DYING KIT FOUND IN THE SNOW!

    Shadowfall layed down not far from Charan and watched, ready to call the medicine cat if she needed to.

    Charan's nightmare gripped her soul.
    "No!" she screamed as she could see the fire writhing around her mate.
    "No this can't happen again!" she screamed as she watched him slowly writhe back and forth burning.
    "No! stop it!" she wailed.She heard small screams.
    She whipped around to see her kits under the huge dog.
    "You can't do this to me again!" she screeched as she tried to move.
    She couldn't move her paws stuck to the ground.
    She watched as her kits died, crying, wailing for it to end.
    It was not over, she heard them.
    "This happened because of you!" they screamed.
    "I am so sorry! I tried!" she wailed.

    Shadowfall went over and grabbed Pearkit and went back to the medicine cats den and told Pearkit to go to sleep. Pearkit heard Charan's screams and ran over and licked her confortingly between the ears.

    Charan's body jutted back and forth screams filled the air her nightmare was torturing her.
    She let out a long scream of pain, her claws dug into the ground.
    Her face twisting in pain.

    Her eyes flashed open.She was shaking as she looked around.
    She let out a small wail and buried her muzzle in the dirt.
    " I didn't mean to let them die..." she whispered.

    Pearkit licked Charan's head again and went back to Shadowfall and layed down. "let Charan rest, she needs it." whispered Shadowfall to Pearkit.

    And with a joly, the kit woke blinking her blurry eyes. Confused, she glanced, gaping openly at Charan "Her kits... I know what happened." SHe blinked, completely in awe.

    while Shadowfall was asleep, Pearkit ran over to the other kit. "what happened to them?" mewed Pearkit.

    Charan's fearful gaze struck the kits.
    No... don't tell, It'll just worry them...
    she hoped the kits would stay out, they would only get hurt.
    She remembered her nightmare, the memories stung her heart with a icy loneliness.

    She hesitated meeting Charan's gaze. Unsure of what to say, she glanced at Pearlkit and shrugged. Flicking an ear at CHaran, she shrugs casually, "Why don't you ask her yourself?"

    "because she wont answer me." Pearkit mewed. "i wont tell anybody!"

    Charan felt guilty for having anyone have to worry about her.
    She looked at pearpaw and then at Felicity.
    "As... long... as you don't tell the others..."
    she rasped, to weak to say more.
    She turned away, kits couldn't make her feel any better, only if they were her own, but her kits were dead.

    (its Pearkit-Pearpaw is on the other one!)

    "i wont. i promise." Pearkit meowed

    Charan couldn't help it, she was going to die of grief, and she knew it.
    No matter how much I try to push it away, it always finds me.... and it haunts me...

    Blinking, she was shrewd enough to guess Charan's emotions and blinking at Pearlkit responds, "Later. Not here"

    "ok. you decide when." mewed Pearkit.

    Charan felt her pelt quiver with a feeling of fear.
    Her eyes closed and she opened them to see Lira in front of her.
    She stood up.
    "Lira... I..."
    Lira touched her shoulder.
    "Lira, I'm sorry for being so sad for myself it's just..."
    Lira looked into her eyes.
    "It is alright.... I have seen many strong Silence cats fall into the grips of pain and grief.
    You are not the first, nor the last."
    "But... haven't you ever done it?"
    "I have almost done it, but have tried to keep my heart up and look forward to the future."
    "But... isn't it hard?" she asked.
    "Yes... but I must stay strong to keep the sides even.. now You must take care of the cats before you... they must be protected, for she is coming."
    Lira turned and vanished into the darkness.
    Charan's eyes closed and opened to the real world.

    Pearkit padded over to Shadowfall and waited.
