  • REDUCE MY INDIVIDUALITY ——— IC OPINIONS !

Alabaster paws trudge through the forest scenery, the scent of pine and oak filling his nostrils and putting the feline on edge. This would be his first experience outside, and he wasn’t sure if he was ready. All his training, all his studying, none of it could prepare him for what awaited beyond the borders of the place he had begun to believe as a sanctuary. The Syndicate had been his home, the people there his friends and family, and now he had a job to do and.. it was quite alarming. When he was thrust into the world, exiting the main establishment with the other chosen ones, he remembered thinking "this is it, huh?". He hoped this wouldn't be the last he saw of them and yet... he feared it might. Despite all they endured, perhaps they would become nothing more than strangers.

Adorning his neck is a silver collar, his last reminder of the people he had grown with and the horrors he endured. He should be excited that he was chosen for this task and yet he can’t help but feel worried that there was someone better up to it. When he had been assigned the Coven on Elysia, he thought it made sense at the time. They were a pro-clan that seemed to have more… celestial ties than the other surrounding clans that he could have opted for.

His fluffy tail swished behind him as he kept on forward, ears perked up in alert as though he knew he were being watched. His whole life he had been watched and now… Now he wasn’t. It wasn’t so much exhilarating to know of his sudden freedom but rather terrifying; terrifying to know he was now truly alone. He took a small pause and brought a paw up to the collar, trying to regain his confidence and when he felt thoroughly satisfied, he took a deep breath and called out, “Hello? Is anyone out there?”

  • Athanasius, on the contrary, had never been watched. No one in their life stayed around long enough to want to keep an eye on them. While some might find that liberating, the truth was that it was rather lonely. The thought of having eyes on them at all times, however, didn't appeal to them either. They were far too used to this lonely life they've lived. Perhaps there was simply nothing better for them.

A voice calls out nearby, and the kitsune narrows their eyes slightly. They sounded too close to their liking. They don't recall having drawn that close to the edge of the floating mainland, where their magical boats were docked. Had someone come up and not realize where they were? A likely enough scenario, which only went on to annoy the doctor since that meant that they had to deal with it on the off-time that they had when they weren't tending to their garden or out picking herbs.

"I am," A soft, monotonous voice is what greets the stranger. Stepping into view was a pale furred kitsune, whose whole demeanor practically screamed the word "tired." There were notable bags under their eyes, their shoulders slouched forward, and the fur messy and sticking up every which way. Rose washed eyes seemed sad, almost empty. Finally, a lavender color scarf was wrapped up around their throat, the hints of scars reaching up towards their jaw, just barely visible.

They carry a basket in their jaws which had muffled their words a good deal. They set it down beside them, their tails still as they dragged across the ground. "Name and business?" They ask bluntly, a small frown set onto their face.

In a way, she could relate to being watched. She, too, grew up in some sort of unofficial group, a small one that, as far as the amnesiac knew, had been her whole family. Besides her actual siblings, of course, whose faces and names were a blur in her mind. But none of that mattered now, she supposed; she was on her own now, in a clan full of strangers. If it weren't for her lack of a better plan, she probably would have left already. Being surrounded by people gave her a sense of dread for a reason she couldn't quite comprehend.

Behind Athanasius came South, the canine fixing this newcomer with a hard one-eyed stare. He didn't seem very threatening, in addition to the fact that, if he intended to cause trouble, he probably wouldn't have spoken out and made his presence known. Or he was just an idiot who didn't know how to be stealthy. Either way she would watch him closely, unsure of his intentions.

    /ic opinions!

  • "speech." Today, Tempest was more bored than usual. For once, the first time in a while, he decided to check on the boats. The male had heard that someone had pranked them once so maybe there'd be something new there again. Something interesting he could think about.

He, too, was born outside of the Coven. Though his past was very different from Incanto's. Tempest was born into a family that he had been ripped from at a young age, horrible circumstances that impacted him forever. He fought to learn, to eat, to survive. He was on his own, figuring out how to get by in such a cruel world. He learned about the spirits that walked among them, how to not die after getting into a scuffle, how to fight against hungry foes. Tempest was a lone wolf, and at heart, always would be.

Though today, other creatures could provide something. Being alone was a lot more time consuming, kept him on his toes, whereas some things were taken care of and left him with too much free time. They could fill that free time. With a sigh, the hybrid decided to come over, silver eyes catching sight of the similarly colored collar. Why would someone want something around their neck? "Why are you wearing that thing?" the tom asked, not really caring for the formalities. They weren't being annoying, so he didn't mind.

