  • ''Nice to meet you too Ze Mole'' Nitro replied. Ze Mole, what a weird name. he thought inwardly. ''Yep! I am loner actually. And I live here. There's a bunch of cool stuff here.'' he chirped.

Texanspirit smiled pleasently. ''So, we were just passing through here. But now that I've found someone I know, maybe we can stay here for a few days.'' she looked at Ze Mole. ''That's okay right.''

''Sweet, I have a den just around the corner here.'' Nitro replied, grinning. ''It'll be like a sleepover.'' he jumped up and down at the thought.

  • Christophe flicked his ears, looking at Nitro with a strange expression. "Here? Viz him?" He frowned, flicking his tail. It wasn't like they'd been moving slow, and he actually hadn't planned on getting here so soon, so it wasn't like they absolutely couldn't stay. But the prospect of sharing a den with Nitro just made him want to bang his head against a wall. "I suppoze, eef you really want to," he muttered, sounding less than enthused.

  • ''Yay!'' Texanspirit cheered. She was happy that she could spend sometime catching up with her old friend. She was completely oblivious to Ze Mole's lack of enthusiasm.

''Follow me~'' Nitro meowed, marching forward in front of the two and leading them around a pile of junk. He stopped in front of a small wooden structure that resembled a twoleg nest but not as big. ''A big junkyard dog use to live here.'' the silver tabby tom meowed. ''But I showed it who's boss of the junkyard and killed it myself. Totally kicked it's mangy ass. You shoulda been there.'' he bragged. Okay, so maybe it was a little lie--er, big lie. There had been a dog, but it had died from from old age shortly after Nitro arrived at the Carrion Place. ''C'mon in. Got some fresh kill ready for you guys.'' he prodded a pile of scrawny looking rats.

Texanspirit eyed the rats with distaste but didn't say anything. Nitro was kind enough to let them stay in his home. She wouldn't be an ungracious guest.

  • Christophe reluctantly followed, growing more irritated at Nitro with each word. He narrowed his eyes, not buying his story at all. Having been mauled by a dog before and left nearly dead, he knew good and well that no cat--especially this moron--could take one down alone. He figured there would be no use saying anything about it; it would probably end up in argument and whatnot. He slowed to a stop as they neared the den, sitting beside it and eyeing the pile. He was no picky eater; anything worked for him, long as he was hungry.

  • Texanspirit took a rat from the pile and sat down inside. She had never tasted rat before but it looked similar to a mouse so maybe the taste would be similar as well. She took a small bite and shrugged. Not bad. Looking up at Nitro, Texanspirit asked the question that had been nagging her brain since they found him. ''So..what are ya doing out here in Carrion Place, Nitro?''

Nitro grinned. ''Well I got bored of that dull old forest den I used to live in so I moved.'' he meowed. He left out the part were a badger and her cubs attacked him and chased him out of his den. What they didn't know, won't hurt them. ''Carrion Place is by far way better than the stupid forest. I mean c'mon, look at all the cool stuff here! Plus plenty of prey, even during leaf-bare.'' the grin never left his face as he spoke. ''But what are you guys doing here? Passing through or staying for good, because that would be totally wicked!''

  • "We're juzt pazzing through," Christophe said quickly, looking alarmed at the thought of staying here with this cat for good. "In fact, we'll probably be out of your fur by tomorrow," he added, shooting Texanspirit a look that told her not to argue. "Have to ztay on ze move, you know?" He glanced down at the pile of rats and and pulled one out, taking a bite out of it. It was a little foul, but he could live with it.

  • A look of dissapointment flashed through Texanspirit's gaze but she knew that he was right. ''Yeah, we do have ta keep movin'.'' she meowed. Too bad, it would've been fun to stay a few days longer with Nitro. Maybe Ze Mole would be used to him be then. She finished off her rat in a few bites.

Nitro pouted. ''Aw c'mon! I won't hurt to stay just an extra day! I never get any company out here.'' he shot a glance at Ze Mole, knowing that if it wasn't for him, Texanspirit would've probably agreed to stay.

''It's really not my decison...'' Texanspirit pointed out genetly. Nitro could be a little...oversensitive and bratty times. He always wanted to have his own way. ''I agreed to travel with Ze Mole, so he's the one who knows were we need to go next.''

Nitro opened his mouth to protest but closed it quickly. ''Fine.'' he muttered, flicking his tail in annoyance.

  • "You know, you're not going to get any company, living in a place like ziz," Christophe pointed out to Nitro when he pouted. "I mean, really, how many catz do you zhink juzt up and zay, 'gee, I'm gonna go to Carrion-place today to make zome friendz!'" He gave the tom a knowing look, finishing off the rat.

