  • She doesn't exactly have her heart set on joining this place, but it isn't the worst of her options. She could be joining one of those really big, really mean groups. Or the really quiet, peaceful ones - though, that does sound tempting... No, this is probably a good middle ground. Plus her sister apparently lives here now, which is something the Cartel has that the other grounds don't. Lexie squints her green eyes, taking in the scenery and following the moving figures. Even though the place looks like this there are still people living here, and her sister living here, and she might as well become one of them. "Uh, hi?" The feline calls, setting herself up for a decidedly good start.

She clears her throat a little, still looking around. That's someone walking towards her, right? They probably need more information than a hello. "First thing, I guess - has anyone seen my sister?"

  • "Well, if I knew who your sister was then perhaps I could tell you." Came his usual sultry tone as he wandered his way over to the border. He had heard the hello from a distance and while he was sure that someone else would have likely taken care of it he was in the vicinity and so he figured he needed to go and check it out. After all, he was being a bit of a shut in and he hated that. He was a social creature and he needed to get out as much as possible and spread the love. A smile pulled across his pale features and he sat down, curling his thick devil like tail against his body. On a whim he found himself debating about something. Well about someone and how he was planning on giving him a gift. What that gift was he didn't know yet but he was working on that. "Why are you asking for someone in the Cartel anyway? Are you looking to join here?" Because sister or not he wasn't keen on giving out information just for the hell of it. That just wouldn't do with the fact that the Cartel was in a pickle with enemies right now.

  • " — A little behind Latte was Asimov, coming to stand next to the much larger alabaster hellhound. He listened as Latte spoke, a bit enamored with every word he said, even if it was just something so typical like a fancied-up 'name and business'. Scarlet eyes took in the she, studying her. He was somewhat glad there were more women joining- more for me, he thought quickly, some idea plaguing him, but he looked back at Latte, trying to remind himself of what should be his.

He stretched, distracting himself. "Yeah, gimme a name and I bet I've seen her," Maybe a little more than seen her, knowing me, he paused. "I'm Asimov," He greeted, not wanting to have to say it later.

  • Well, were they just meant to guess this person's sister? Batterychicken didn't have any idea, spit drooling out of his maw as he dragged his paws over to stand by Asimov. He hated being around Asimov and Latte together. The way the Underboss looked at the host was rather nauseating to Batterychicken, as he was so painfully love sick. Even Battery could tell that.

"Hey," Batterychicken greeted, as his tail began wagging a little behind him. "I'm Batterychicken." Sniffling loudly, his gaze on the feline, his mouth split open into a friendly grin.

  • Even though she had sort of seen the figure moving towards her, her jaw drops open at how tall the stranger is. Spending so much time wandering around unclaimed land had mostly only exposed her to prey animals, family, and the odd stranger. These strangers are nothing like those. Lexie shakes her head to clear the shock. "Yeah, that makes sense. She's about this tall, a point cat, dark eyes?" A dark paw waves at around ear height. "That's the second thing - if she's here, I'll be staying, I guess."

The next man, Asimov, is all kinds of weird colours, but in a kind of attractive way. Was this why joining a group was dangerous? Because everyone was pretty? "A name? Alexandria," she says, and after a pause, "Uh, you probably meant my sister's name. It's Colette." Her attention turns to Batterychicken and his big yellow eyes and dark pelt. He could use some dandelions in his fur. It'd make the slobbering less... gross, and help with his smell. The feline nods along with her own thoughts, hesitantly returning his smile. "I'm Alexandria."

  • Ah, this sounded like Colette. He had first met her sister when she had joined a couple of days ago. She was nice, so Batterychicken was warm to welcoming in Alexandria. "Yeah, Colette is here," Batterychicken said with a smile, nodding his head in the direction of their mansion. "So you'll be staying then? Welcome to the Cartel."

As far as dandelions went, he wouldn't be too opposed to having them in his pelt. He had all sorts of dirt and leaves stuck to his mucky mess of matted fur, so some dandelions would go rather unnoticed if one was to put them in his coat. He certainly wasn't very pretty. "Are you a good business lady, Alexandria? We could use a few of them around here. I'm Lieutenant of the Narcotics Division. Give me a shout if you need anything," He added, grinning.

  • While Colette sounds familiar, he cannot say he actually knows who the girl is. Perhaps she was another one of his nieces? There were so many of his nieces and nephews running about he was beginning to loose track of them all. He was tempted to keep a logbook of all of his family's names, but even that sounded like a bear of a task. Alluring blue eyes examine Alex and is glad to hear the other will be staying with them for the time being. "It's always nice to have a fresh face around here," he says while flashing the girl a small smile. There had been quite a few joiners as of late, but he was starting to memorize a few names and faces much faster than he had originally anticipated. "My name is Yakova, one of the executors here. I'm sure your sister will here soon." Or so he hopes for Alex's sake.

