JOIN REDSTAR IN DESERTCLAN!

Quailfur was lying in the dim moonlight grooming himsellf. the clan was remotely silent except for the desert breeze crawling across the sand. He was pleasanly suprised with how peaceful the last few moons had been. He was purring to himself as his red tabby pelt shined under the moonlight

Redstar had approved of morningflights loyalty to her sister, though he wasnt so sure about to the clan yet. Even so, he had aproved her a spot in the warriors den and told her, on behalf of icestrike clawing him, that she was welcome to stay as long as she played her part in the clan.

Sagepaw was doing a little night hunting by himself. He was crouched, about to spring at a mouse when a sharp bark startled him. He whirled around and in his horror a coyote was sprinting tours him. He jolted back and started running. "HELP!!!" he yowled. The one flaw about the desert was there werent many trees to hide in for protection. It was open flat ground infront of him for as far as he coudl see.

Sagepaw screeched in horror. He tripped over a rock and scrambled up, but it was too late. THe COyote was standing above him with drooling jaws. He slashed at its muzzle once, remembering everything that his mentor had taught him. He thrust upward to try and claw at its eyes but it caught hismid-lunge and through him. He hit a spiny shrub and got stuck in it. Thorns snagged at his pelt and ripped pieces out of it. The coyote came nearer.

Redstar decided to get up and check the camp. He went through all the dens and noticed that Sagepaw was gone. His heart sank. An apprentice as young as him shouldnt be out alone... he thought seriously. "Sagepaw?" he started calling around camp quietly, trying not to wake anyone up

"I... im stuck!!! Icestrike be careful!" Sagepaw tried to dislodge himself from the plant but he couldnt.

Redstar had left camp in search of Sagepaw when he came across the coyote and Icestrike. He leap forward and with his combined wieght knocked it to the ground with Icestrike. His dug his teeth into its neck and listened to it yelp, its jaws snapping.

"Its just a coyote!" he snarled ripping the tip of its ear. "It will give up!" Redstar was very large and he had 9 lives to give before his clanmates. But at the same time what kind of leader would he be to not let his clan fight? He jumped back and slahsed from further away while icestrike took the lead.

Redstar didnt want to leave icestrike for herself, but he could see she was doing fine fighting. HE turned and went to sagepaws side. He growled as he reached in and grabbed him by the scruff. "You will be in trouble for this one." he sage yanking him out of the thorns and letting him flop down.

"I...im sorry Redstar." Sagepaw was on the verge of tears. "I... i was jsut trying to hunt at night."

"Go back to clan and tell the medicine cat to tend to you." Redstar said a little less harshly, but turned away. He was prepared to help Icestrike if needed.

"Not pups too!" Redstar coudl see another one, only as big as him, creeping forward. HE lurched forward and knocked it over. It howled in protest but he silenced it quickly. It was young and dindt know much about fighting. He stood triumphant on the limp body and looked at Icestrike. "THat was brilliant!" he praised her.

Redstar could see she was trying to be tough and was hurt. "He will be fine. I think his egos hurt more than his body. Though he lost a couple clumps of fur." he mewed. "Are you ok?" then turned to fallenfurn. "Please check along this border fallenfurn and then ome back to clan as soon as you can. Im going to get icestrike to the medicine cat."
