  • rune watched for a moment as the golems shattered, falling into the snow, as he hummed curiously. golems were always something that were so cool to him, though he never got a chance to read his book about them. it was a long book, but he was always reading his books about magic and trying his best to remember everything in them. it was hard, but he was working on it. he was really trying. as micah came closer to him, he could hear his heart beating in his ears, but a small laugh fell from his mouth, an exhausted smile pushing onto his features. "oh, did you think I was going to strip out here? I was just taking off my gloves!" his head tilted with another giggle before a small gasp caused his eyes to widen, while micah's cold, and yet oddly comforting hands pressed onto his cheeks, and he was pulled in for a gentle kiss. before he could even could consciously think about it, rune was leaning into it, humming contently, his eyes closing before he pulled back, away from the boy, panting heavily. "h..hah... congratulations o-on.. w... winning..." he closed his eyes again, before he looked up to the sky. "f-full moon.. thank you f-for the snowball fight.. a-and the kiss... it.. was really nice." he scratched his head nervously. "I gotta get some rest. don't stay out here too long, okay? I'll see you in the morning." and before anything else could be said, he made his way inside, and into his room, shutting the door behind him, leaning his head up against the door, with a sigh, as his fingers touched to his lips. that was an amazing kiss...

the next morning, rune was up rather early. maybe even as early as four in the morning. he wasn't sure why he had all of this energy, but he did. he continued to read book after book, and as he sat in his living room, open books all around him, he rubbed his eyes, determined to find something. he had told micah when he got here that he would help him out, by finding a way to control his powers. a way to make sure that he didn't freeze anything, other than water because his body temperature was so low, he wasn't sure he wouldn't be able to make water cold, even with something protecting it, that he didn't want to freeze. "let's hope this works." he muttered, as he grabbed a small red tinted crystal, wrapped with branches and put on a string. it was look so handsome on micah... wait. that was not what he was supposed to be thinking about right now! ugh, he couldn't help it. that kiss really just confirmed everything he had been so desperate to deny. he did like micah... in that way. it was like when you saw someone so pretty, that you just can't stop thinking about them. he didn't think it more than a crush, but that was totally not what it was. shaking his head, the boy just places his hand gently on the amulet, quietly muttering the words before a large flash a light for a moment, his eyes managed to roll to the back of his head as he passed out on the ground.

within a few minutes, no more than fifteen, he was coming to, groaning as he touched his hands to his face, which felt wet. a familiar feeling. he pulled his hands back with a wince as he saw the blood dripping from his nose, his eyes dull, and dark circles forming under them, almost immediately. he looked almost dead. it was rather frightening, and he felt worse than he looked, but he didn't care. that just meant it worked. picking up the amulet, the boy slowly made his way up the stairs, gently wiping his nose. "m-micah.. are... y-you.. a..awake..?" he breathed heavily as his hands weakly knocked against the door of the guest bedroom. he didn't hesitate to push the door open, leaning against the door frame. "h-here... I think... I think I did it, micah... y-you gotta put this on and then take off all your clothes.." he said though his entire face seemed to flush with red as he realized how that sounded. that was not exactly what he meant.. but it was too late now.

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

after rune had gone inside, micah sank to his knees into the snow, gulping as he lowered his head and tugged his hood over his face. why did he feel like this? why was he so nervous and shaky? rune seemed to like it, but the other boy's quick dismissal and entering of his house made micah feel like maybe he shouldn't have bet a kiss if he won. he knew he was going to win, maybe that's why he bet that. but still... having a first kiss because of a bet? the more micah thought about it, the more he disliked his own actions. it felt wrong. like he tricked rune or something. maybe he should have just asked for a hug or something smaller and simpler than that. the pain in micah's chest grew and he gripped his clothes with his hand, grinding his teeth together. you're terrible for him. you'll do nothing but hurt him. you mean nothing to him. an angry voice that he'd never really heard before bellowed in his mind, and he grabbed the sides of his head, biting on his tongue.

the next morning, micah was in his room, laying on his frozen bed and staring at the ceiling. he hadn't been able to sleep that night, but the time passed rather quickly. it felt like he had been staring at the ceiling for a mere few minutes, though he knew that hours had passed and he had been lying awake all night. a soft knock at his door made him glance towards the noise, though he sat up when he saw rune's ill frame. being as he had been trying to sleep, micah was already completely naked, covered by a think blanket of snow that fell off his surprisingly toned chest. "rune, what happened? are you okay? t-take... off my clothes? what is it? i guess that'll be easy because i'm already... naked..." the male blushed, making sure to add some more snow over his hips and legs just in case. the male grabbed the item from rune's hands and glanced at it before slipping on it over his head. it was really pretty... "what...is it supposed to do?"

