Sink or Swim(More training with Splotchpaw)

    Rosedeath saw the river just ahead of her and picked up her pace a little challenging her apprentice to run faster. "Hurry up Splotchpaw!" She called playfully and slowed down a little only to pick up her pace again and repeat the process.

    "Coming!" Splotchpaw sprinted harder, and was side-by-side with her mentor, if around a mouse-tail-length behind.

    Rosedeath stopped as she came to the edge of the river letting her apprentice beat her by a hair. "That was quite a work out." She said playfully and then bent down and took a drink from the river. She had gotten thirsty on the run over. After taking her fill she looked up and back towards her apprentice. "Ready for a swim?" She asked her apprentice.

    Splotchpaw nodded happily. She too, leaned over the water and drank. She wanted to avoid all chances of drowning, like when she was a kit.

    "Alright then," Rosedeath said and then dove into the water careful not to splash her apprentice. She resurfaced and paddled her way back to the river bank. "Now your turn," She said encouragingly.

    Splotchpaw tentitively walked into the river. When only just able to stand, she kicked out, and paddled, keeping her head above the water.