  • Well it was at least nice to have something in common with this stranger; Nyx is drawn to the sounds of his fellow Cartellians and another that he cannot place a name to. Nyx was good with names, faces and voices, to not be able to place two and two together meant that there was someone new to greet.

Approaching in the steps of Yakova and joining all of the Cartellians already gracing the woman with their presence, Nyx offers Alexandria warm grin as he mentally takes note of her since there would be no doubt that he would be seeing more of Alex in the future. "Guess that means you're sticking around then, nice to meet you, name's Nyx. No fancy titles or anything, they call every lackey here a 'thug' though. Make of that what you will." At the mention of Colette, Nyx can see the connection between the two beyond their aesthetics; they look nothing quite alike, almost ebony and ivory, but their mannerisms were almost identical. They both had that same tendency to stumble over their words - not that Nyx could say too much there without being hypocritical - it made sense they were sisters. Nyx was the same with his own sister. Clove was more in the image of their father while Nyx took many of his genetic traits from their mother, but they still held the same fire within each other that fuelled their passion for what they believed in. Perhaps there was a genetic aspect to personality, or perhaps it was purely nurture over nature. "I've met your sister before, she's fitting in well here so you will too no doubt." Nyx could empathise with Alex needing to follow her sister, that was something Nyx was very familiar with. Well, Nyx was more or less dragged here by his sister, but after running away once the boy had in fact chosen to return. Family was not the be-all and end-all, but it was certainly a good starting place.

  • "lexie!"

with how many times she explored the territory, with others and on her own, colette fully expected herself to be used to the twists and turns. and yet when she stepped out on her own today, intending to harvest herbs and bring them back as a present for nyx, she got lost. she had been on her way back ti the mansion - the only staple she could see from almost anywhere - when she had heard the utterance of her name. she followed the noise, smelling the unmistakable stench of battery and the kinder scent of nyx, along with one she hadn't been graced with for a long while.

the young female brushed against nyx's side as she drew close, comfortable with the other since their venture and his mini lessons. her dark eyes glittered and her smile widened, "awe, lexie, i thought you were dead! if i knew you were alive, i would've brought you with me," she chirped, leaving her friend's side to knock her head against alexandria's, a purr rumbling in her chest, "well, if you're staying, we can share a room! i'd ask that you not burn sage anymore, but believe me, there are worse smelling things here," a playful jab at battery, though he had been getting better as of late. she shifted her body to stand alongside her dark furred sister and gestured for them to get a move on. the rest of them could make their oogly eyes and bat their long eyelashes later, she had a supposed-undead sister to chat with.

  • Her ears perk up when Batterychicken confirms that her sister is here. It would have been several shades of worrying if she'd somehow lost track of her sister. The smile on her face grows a little bit before dimming at the question. "Uh, I'm more of a plant lady than business. Is there training?" They would still let her join even if they didn't have a use for her, right? Yakova's comment clears up one worry and brings her back to another worry. Everyone is so strange looking and pretty. A little furrow wiggles between her brows as she looks around for her promised sister.

Lexie's sight stumbles onto Nyx first, blinking at the flow of words. Thugs? Lackeys? "...I'm a cat," she says slowly, not entirely sure what she or her sister have gotten into. The question of how her sister is fitting in sits behind a confused face. How could Lettie go from wandering around outside clans to fitting into one, especially with people being called lieutenants and executors and thugs and lackeys? It's all way too much.

"Lettie!" Her face lights up when her sister finally joins the (massive) group, watching her bump against Nyx with mild confusion. It gets replaced with soft laughter as she returns the headbutt. "Uh, dead tired. You know I'm alive when I nap, right?" She rubs a paw against the back of her neck. Alexandria's eyes dart around the group, unsure of how people would react to Colette's words. "I'm sageing the room, it needs it. Bye" She waves goodbye to the group as she follows Lettie's lead towards the mansion. This would be a weird talk to have in front of others.

  • "Plants? How does growing illicit drugs for the business sound?" Battery grinned, rather menacingly. He too was a gardener, but not of the decorative flower variety. His specialities lay in poppy seeds, cannabis and coca leaves. Maybe it wasn't the type of gardening that Alexandria was envisioning. "Yeah, I can train you to grow them, if you'd like. We have a greenhouse full of plants. Just give me a shout, I'm usually in there." After that, he watched as the female left with her sister, before turning away himself to head towards the mansion too. He had work to do.
