  • The canine breathed out slowly as he sat down, gaze closed and mind only focused on this simple task. It was something that gave him some semblance of peace during the day when he came to the Albedo Ruins and made his way to the interior where the shrine to the Holy Goddess Naleren sat. His eyes lifted up to look at the structure, large and imposing and with a stature that gave them some kind of reason to believe that she was just like himself, just like anyone. So that they could believe in one another he supposed. She had the likeness of what appeared to be a horned deer with wings in this statue but he knew she came in many different shapes and sizes. When he had been sick and ailing she had come to him but in the form of a mighty and vengeful thunderbird. But her voice had been soft and she had given him life, healed his body so that the sickness did not take him. For that he was grateful and he realized that those that called themselves gods, those that claimed to be of higher power not all of them were as bad as he remembered them to be. At least Naleren had not been.

Slowly he opened his eyes and began to hum softly, a low note that vibrated his throat as he eyed the pool of water in that glowed. He had gotten it from the pool that was within the ruins itself. Carefully he dipped his paw into the water and he lightly tapped the liquid against his forehead before then going down to tap it against his chest. It left two glowing marks upon his figure and he raised his head up to the sky. A bundle of bright deep red flowers had been placed upon the shrine itself as he curled his tail against his tired body. ''I give to you these moments and I am deeply sorry I haven't been able to give you more. I'm praying this day to be humble and thank you for the peace that has been upon the Coven for these many months. Thank you for your protection and ever watchful presence among us. Your magic which keeps these islands floating, which keeps these plants flourishing for without you, these islands would surely plummet to the ground. I only continue to hope and to understand the second chance that I have been given by you. That you will continue to keep your eyes on the Coven. Be ever with us, Naleren.'' He muttered gently as he dipped his head and pushed a small piece of obsidian near the red flowers he had brought with him. The offerings that he usually brought for Her Holiness.

  • »»» Never once had Mike been considered a religious man. He didn't understand it, but he respected it. He had never given it a shot, never prayed to anyone or worshipped anyone, but he got the feeling he wouldn't exactly be welcome into the religion. He just got a silly, stupid feeling that maybe after murdering a handful of animals he wouldn't exactly be considered for the family. But that was something he didn't really like thinking about. He liked to think beyond that, to consider it all forgotten and in the past.

Eyeing up the deputy (the title for which he didn't even want to try thinking about, peri-whatever) the hound's fictitious brows pulled together, a barely noticeable furrow as he kept his distance from the angelhound. If this was a religious thing, and he was pretty sure it was, he didn't want to interrupt the man. Didn't want to risk coming in and barking his useless two-cents and cut into a very important prayer or whatever people did when they were crouching down before a shrine with glowing dots on their faces. He almost did have half a mind to wander over and ask a few questions. See what this was all about.

  • He still paused there with his head lowered and his eyes closed once more as he turned to look up to the sky. It felt good to commune with Naleren despite his own troubles. After all she was the one that saved and healed him. To not give due respect for this seemed wrong in every way and he tapped his paw to his forehead and then chest once more before he turned around. Though he was surprised to see Mik here and he tilted his head a bit before giving a brighter smile and moving to approach the other canine. "Hey Mik. I didn't hear you come in. What's up?" He looked like he had something on his mind and frankly he was all ears despite the want to go to sleep right now. But the angelhound was feeling rather at peace currently. Though there was still the nagging worry of his own plight he could look past it for the moment. "You been alright? Anything you want to discuss?"

  • "speech." More creatures were at the ruins once again, but this time the intent was clear and intriguing. He didn't spend much time at the shrine, but was curious to see what all the speaking was about. It seemed to be Barghest, glowing in two spots, and saying some sort of... prayer?

Tempest was religious, but not in the traditional sense. He didn't believe in higher powers or that a god influenced their lives. That was because he had no reason to. The spirits, on the other hand, were something he had encountered time and time again, he knew how they acted and how to stay safe from them. Not once had they mentioned a Naleren or Derhog, or any other higher power for that fact. If he had an experience where these higher beings proved themself to exist and be all they were hailed as? Then he'd start believing. Until then he'd continue believing what he knew to be real.

The hybrid decided to walk into the area, seeing as he wasn't the first to interrupt. Hopefully the deputy was done. There was something Temp was genuinely curious about. "What leads you to believe in Naleren? I've never seen any solid evidence they exist, have you?" the tom asked, eyes gazing curiously at the other.
