Saphirepaw woke up from a long peaceful sleep and stretched. She padded over to the warrior den. She wanted to go hunting! "Hey Lionstrike!" she whispered. Then she walked out of the warrior den. A tear dropped down her face. Then she remembered he got killed from leading a pack of dogs away from the camp two days ago. Why did he have to die? I should of been the one dead! Not him! she thought to herself. Wait, who is my mentor? She looked out the camp. She wanted to go hunting, but the first thing she did every morning was ask him if she could go hunting or if she could help with anything. She wanted to go hunting soo bad, but she wanted to make sure someone knew she was out of the camp! She sighed. "What am I going to do?"
Saphirepaws needs a mentor!

Suddenly, Rainfrost padded out of the warrior den. Her white paws pressed down into the snow, and her blue/grey fur rippled in the cold breeze. She stretched, arching her back, and yawned. Looking around, she padded over to the fresh-kill pile. Snatching up a small, skinny fish, she spotted Sapphirepaw and padded over, the lifeless fish moving around in her jaw. "Hello, Sapphirepaw. How are you doing today?" she asked, smiling warmly. She could only imagine how heartbroken the young she-cat must feel, having her wonderful mentor die. Rainfrost, too, could feel her pain, for her mentor, Steamclaw, had passed away with a fight against Shadowclan to defend their territory. Those had been dark times indeed. Now, she had recently been made a warrior, about 7 moons ago. She was young for a warrior, and she secretly loved a warrior from Riverclan, Redfang. Of course, their parents hated eachother, and she meant HATED! So, she secretly loved him, and she was hoping he felt the same way.
-
"Oh, hey Rainfrost. I am a little down today. Still not used to Lionstrikes death right now. I dont think I ever will be. You know, he was like a father to me." her father died when she and her brother were just a week old and their eyes werent even open yet so they never really did know him. Her and her brother were made apprentices two weeks before they should of because their mother died of white-cough. They werent aloud out of camp, even though they were apprentices, until they were exactly 6 moons old. They stayed around helping the clan camp. Saphirepaw sighed, missing her brother. A week
ago, he fell in love with a Thunderclanner and went to live with them. As the whole clan knew, the only one who was always there for Saphirepaw was Lionstrike, so now, she basically had no one. -
Rainfrost sighed. "Don't worry, Sapphirepaw, everything will be alright. Would you care to go hunting with me?" she asked, feeling so sorry for the poor apprentice. She didn't even have any kin in this clan left. Rainfrost couldn't bear to think what it would be like if her mentor had died. Of course, all her sibligns and parents were off in SHadowclan, so, she knew what it felt like, sort of.
-
"Really?! I would love to go hunting with you!" she said. She was excited. She hadnt been hunting in four days and needed to get out of the camp. "Thanks!"
-
"Okay then, let's go!"
She bounded to the entrance, and, slipping through the reeds, arrived at the river. -
Saphirepaw ran after her and stopped at the river. She saw a fish coming and slashed her paw through the river water. The fish went flying through the air, and in an attempt to catch it, Saphirepaw lost her balance and fell into the freezing river and jumped out as fast as she could. She was dripping wet, but she got the fish! She shook and padded back over to the river. "Oops." she said.
-
"Hey, great catch, but maybe we should move to a different area of the river, you might've scared all the fish away!" she said in a teasing mannor. "At least you got the fish, and it looks like a nice, plump one!" Heading towards a different are of the river, Rainfrost crouched down to study the river currents. Suddenly, out of nowhere, her paw reached into the river and shot back up with a fish on her claws. By now, it was reflexes.
-
"Nice catch!" Saphirepaw exclaimed. She padded a little further into the reeds, when she heard a sound. She crouched down and stalked around the side of the bank. She pounced and held her prey down with both paws and swiftly killed it. She padded back over to Rainfrost and dropped the water vole at her paws. "It may not be as good as fish, but it is still prey!" she said.
-
"Whoa, great catch! And it's just as good as a fish, nice and plump!" she replied, padding towards another area.
-
Saphire paw looked gratefully at Rainfrost. Her ears perked. "What was that?"
OOC: Is it ok if I let my little sister (Brook Hyland ROCKS!) play as a dog or fox or something? Just because she really wants to.
-
OOC: Sure, you can do whatever, besides, it'll be nice to get more people in the rp.
IC: Rainfrost spun around on her paws, unsheathed her claws, bristled her fur, and stared into the dark bushes where the noise had come from.
"I don't know, but stay very....still....."
