    Risenpaw came down, made Oafkit stop crying and hurting, "Don't let her die. Pretend that she is me." Then she disappeared.

    Damppaw looked to where her sister disappeared and sent her thanks, she bent down and picked up the kit and took her to a sunny spot next to the warriors where she curled up around the kit

    Im not going to hurt you im going to take care of you" she mumbled. "take a nap you need one I'll show you around camp later so don't wander around brackentail might eat you." she said and then fell asleep

    damppaw chuckled facing her she smiled showing her teeth,"thats right so stay put because He doesn't know you yet he could eat you and I should introduce you because he is very fierce and wild."

    Damppaw began to lick her tenderly, "Don't worry I'll always protect you, even if it costs me my life!" she meowed sturdily.

    A large tom padded into camp. He snapped off the tip of Oafkit's tail.


    She yowled in pain.


    The tom ran off.

    damppaw got to her feet growling she picked up the kit and said Ill take you to my nest in the apprentice den if you leave it brackenstripe will eat you and I'll have to avenge you