maybe i am just too much for you

  • the boy tilted his head, before he just gasped, covering his eyes, laughing nervously. "i'm sorry! i-i didn't know and I s-swear I didn't mean it l-like.. th..that.." he pulled his hands down, staring at the boy's body for a moment before just handing him the amulet, looking down at his feet. "i-i'm fine. this... remember when.. I said I wanted to help you? like really help you? well.. it took all night.. and I feel really really tired but I think.. I think I finally made the amulet work. it's supposed to help you control your powers... to make you not freeze anything unless you.. really wanna freeze it." he rubbed his cheek with a small laugh, closing his eyes for a moment. "guess you could say I got inspired to work harder. a-and if this works, you can go to school with me a-and not fr-freeze everything." he huffed for a moment, closing his eyes for a moment, before they blinked back open, his eyes glowing green. "I worked really hard and I really hope it'll work. if you try this for me I'll give you another kiss.. I just really need this to work." he blinked a few times, again, his eyes returning to the coffee brown color. "come on there.. there is one place in the house that's not completely protected. j-just.. put a towel... o..on.." rune covered his face again, turning away, and not even waiting to see if micah was following. he could only hope he was, and that the boy didn't think he was absolutely crazy for nearly killing himself over this.

//typing with dilated eyes is he worst smh

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

rune didn't really leave micah much time to get ready. even though he needed to be completely naked, micah wasn't the most comfortable with that, so he scrambled to put a pair of boxers on, since he didn't have a towel. why would he have one? it wasn't like he could shower. saying that made him feel weird and kind of gross, even though he knew his body temperature was too low for any kind of bacteria to grow on it, so he technically never got dirty. following after the other boy, micah couldn't help the worried look on his face as he stumbled forward. rune really had been up all night, hadn't he? all to help micah try to control his powers... there had to be something he could do to help rune feel better, right? there had to be something! micah couldn't just let rune kill himself over making him something that would help him control his own powers. when rune came to a stop, micah glanced around, unsure of what to do. the amulet felt odd around his neck, but it also felt like it was always meant to be there. like it belonged there. "okay... what now? what do you want me to do?"

maybe i am just too much for you

  • rune waited for the other to show up, before just taking a few steps back. "if this works... nothing. just.. just stay still for a moment... usually by now this room would of started to frost over, right? i-i mean I still remember when you were just running past my house and my room was getting all icy and.." he paused for a moment, looking around at the wide basement like room, taking a deep breath. "well... i.. think its.. working." he sounded hopeful, before he just sat down, feeling rather dizzy from all the moving he had been doing, but that was the least of his worries. he didn't care about any of that. he just wanted this to work. no, he needed it to work. he didn't want to really admit it, but that kiss made him realize just how much he really was addicted to the very presence of the other. he didn't know what it was. micah made rune feel better. it wasn't just emotionally. it was physically. he didn't want to get his hopes up, and say that he was getting less sick, but he absolutely felt that way. he would have to ask about.. but he could help but feeling that micah was a hell of a lot more important than he could place. "it... worked?" the boy pulled himself up, taking away from his thoughts, his tired eyes lighting up with excitement. "it works! it works! thank lady celestial!" he bounced excitedly, quickly stepping forward and wrapping his arms around in the other in a hug, before absentmindedly pressing a kiss to the other's lips, pulling back with a look of embarrassment spreading on his face. "oh- i'm so sorry for doing that! I just got really excited! I've never been good at enchanted items.. or any magic before you got here and I just.. I just-" he took a step back, running his fingers through his hair. "well, at least you can go to school with me now."

