly to live long enough to witness the fall of King Percy.

    ●\\History//●
When Gelid was younger, he was a simple loner; living with his mother and brother in the forest. He was quite the fearless young tom, and so he and his brother would go on regular adventures, often challenging each other to do daring and idiotic things, which mainly resulted in them getting scolded.
On one of their little trips the brothers came across a badger's burrow, the two sibling's hadn't ever seen a badger, and had ignored their mothers warnings to stay away from them; daring each other to investigate the hole. When they were about a tail length away from the burrow, a large beastly head slowly rose out of the whole; Followed by a thickly furred neck, and broad shoulders. The creature's onyx eyes were fixed on the two young toms, daring them to move even an inch; a badger. That's what it must have been, seeing as its large white head, decorated with two black stripes, had appeared from the badger's burrow.
Gelid had made a weird squealing sound, scrambling backwards in a sudden panic. He'd never been put in such a dangerous situation before, and was quite honestly scared out of his wits. He never noticed his brother hadn't moved at all, not even a kit-leap away from the Badger. He was just standing there, eyes wide, and body trembling. The badger sunk its jaws into the other tom's back, tearing at him with its claws.
Gelid had never felt so terrified, so vulnerable, in his life. All he could do was watch as his brother was shredded under the great weight of the vicious beast. He was too scared to help... to save his sibling. Only as his brother's bloody body sank to the floor, did Gelid realize exactly what was happening. He lunged at the badger, knowing it was already far too late to save his kin, but wanting to avenge his brother’s death, even if it cost him his life. The badger easily overpowered him, pinning him down under its sheer weight, and raking its hind claw down his side.
By now his mother had realized her two children had been missing for too long a time, and had scented them back to the badger burrow, only to find one of them dead, and the other quite nearly dying. She attempted to drive the badger away, at the cost of her own life. The result wasn’t at all pleasant… and not something Gelid often ponders. Though, he dose often think about how he ran away; well, it wasn’t exactly running… more like dragging himself away while wailing pathetically about the pain that tore through his body.
He would have died that day, cold and alone on the forest floor, had it not been for a young she-cat named Flax. She was a moon or two older than him, and had a distant knowledge with herbs, which in turn saved his life. After that day they remained as close as family, two young cats against the world! Never having to look back ever again! Yeah, it was good while it lasted… which wasn’t very long.
The two of them, unfortunately, stumbled across some cats from the District. They were battered about a bit, but the double team were both strong, and stubborn none the less. After reviling they weren’t of kitty-pet blood, they were brought –against their will, may I add- and trained as recruits under close supervision. The two of them graduated on to become Feeders, and though the food they ate themselves wasn’t exactly top-notch, they were grateful not to be anything more.
Moons later, the two close friends became mates; producing two beautiful kits. Sadly, one of those very kits was born still; a great loss for Gelid and Flax, but bearable so long as they had their sweet kitten with them. Though, it appeared to be a remarkably small kitten to those who hadn’t seen it’s more petite deceased sibling. It wasn’t long before both the kit and the mother fell ill with an unidentified disease… all Gelid could do was watch them grow weaker and weaker as the days passed.
He requested permission for them to see the medicine cat, but both he and his mate were of very low status; they were rejected without a single bat of an eyelid. The kit died that same day. Gelid selfishly abandoned his mate, before he had to watch the same happen to her. After the death of his second child, he was enraged; though, he knew he could never express this anger openly. He grew to loathe Percy, and in the tragic motion of abandoning his mate, he allowed himself to increase in strength and status. Ever since he has been biding his time… killing innocent cats to fake his own loyalty. Simply slaughtering them, so that he can reach his goal; revenge for the death of his child.
He has been waiting for Nikita’s return… hoping, praying! Because when she once again places paws on District soil, he will aid her in overthrowing the king.