  • Nitro scowled. How dare this cat, after he had invited him to his home, so blunty insult his prescious home. ''Their is nothing wrong with Carrion place!'' he argued defensivly. ''Not may cats have...as good of a taste in homes as me.''

Texanspirit couldn't help agreeing with Ze Mole but she didn't say anything. She shot a sympathetic glance at Nitro.

OOC: Short post, in a hurry. XD

  • ((It's all chill x3))

Christophe smirked slightly, flicking his tail. He wasn't much of a tasteful cat, and certainly wasn't picky when it came to deciding where he'd be spending the night or what he'd be eating--but he did have enough sense not to make himself at home in the middle of trash and rats and whatever else. "I'm sure zat eez eet," he said, his tone laced with sarcasm.

  • Nitro didn't seem to get the sarcastic tone in Ze Mole's voice. He just flashed a grin and looked away. After a few moments of awkward silence. Nitro stood up. ''I'm going hunting.'' he said. ''Try not to screw up my den while I'm gone.'' He took his spoon in his jaws once more and slipped out of the den in search of rats.

Texanspirit cleared her throat and looked at Ze Mole, with a look that seemed to say; ''Isn't he the greatest?'' she cleared away a dusty spot on the ground an lay down. ''He isn't all that bad,'' she began. ''once ya get used ta him.''

  • Christophe rolled his eyes, sitting in a corner of the den and gazing out after Nitro. "Vell, eet doezn't look like ve vill be ztaying long enough for me to 'get uzed to him,' zank goodnezz," he muttered. "We're leaving in ze morning." He flicked his ears, frowning slightly as a sharp pain wrenched at his stomach, but making no other indication to show that he was in pain. "You could alvayz ztay here, you know." He said, glancing over at her.

  • Texanspirit looked at him in surprise. ''But I already agreed to travel with ya. I wouldn't back out of that.'' she told him. She got a chill down her spine and shudered. ''Jeeze, it got cold all of a sudden.'' she muttered, wrapping her tail around her paws tightly. ''If we really must leave in the morning,'' she continued. ''Then so be it. Nitro...he'll just have ta...get over it.'' she frowned at the thought of leaving her friend alone once more but then came to the realization that it was his choice to live alone. Nothing was stopping him from finding a group of loner friends or joining a clan somewere. Living in Carrion-Place purely his decison.

  • Christophe yawned, lying down on the ground. He was a bit surprised by Texanspirit's loyalty, though he still couldn't help but question her choice in friends. "Cold?" He raised a brow, looking at her as if she were crazy. He felt as if he were lying on the surface of the sun. "Are you zick or zomezing?"

  • ''I don't think so...'' Texanspirit murmured. She shrugged. ''Your not cold? At all?'' She curled up opposite side of the den from Ze Mole, her pelt prickling.

Nitro's scrawny frame shadowed the doorway just then. In his mouth, he held a couple rats. He droped them and raised a brow questioningly. ''Going to sleep already? It's barely dusk.'' he meowed.

  • Christophe shook his head, wincing as another sharp pain shook him. He lanced up as Nitro returned, his already bad mood rapidly dwindling because of the random sharp pangs in his stomach. "I don't know about her, but I am," he muttered in response. "Zo I'd appreciate it if you didn't bozher me."

  • Nitro's tail twitched. ''Okay grumpy pants. Maybe you won't be so hostile in the morning.'' he said grinning. ''So Texanspirit do you want to-''

''Actually I'm going ta hit the sack to. Sorry.'' Texanspirit meowed appologetically. She was starting to feel a bit sick to her stomach. She lay her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Nitro's tail drooped. ''You guys are such party poopers.'' he muttered.

  • Christophe said nothing; he rested his muzzle on his paws and closed his eyes, clenching his teeth as his stomach twisted in pain. He wasn't too tired--exhausted, yes, but not enough to sleep; however, with the pain he was in, he figured he'd be better off after a night of rest. Sleep eventually came, but not quickly, and definitely not easily; he felt as if he were being clawed repeatedly from the inside, with no way of stopping it or defending himself against the attack.

  • Nitro curled up in the back of the dog house. And fell asleep after a while.

Texanspirit tossed and turned, starting to feel feverish. She was cold and hot off and on through out the night and barely got any sleep. When she finally was able to drift off, it was nearly dawn.

  • Christophe peeled his eyes open, wincing at the brightness of the sun. He was obviously sick, no question about it; after the restless night he'd had, along with the twisting stomach pains and hot flashes, he'd be an idiot not to think so. The question was, could he travel in this state? He wanted to get going as soon as possible, but it didn't seem as if he'd have the strength to.