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

rune had told him to just stay there, so he did just that. the first thing he noticed was that, while his body temperature was certainly still beyond frigid, it wasn't steaming like it normally would be. the second thing he noticed was that nothing in the room was frosting over or freezing, just from him being there. he could barely register rune's words before the other was jumping up and down excitedly. it worked? micah had barely any time to react before run was pulling him in for a hug and pressing a kiss on his lips. he couldn't even kiss back before rune had pulled away -- though micah stood still, a slow blush creeping across his face again. pushing down his feelings, micah glanced towards a random object -- a basketball -- and gripped it carefully. it didn't freeze the instant it was touched, nor did it frost over slowly the longer he held it. the blue haired boy found tears welling up in his eyes as he turned to rune. "it did work... it's not frozen..." to say he was mystified wasn't even close to being enough. just like rune couldn't help himself earlier, micah found himself wrapping his arms around rune excitedly, rapidly placing soft kisses all over the other's face -- which started to look much more lively and less tired. "it worked! nothing is frozen! you're not frozen! you're amazing rune! really really amazing! beyond amazing!"

maybe i am just too much for you

  • rune giggled happily as he was pulled into a hug, his entire body heating up with the contact of the bunch of small kisses all over his face. he was still tired, yes, but for some reason he didn't even feel as terrible as he had, just moments earlier. "me? amazing? n-no.. i just.. care about you is all." he laughed nervously, as he rubbed the back of his head, closing his eyes and holding onto micah in a hug. he didn't even care that the other was almost completely naked. he just wanted to savor the moment.

    --

a few weeks later, maybe a month or so, rune did not feel pretty great. lately, he had been feeling a bit better, especially hanging around micah and with the boy being able to go to school with him. it was nice but he felt horrible today. as he looked at his phone, his eyes blinked slowly, as he realized the date. it was his birthday. no wonder he felt so terrible. he was turning 18 now, and well.. his birthdays weren't ever really celebrated. if his parents could remember, they would call him and give him a little extra money but that was it. they didn't always remember and so he barely told anyone. he didn't even tell micah.. and he had no plans to either. he was going to die anyways, so what was the purpose of celebrating his birthday? despite it all, he felt pretty uncoordinated today. dizzy. sick on his feet. clumsy. he had tripped over himself a lot, and even dropped his books several times. It wasn't much of a problem, however, until lunch period. as he grabbed his lunch, and juice, which just happened to be grape flavored today, he spun around, gasping as he tripped over himself, spilling his entire lunch on someone. he had opened his mouth to apologize, only for his eyes to widen in fear when he realized exactly who it was. "d-desmond.." he whimpered, as he tried to back away, only to be gripped roughly by his arm, by rick. "oh you little fucking bitch. you ruined my fucking shirt! I have a presentation today! you're going to fucking pay, you slut!" he snapped his fingers before rune was being dragged off to the locker rooms, no one even daring to step in. it seemed that desperate screams and pleads seem to fall upon deaf ears, as the red head frantically tried to explain himself. "i didn't mean for that to happen! y-you don't understand, i-it was an accident!" he tried to get out of the rough grip of his bully, but the boy only pulled him harder, causing him to wince as he felt the bruises form beneath their hands.

"just like you being born! You know why your parents named you rune? because you ruin everything, you stupid slut!" desmond snapped, causing a dark realization. was that why his parents were never around? was that why he was the way he was? because of himself? by the gods he really did ruin everything. before he even had more time to process, he felt a rough hand on the back of his head, pulling at his long hair. in front of him was a bucket, seemingly of ice cold water. he was forced onto his knees and as he tried desperately to place his hands on the side of the bucket, using the only strength he could possibly muster to keep himself from being pushed under. "please, you guys! i'm sorry!" jake only grinned at the apology, leaning down as words that struck him like venom reached his ears. "not good enough." and before he could even scream for help, his head was plunged underneath the water. It was cold, and dark, and everytime he could feel himself slipping into the mistress' embrace, his head was pulled up, causing a deep gasp to catch any air that was no longer in his lungs. He panted heavily, trying his hardest to get away. "pl-please! I-" cut off again, forced deeper into the bucket, as he frantically tried to get out. I don't want to die! please lady celestial! he begged within his thoughts, before he once against felt the same slipping feeling, this time, his vision completely going black.

the darkness around him seemed stagnant, besides a small glowing and golden light. Within the dark fields, he seeked it out, reaching out and before he could touch it, the golden dragon turned to his master, touching his nose to rune's. "nice to finally meet you, master rune. I am your familiar." He purred, stretching out his beautiful wings. "a-a dragon? but didn't you guys go.. extinct?" he asked, confusion on his own gaze. "from this world, mostly. but no. we are still here and you, master, you were always special. when you wake, I will guide you to find me. don't worry master. you will live to see another day." he placed his nose on the boy's head and before he knew it, he was coughing up water, darkness turning into a blinding light, as he gasped for air, looking around to see.. cody?!

cody, along with professor shelia, and some other students. "what... whats.." cody seemed hurt by this, eyes blinded with a pain he couldn't quite understand. "you almost died. you were dead. why didn't you fight back, rune? you should of fought back!" he snapped angrily, the professor placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "why do you even care!? i've been getting beat up and bullied for years and now all of a sudden you feel bad? I don't... want your pity." he whimpered, pulling his knees to his chest for a moment before he desperately tried to stand up. "where's micah.. i-i need micah..."

