Riverfeather flopped down by the pond and looked at the water, seeing her mother and her sister playing together then when she blinked all she could see was herself. She turned away from the pond and curled up, covering her face with her tail and she started to cry.

She jumped onto a familiar fence and saw Twoleg kits sqeal with delight with a kitten. She sighed and turned around, jumping into a nearby tree and racing toward camp, I can't go back to that life, not now, not ever. I am a clan cat and Evilstar would kill me if I tried to leave, she thought.
