Coldpaw hadn't been herself since Ivy had left the clan. Anyone who knew her well could see it. And for those who didn't know her well, it would probably be obvious to them too. She seemed to care less about the members of the clan and often times spent her hours just gazing off into the 'nothingness' abbess. She no longer collected herbs and she had stopped grooming herself. But normally, she'd be laying in her nest. Today, she actually wanted to get back out there and do something. "Birdbones? Can you teach me something? I'm bored." Coldpaw said as she would trace her mentors scent back to the medicine cat den. She could use the knowledge... and as long as she was going to sulk, it might be nice to be acquiring more information.

BIRDBONES sorry my muse is low :0

  • Birdbones could see very clearly that Coldpaw had been disheartened (to say the very least) since Ivy... bind's disappearance. She hesitated calling him such a horrid name that he had been given as a punishment- her name was of the same nature, the only difference was that hers was StarClan given. She had decided, so as not to perpetuate the cycle that she preached people to avoid, that Ivybind would remain Ivy in her head, for that was the name he had last felt comfortable with, just as in some silly way Birdbones wished that her name was still Birdpaw.

"Oh- hi, Coldpaw," Birdbones murmured quietly, her tone withdrawn as ever, though her apprentice was probably used to it now. Racking her brains she attempted to think of something that might be relevant to teach the girl, what with the current climate. "I'll- uh, ask you what you'd prefer to learn. Treating poisons, or- or relaxing patients." she asked, large ears angled for the girl's reply. All Birdbones wanted was to take her mind off of her friend who had left her, and Birdbones felt she had to be here now for the blind apprentice, after she had run away too. Besides, Birdbones had nothing to run towards, anymore.

    / tysm for making!!

The question made Coldpaw think. She was more than happy to have Birdbones back and be given these options to learn different things, but deep down in her heart she wished very much so that her mentor had never left her. Then, perhaps the gaping hole in her heart wouldn't be so large. Or she would've been mentally ready for the lose of her beloved friend. It wasn't Birdbones' fault though. Coldpaw couldn't help but put all the blame on the leader. Whether or not she had a dark shadow dancing in her eye didn't really matter to Coldpaw. Brightstar was evil and if it wasn't for her nothing that has happened would have ever happened. And for that, Coldpaw hated the leader. She hated her enough that she even thought about slipping poison berries in her food one day. How cruel was that of a cat that was suppose to be helping the clan recover and stay safe? She gulped at her own thoughts.

"I guess... Relaxing patients. I'm not very good at that... Or relaxing myself while I help them." Coldpaw said to her mentor. Her blind eyes drifted off somewhere else though and she couldn't help but fill the sorrow rise back up in her throat.