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

micah definitely didn't fit in here. it was his first day and he had already been separated from rune. how could he have let this happen? desperately, the boy squeezed past other people in the cafeteria, trying to find rune. even though there was no actual exception that stated the two had to be right next to one another at all times, micah was panicking without the other boy by his side. he didn't know what to do or where to go. they shared all the same classes, so he could literally just follow him wherever. micah had gone to the bathroom and when he returned, rune was gone. he said he was going to get his lunch and sit down, but micah couldn't find him anywhere. perhaps rune had gone to the bathroom too. heading through the halls, micah ducked his head a little bit at an obnoxious looking boy, laughing dryly with a gross, stained shirt. "that's what he gets! stupid red haired whore. i'm going to fail my presentation because that idiot rune. drowning him wasn't nearly as painful as i wanted it to be, though." micah's head perked up. his body tensed up as the boys walked past him, calling him a freak and telling him to get lost. the icy boy could feel his eyes fading from their deep ashen gray to a pure white -- even the pupils of his eyes turning white. his hair followed suit; the dark and light blue strands seeming to freeze ad frost over. despite having the amulet, the temperature in the hallway dropped. nothing froze, but it was causing the boys to shiver and shake. right as the leader of the two turned to yell at him, micah's ice cold hands wrapped round both boy's mouths, preventing them from making noise as the tensed his hands up. the force was nearly enough to break their jaws.

releasing the one rick, micah focused on the one who seemed so proud of hurting rune. the furiously cold boy didn't feel rick punching, kicking, and trying to pull him off of desmond, as micah's fists connected with the other's face over and over and over. until the blood began coating micah's knuckles and spraying along the floors and lockers. once desmond stopped moving, micah's head snapped over to where rick was standing, shaking and trying to call for help. he never got the chance, though, because micah had grabbed him, too. was he trying to kill both of them? yes. would he succeed? he didn't care. all he cared about was making them pay. if they died, then who gave a shit, right?

with bloodied knuckles, face, and clothes, micah ran through the halls, looking in every classroom to find rune. his hair and eyes had returned to normal. hearing some commotion in the locker rooms, micah burst in through the door, spying rune struggling to stand up. the professor gasped at the sight of micah, covered in blood, though it was clearly not his own. micah's blood would freeze instantly being exposed to the air. "who... who the hell... what the hell happened to you?!" some random kid on the ground next to the professor asked, but micah just scooped rune up, holding the other carefully, tenderly, and tightly. "rune... i'm so sorry... i didn't know where you went... this is all my fault... if we hadn't gotten separated... what happened? are you okay? i'm so sorry... this is all my fault.." micah couldn't hear anybody else's voice as he held his best friend tightly, his shoulders shaking as he sobbed into the other boy.

maybe i am just too much for you

  • at the sound of the other kid, who was freaked out, rune lifted his head, panting heavily, his eyes widening as he felt himself being picked up, and held. he couldn't help but start to cry, as well, wrapping his arms around micah. "its.. n-not.. what did you do micah? why are you covered in blood?" he whimpered, as his head turned back to cody, who seemed to be freaked out that rune was around micah. "who's this?! rune, you can't be serious! he is drenched in blood like he just committed a murder!" the boy shouted, leaving rune flinching, as his eyes closed again. "i-i... micah is my best friend and I need him here... and you don't have the details of it.. he could be hurt.." he knew that micah wasn't hurt. he couldn't be.. right? he pushed himself out of micah's arms, using the boy to steady himself. he didn't need others to see him like that. they already thought him weak and now.. he just knew those sympathetic looks were coming, just the same look that cody had upon his face right now.