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ Strangers at the border seemed to be less common these days. There was no scent that she was getting off of this particular person, so she assumed they were a wanderer. Silently the girl slips up to join the rest of the group, a pleasant smile on her maw as she rests her gaze on them. She doesn't say anything yet, awaiting on their response to Athanasius.

The feline finds himself slightly taken aback at the various elysians that make their way towards him and he tries to regain his composure. Paws lightly toyed with themselves nervously as he readjusted his posture to appear more confident towards his greeters. New faces. New faces. He needed to make an effort to remember each and every one of them, but by the Gods this would be an interesting task nonetheless. Incanto clears his throat and turns his attention towards the main greeter, the one who had inquired of his name and business. "Incanto. I've heard a great many things of your clan and as someone who fancies himself a curious fellow, I wished to see for myself if the rumors were true and to join if you would allow me." His attention is then drawn towards another, who inquires on his collar and he winces lightly. "It's...-" He's not a very good liar, but they didn't need to know the full truth anyways. "- a reminder of those closest to me."

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ The faint smile upon the snowy hybrid's face widens. "Welcome, Incanto." She greets, taking a small step forward. She dips her head as a friendly gesture, looking up to them with an icy gaze. "You are more than welcome to join the Coven. My name is Aphrodite, I am the current leader and healer here; please, make yourself at home. If you need anything, give me a shout." She says with a gentle purr lingering in her smooth voice. She disregards the comment about the collar, unsure of the meaning, though figuring that perhaps it was handed down to Incanto or something left behind. Either way, she didn't want to press on that subject.

  • ———— Kady Keyper————

It's kinda killing my vibe, my back covered in knives

Kady's interest peaks when she sees a small group forming by the border of the territory. Was this perhaps another new face who was looking for a home? It seems like that was the case. The frail feline decides to slowly walk over to the group, arriving just in time to hear the stranger mention their name. Incanto. Seems like The Coven really had a thing for creatures with interesting names. And here she was... just being Kady. It was the name she was given at birth, and it was the name she still identified with now. Maybe one day she'll change it to something more fancy. Maybe she won't.

    Who knows?

    She certainly doesn't.

Her daughter gives the new joiner a welcoming spiel and it causes a small smile to form on the lioness' face. So that was how Aphrodite introduced herself to others? It was cute. "I'm Kady. Welcome to The Coven." She would offer help like a tour around camp, but honestly she was just too weak to do that. She had to focus on getting some muscle on her bones again, so it looks like she would be living a dedicated life of eating and physical training for the next few weeks to get back into shape.

Don't worry I'll be just fine for anybody wondering

  • REDUCE MY INDIVIDUALITY ——— IC OPINIONS !

It was that easy. He thought it odd how trusting clanners were or perhaps it was the fact that the leader herself had made her presence at his joining that had him at a loss for words. Intriguing creatures living an ideal life, one where you could simply leave your post and gather to meet a stranger at the border as though he were today's newest bit of entertainment. He gave a simple nod. "Thank you, I will be sure to take advantage of such a generous offer." The feline replies politely before turning his attention over towards Kady. Another one. Truly he felt he was becoming a bit popular with so many new faces coming to greet him. But it put him a bit on edge, trying to figure out how to respond to everyone. "Thank you." He notes he weakened state, but says nothing of it. He doesn't know her well enough to make a comment and he doesn't want to upset anyone accidentally when he had just been accepted.

  • Athanasius blinks slowly at Incanto as he introduces himself as such. Other members of the clan had since arrived to observe - which was something they still couldn't get over even though they had lived here for quite some time - and shifted uncomfortably, keeping their personal bubble in mind. It seemed like this was going to be another joiner, not that they minded too much, but they hoped that this one wasn't the sort to be nosy. Ana probably didn't like those kinds of people the most being as withdrawn and reserved as they were. "Welcome." The kitsune says, "I'm Athanasius Against the World, or just Athanasius. I don't like nicknames." They say, moving to pick up their basket full of herbs. Despite saying repeatedly that they didn't like nicknames, just about everyone tacked one onto them anyways. They somewhat expect for this one to follow the trend, too much to their annoyance. "I'm going back to camp. You can follow me if you want, and then you can choose your cabin..." Showing him the way and then leaving to their own cabin was about as much as they could offer without mentally taxing themselves. Being social always left them feeling grouchy.

  • "speech." The other creature replied, giving his name and business and even answering his own question. Well that was fair. Tempest noted that Incanto didn't seem to want to give many details, so he figured it wouldn't be good to pry. He could very easily live without knowing. He gave a small shrug, as if saying 'thats fair' and listening as the others replied. Well they seemed to have this good. "Well if you need me, I'm sure someone can point you to my cabin." the male replied, padding off.