"i... I need to go home.." he muttered, as the professor spoke up again. "you can't rune. you have to go to the hospital.. the emts are already on their way." rune just shook his head, huffing quietly as he tried to catch his breath. "no.. I can't go to a hospital.. I have to go home.. I need to go home." he breathed as the teacher stood, putting her hand in rune's shoulder. "you have to get checked out, rune-" her soothing voice was cut off by rune's own voice, as his eyes began to glow green, and for the first time, in a very long time, he felt anger. "I said no! i'm not going to the fucking hospital! why doesn't anyone ever listen to me!?" and as soon as the words left his mouth, he gasped, blinking his eyes back, returning back to the cocoa brown color, looking at the shock on the group of kids' and teachers' faces. "i-i... didn't mean to.. we... gotta go.." and before anything else could be said, rune grabbed micah's hand, giving a desperate look to apologize to cody before he just ran out of the school.

when they finally got home, rune didn't hesitate to grab a blanket, and throw himself under it, and plopping onto the couch, tears unable to stop themselves as they steamed down his face. he had some pretty bad birthdays but this.. this had to be the worst. "i don't even know why I went to school... i-i mean every year on this day... it never works out well. I feel so bad and then i.. go anyways. I go to school anyways because my parents want me to focus on school b-but... I knew I shouldn't have... i.." he began to sob into the pillow, his entire body shaking. "i hate my birthday.. I hate it so much... I hate those bullies so much.. I hate... myself so much.." he wiped the tears from his face, looking at micah, with a frown. "I don't know why you even want to be around me.. i don't get it. I'm just a dying witch boy, with real.. purpose." this was turning into a pity party really quickly, and that was something rune tried so hard to avoid, but it was easier said than done. after all, he did die for a bit. and in doing so.. he met his familiar. and his childhood best friend had.. shown that he really did care about rune. he didn't understand any of it.. and he was so overwhelmed. and then.. he cussed.. the first time such words came out of his mouth, and he cussed at a teacher! oh, his reputation was ruined.. he was going to go from the kid everyone ignored, to the kid who died in school grounds, and cussed out teachers for trying to care on the same day. "this is horrible.."

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

something about this cody kid just... rubbed micah the wrong way. the way he looked at the blue haired boy, full of jealousy and disgust. the second rune said micah was his best friend, the look on cody's face... if looks could kill, everyone in a five mile radius would be dead from the glare micah was receiving right now. he simply buried his head back into rune's hair until the other stepped away from him; and micah continued to hold on to him tightly so the other didn't fall. the argument fell on deaf ears as micah stared in this staring contest with cody, his own eyes narrowing and fading from their ashen grey to a lighter white. before he knew it, he was being tugged away by rune and they were on their way home.

when they actually got home and rune slipped under the blanket, micah blinked a few times. his heart and chest hurt seeing the other cry this much and beat himself up verbally the way he was. biting on his tongue, micah quickly escaped to the bathroom, grabbing a towel to scrub the blood off of himself before he returned to the other man. without really thinking about it, micah kicked his shoes off, and lifted the blanket to join rune. he shifted the smaller male easier, placing rune on his lap and curling around the other like a chilly, protective barrier. his face found its way back into rune's hair and the other simply sat quietly for a few seconds. what a shitty birthday... micah's grip on the smaller boy tightened, but not painfully. it was more... tender. if that made any sense. "i'm glad you're okay... i don't know what i would have done if you weren't... i love you...."

maybe i am just too much for you

  • he had to be honest. he couldn't stop thinking about cody. it wasn't in any weird way, or anything like that, but cody had been his friend. a long time ago, they were friends. cody and rune, almost inseparable. and then.. just one day... they were. cody began avoiding him. sneering, and spitting. he never actually hurt rune, as if something was stopping him, but the hate in his eyes were real. it hurt rune to even think about. as he lowered his gaze mumbling to himself, his eyes moved over to micah who had moved under his covers, and gasping quietly as he was lifted to sit on the other's lap. was it possible for this to be even more awkward than the kiss they shared because it certainly felt that way. his cheeks had heated up at this point, but he really just needed the comfort. no matter how awkward, and how unusual this was. he meant, friends didn't sit on each other's laps like that, did they? ah, what did he know? he hadn't had a friend in so long. so, he just leaned into the other's touch, closing his puffy eyes, just listening to the other's breathing. he could of fallen asleep, had he not been so shaken up about having died on school grounds.

his eyes slowly blinked back open, as micah began to talk about how he hadn't known what he would do if anything had happened to him which reminded him graciously of his mortality. he gently rubbed his temple, before his entire body froze up, his pupils constricting as his blood felt cold. he what? did he hear that right? there was no way that micah said that... there was no way. "you.. love me?" the word felt so foreign on his tongue and yet, he wanted to say it again. "oh, micah." he sighed, gently grabbing the other's cold cheeks, his gaze softening. he didn't realize it until now but he did love micah. maybe that was why he felt so good around him. he pressed his lips against micah's, humming before he pulled away, wiping the tears from his own cheeks, with an exhausted smile. "i.. love you too. and i.. i really hope you don't blame yourself for what happened. that was my fault." he blinked for a moment, before gasping. "oh, gods, you didn't kill them did you? i... i gotta find that memory erasing spell... it'll only get rid of you covered in blood for those who saw it but i.. please tell me you didn't kill them, micah."

  • what else should i say? what else could i do?

hearing rune say it back too, micah's heart rate sped up and he couldn't help but gulp softly. what now? did they kiss? did they do other stuff? micah wasn't sure what he should do now, so he simply settled for holding rune a bit tighter as the other continued to talk. his good mood plummeted, however, at rune's panicked voice. did he kill those kids? honestly... he wasn't sure. the way their skulls and faces looked, however... it was very likely. the consequences of what he had done just barely set in to his body and micah was beginning to worry. he didn't need rune to sit there and also panic, though, so he kept his composure as best as he could. "i... i think so.... i didn't... i couldn't... stop myself... i heard them laughing and gloating about what they did to you and i just... i snapped." micah would never admit this, but it felt good. it felt good to watch his fists collide with their faces -- watching their smug smirks fade and turn limp as he beat the life out of them. if they were still alive, they certainly wouldn't be okay after they recovered. if they recovered, more like. "i... i'm sorry... i understand if you want me to leave... i wouldn't want to be around me either..."

maybe i am just too much for you

  • rune quickly found himself flinching, a wince leaving his tongue as he tried to keep himself calm, but he was totally freaking out. micah had killed people... at least that was what it seemed like. micah was unsure, but it was clear the boy just did what he had thought was right. it didn't make this situation any less scary, though. in fact, it probably made it more so. micah couldn't just go around killing anyone that talked bad about rune, or hurt him. sure, it was a sweet gesture, and it made rune realize just how dedicated micah was to protecting him, but it still did not make it okay. it wasn't okay. "okay.." he breathed out, his eyes clouding over as he gently rubbed his head, moving to stand up from micah's lap. "i'll... i-i'll handle it.. I think I can... maybe.. make it seem as if they just got into a car accident and make it so you aren't blamed for any of this... and if they survived.. they won't remember you either.." this was all so much. first, he was drowned by some bullies because he was feeling sick, and now.. he had to clean up this mess. he wasn't mad at micah. he really had to make sure that the icy boy understood that. "a-and before you ask... i'm not mad at you... I think its.. the nicest thing that any has done for me in a long time. most people wouldn't have even bat an eye but.." he just sighed. "th-thank you. i'll handle it and then we have to go. i-i don't want to go back to school and I kind of.. finally met my familiar."

he took a deep breath, turning away from micah and heading to his bookshelf, grabbing a large book with a small nod as he sat back. sometimes he wished such things would work on him, but he guessed it was apart of his curse that it wouldn't. trust him, he had tried a lot of memory spells on himself and while some magic did work on himself, he was often too weak to try and and memory manipulation was never something that he could work. closing his eyes for a moment, the boy casted the spell, feeling a little dizzy after, before he turned to micah, with a nod. "it's done. they won't know it was you.. but they still will know I died for a bit... I can't seem to change that." he rubbed his head. guess memories involving him were harder to manipulate too, and he was far too weak from the day's events to try it. what did it matter anyways? it was not as if they were going to care about it. they would fake concern for a day or two, and then go back to being normal see no evil, speak no evil type of people. he didn't care, too much. after all, he did have micah now. "d-do you.. uhm.. mind packing some clothes and stuff for me in a.. bag? like a camping bag? I gotta find my familiar and something tells me its gonna be a long trip." he also just wanted some time to himself. not that he didn't want micah around, because he totally did, it was just a little more complicated than that. after having a near death experience like that, he just needed a few minutes before they headed out. just a few, that was all.
